Great news for freedom lovers everywhere last night – Fidel Castro finally kicked the bucket. Bad news for his good friend Congressman Jim McGovern:

Iconic revolutionary? Ever since the Castros seized power over fifty years ago the Cuban government has jailed anyone who speaks out freely against the Castro family. According to Human Rights Watch, “Cuban citizens have been systematically deprived of their fundamental rights to free expression, privacy, association, assembly, movement, and due process of law. Tactics for enforcing political conformity have included police warnings, surveillance, short-term detentions, house arrests, travel restrictions, criminal prosecutions, and politically motivated dismissals from employment.”
What kind of “iconic revolution” ends up with more oppression than they had before the revolution began? Granted, the guy Castro overthrew was a huge bag of dicks himself. But if you’re gonna overthrow one dictator for another, you’re not really a revolutionary. You’re just an asshole who craves power.

Had we let the idiots who provoked the Boston Massacre and tarred and feathered tax collectors for doing their job, this country wouldn’t have lasted more than a couple years. Castro was nothing more than the leader of an angry mob who had no vision other than making himself wealthy at the expense of others.

If they lived in Cuba and voiced any of these opinions about Castro they’d all be shot.
This is what SJW’s are doing today. Copying and pasting about Cuba’s legendary healthcare and education systems. First of all, Cuba does not have the highest literacy rate in the world. Secondly, the numbers they are reporting come directly from Cuban controlled media. Sounds legit. I’m sure 99.7% of the people in Cuba are literate. Definitely. The sad part is that the smartest people in the country are actually wasting away in Cuban prisons.
Thirdly, if the education and healthcare systems are so great, then why do thousands of Cubans risk everything to wade through 90 miles of shark infested waters just to get away from it?
Those guys must HATE healthcare and education. It’s the only possible reason they’d want to leave this revolutionary paradise all these white Americans in San Francisco keep talking about.
If you wanna know what Cuba is really like, you should probably try talking to a Cuban. Or go down to little Havana in Miami today and see all the people cheering the death of this iconic leader. But of course these idiots will never do that, because they’d rather bury their heads in the sand and share Slate and Huffington Post articles instead. At the end of the day it’s just SJW’s being SJW’s and praising a Nazi because he also hates the greatest country on earth.

Has anyone ever directly asked McGovern if he denounced what Castro has done? If he tries to make excuses, dodges or waffles around the question then we truly know what kind of person he really is.
