Washington’s secondary came onto the field during introductions during Monday night’s preseason game against the Cleveland Browns with their hands raised, a nod to the protests in Ferguson, Mo., over the killing of Michael Brown.

The idea started with safety Brandon Meriweather and cornerbackDeAngelo Hall.

Meriweather explained the decision to the media after the game. “We just want to show our supporters what’s going on in St. Louis,” he said. “We just wanted to show support.”

“That could have been any one of our brothers, our cousins,” safety Ryan Clark added. “When you get an opportunity to make a statement, and be more than a football player, it’s good.”

There it is. The dumbest shit you will ever see in your lifetime. Brandon fucking Merriweather. A man who has made a career out of taking cheap shots on people, is somehow leading a “protest” against a cheap shot against Michael Brown in Ferguson?

And everyone else thought this was a wise idea. Of all the morons who could’ve led this, they picked the guy who is possibly the worst safety I’ve ever seen, and is really only famous for beating people with his helmet and leading with his head on every tackle. Nice going Redskins.

Speaking of hands up, did anyone see Johnny Manziel play against this secondary last night? First of all, this has to be the oldest secondary I’ve ever seen. Any idiot should’ve been able to shred them apart. Merriweather and company must’ve thought though the Browns were putting their hands in solidarity with them. Turns out they were just trying to grab the balls that Johnny Rookie Bitch threw 20 feet over their head.

As far as the whole Ferguson thing goes I don’t have a strong opinion…..yet. It’s pretty simple really. If the cop was acting like a hard ass and shot this poor innocent kid like it’s being portrayed on Gawker, then he should be arrested. But if the cop felt like his life was in danger and Michael Brown was reaching for his gun, like it’s portrayed on FoxNews then it was justified. Pretty simple really. I wasn’t there so I have no idea what happened. I also don’t know the cop or Michael Brown, so it’s hard for me to have an opinion about the character of either one.

The Big Bang Clock (Merriweather) doesn’t know either one either. He just knows that Michael Brown is black and the cop is not. Therefore he’s on Michael Brown’s side.  I guess the only thing that would’ve made Merriweather’s protest more accurate was if he was shoving a small Asian man into a rack of Doritos before putting his hands up.

Oh yea, and his secondary mates aren’t much smarter than he is. Ryan Clark used to play for the Steelers. He said this about Tom Brady going into last year’s week 9 matchup:

“Even when guys aren’t around him, even when he’s not about to be sacked, when his clock goes off in his head that the ball should be out, we’ll see him duck, we’ll see him flinch. When you get Tom Brady doing that, the whole New England Patriots mystique goes away.”

How’d that game end up anyway? Oh yea, the Patriots won 55-31, and Brady threw for 432 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Don’t. Poke. The Bear. Guess that mystique didn’t end up going anywhere after all Clarky.

And Deangelo Hall is one of the NFL’s most notorious dooshnozzles, and has been since he came into the league. In ought seven he thought it would be wise to carry a poster of Michael Vick onto the field with him, and also wearing “MV7” written on the shade under his eyes, on the same day that Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison on dogfighting charges.

So apparently Deangelo Hall will lead a meaningless protest in your honor if you are black and something unfortunate happens to you, regardless of whether or not that unfortunate event was due to your poor decision making.

But hey, at least these idiots aren’t complaining about the fact that they’re walking out of a giant helmet with a purple Indian on it. After all, there’s plenty of white people to get outraged about that.

Feel free to share your thoughts to keep the conversation going.
