SourceThe search continues for a missing Clarksburg, Mass., woman. Joanne Ringer, 39, never showed up for her new job on March 3 and hasn’t been heard from since. Police found her car 75 miles away, in Easthampton, where she was supposed to start her new job. Chad Reidy, who married Joanne last year and bought a Clarksburg house with her, was the last person known to have seen her. Jo has brown hair, with strands dyed purple, and a fully tattooed right arm. If you have seen or spoken to Joanne or know of her whereabouts, you are asked to call the Massachusetts State Police, Cheshire Barracks at (413) 743-4700 or the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office at (413) 499-1112.

GILLIAN JONES — THE BERKSHIRE EAGLE Chad Reidy looks through an unfinished scrapbook made by his wife Joanne 'Jo' Ringer in their Clarksburg home which they have lived in together since October 2016. Ringer has been missing since March 2. Monday, March 27, 2017.

A few people have messaged us about this story, as it’s been a month now since Jo Ringer was last seen. I can’t believe it’s not a bigger story to be honest. Even when you Google her name very little comes up. How does a woman just disappear without a trace like this and it’s NOT dominating the headlines? Unfortunately I have a very hard time believing Jo Ringer is alive, which means someone out there knows what happened to her and they’re not saying anything.

We watch a lot of Lifetime movies in the Turtleboy household, and the first person they always suspect is the husband. I’m not saying Chad Reidy did it, nor do I know what evidence the State Police have. But the fact of the matter is this whole thing is incredibly shady. Here is his alibi:

Reidy said the last time he saw his wife was the day of her disappearance. They had finished their morning chores and breakfast when Ringer got a phone call and left the house to visit someone, Reidy said. Reidy left to visit friends in Worthington, and when he returned to the house around 1 p.m., he said Ringer wasn’t there. Her phone provider had shut off her cellphone service because of an unpaid bill she disputed, so she could only be contacted when connected to WiFi, according to her family.

14045762_1140977562625782_5920650179271776876_n

So…..who was she visiting after the morning chores? We’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any information about where she allegedly went. And has this person confirmed it? What time did she leave there? Who was the husband visiting in Worthington? What time did he leave there according to the person he was visiting? Clarksburg is in the asscrack of nowhere, bordering North Adams, Williamstown, Vermont, and Florida (the town). Easthampton is like, an hour and a half from there. How did her car end up there? Why isn’t the husband out participating in the search? Like I said, I’ve seen a lot of Lifetime movies and Dateline specials. By now he would be prime suspect number one, especially with a relatively weak alibi.

Looks like Turtleboy isn’t the only one confused. Check out the Bring Home Jo Ringer Facebook page. A couple people have started to turn on him:

He also said something strange in the comments that left friends scratching their heads:

Screen Shot 2017-04-04 at 12.19.56 AM Screen Shot 2017-04-04 at 12.20.27 AM

And this one chick is straight up calling him out about it:

Screen Shot 2017-04-04 at 12.17.41 AM

Since then more and more people have chimed in:

Also look who liked this guy’s comment:

Savannah Ringer is Jo’s daughter.

Screen Shot 2017-04-04 at 2.53.16 PM

And take from this what you will, but she liked a comment that expressed suspicion about the husband’s involvement in her disappearance.

Anyway, we have no smoking gun here, and I’m sure the State Police know a lot more about this than we have in front of us. It’s just crazy that someone can disappear for this long and the story is so underreported. She obviously did not kill herself, since her car was found in Easthampton. Someone must’ve seen that car on camera somewhere. And has either his or her alibi for the night been confirmed? No way of knowing since none of the major media outlets in this state have seemed to show any interest in it.

Did Chad Reidy have something to do with this? Who knows. We are not here to accuse him one way or another without the facts. But until the police let the public know if they have any suspects or persons of interest, who else could anyone possibly look at first?

The husband just killed himself didn’t he?

Yes the weak excuse for a husband and man took his own life because police were likely closing in on him.

I would also look closely at any male friends – perhaps one that she might not have told her husband about… or one that she has known who liked her a little more than she liked him back. If she went to meet someone – and that person hasn’t come forward- it would be either the h making up a story- or a someone the h wasn’t supposed to know about. If the latter- that type of person might be very involved in looking for her and perhaps pointing fingers at the h in the process.

How about the police give him a polygraph test??? He should have no problem with that if he has nothing to hide. So how about it,mass state police????

I find it kind of odd! In an article I read that her husband said she went to work overnight and he thought he surprise her with breakfast for when she come home. Now he’s saying that they had breakfast and then she went to visit a friend. Kinda confusing

  • Apparently the only person on the internet who has a grasp on reality.

Everyone who is reading this article, and commenting with out even the slightest bit of information better check them selves. Half of you don’t even know either of the people in the relationship. Of course the husband looks guilty without any evidence, the person who was trusted with someone’s love and life should be first questioned for the situation. It’s proper protocol. There is no evident in favour of him and by the law, that means he is innocent. Imagine if you were being blamed for you’re loved one going missing. Calm the fuck down and find something better to do with you’re time.

There was a front-pager on this in the Gazette recently, and it just reeked of general ineptitude on the part of the police and the press around here, whose investigatory activities are more often focused on finding missing pets and solving mailbox baseball cases.
They seem to be taking everything anyone close to her has to say at face value. “Oh, you have no idea where she be? OK, works for us! Case closed!”

Could you clarify? I don’t follow–how else would he get fliers? Go into Staples and beg at the copy center counter?

Sure…Had 300 flyers made would be more appropriate..Just letting everyone know he “BOUGHT” 300 flyers. He’s invested..sure..

I have seen a few “off” things he wrote on his page too..not the kind of stuff a heartbroken husband of a missing woman would write, IMO of course.

I could take “she’s where I belong” as meaning “I belong with her”. And while it’s true that the husband or boyfriend is the first logical person to scrutinize when a woman disappears, that isn’t evidence against him, it’s just statistics about cases like this. I’m not defending him, I’m just saying that people potentially turning their fears for her well-being into a witch hunt against him isn’t going to help find her. If hasn’t done anything wrong, people might be making accusations that make this all even harder for someone already living with incredibly difficult emotions. If he did harm her, it still doesn’t help the investigation to attack him on social media. I’d encourage everyone to focus on the facts (as few as there seem to be, unfortunately) and not get carried away by wanting to find someone to hold responsible.

People run away. Its happened to me. I had a friend who lived with me and ran away. Her friends claimed I killed her. The truth was she was preggers, living in Lawrence, and didn’t want people to know. I’ll believe the woman is dead when they find a body; until then she is simply missing. Leave the husband alone.

Maybe your the husband using this fake name to cover your ass. I served Active Duty Army with her Brother. He’s a brother for life to me. I’ll have his back. Her husband looks like a douchbag.

A man after my own heart. I had the same thing happen. A woman got too close before I realized I wasn’t into vagina that much so I did the natural thing, made sure she disappeared. C’mon, no harm no foul. Just make sure the body doesn’t show up. Or any DNA. But I did it before you had to worry about CSI and shit like that. So I was free to chase my true love: Cock’n’Balls!!!!!
