I wish people would think before they started these fucking GoFundMe pages. They are always diabolical enough to find wording that tugs at the heartstrings but not smart enough to know that people are going to feed them through the Internet meat grinder when they post them. Kaylah Bickford, of Dover New Hampshire, is one of those people. Her fiancé of like ten years served like a two year stint in the Coast Guard way back when, and even though her kids weren’t even on the planet yet, she’s dropping terms like “military family” in her quest for cash.

I say cash because that’s what’s she wants. People have offered her items but she declined them. She was Internet panhandling all over the local buy/sell pages.

Let’s take a look at her GFM shall we?

DISABLE! DISABLE Military family! DISABLE! So many red flags – so little time.
It’s just too bad that he all of a sudden caught a hot case of the autism, and wounded his shoulder, while he was patrolling American waters. Too bad the issue is that the US Coast Guard, while he was enlisted, was considered DOT, NOT DOD, until 2002. So, fifteen years ago he wasn’t even considered military. I’m not downplaying  the service of the Coast Guard here – but this guy wasn’t in active combat. Shit, the last time we fought any sort of a war on American soil was the Civil War. Even when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, FDR declared war AFTER the invasion. So, unless we’ve got the Coast Guard circling the imaginary waters of Afghanistan – this whole thing is bullshit.

Convenient wording to pull at the heartstrings as one commenter pointed out.

That’s amazing. He has PPD?? She is just throwing out acronyms around and hoping one will stick. I don’t know many male Coast Guard members that get diagnosed with Postpartum Depression. Maybe he was one of those men in the 80’s that go pregnant? Whoops. That was the Cosby men.

Of course, when an actual military wife tried to confirm Kaylah’s validity, with some pretty decent questions, the GFM cow had some choice words.

People catching Autism while in the Coast Guard? Is that a side effect of chemical weapons?

Someone even reached out to the VA and there was no caseworker with the name Kaylah was throwing around.

Plus, the issues that arised in her old apartment were her own fault because she had an unauthorized washer and dryer on the premises.

This wasn’t Kaylah’s first stint in scamming either.

People even remember her trying to raise money for a child’s funeral when she didn’t have a kid die. That’s about as disgusting as one can get.
Meanwhile, they can’t manage to get their own kids toys, but they had enough time and place to go bare back and make a new human. Nothing says “thar she blows” like bumping uglies on a shelter cot. Hell, I’m moist just thinking about it. Barf.

Kaylah couldn’t take the heat, made one last update, and then deleted her Facebook page. Could have seen that coming. However, the GFM is still up. What else should we expect from a woman who asks how long spice stays in your system?

Retired Army Guy here, but giving respect where respect is due. The US Coast Guard has and does its part on the “War on Terror” and the “War on Drugs”.

Nathan B. “Nate” Bruckenthal (July 17, 1979 – April 24, 2004) was a United States Coast Guardsman who was killed in the Iraq War, becoming the first to die in wartime action since the Vietnam War. Bruckenthal and two U.S. Navy sailors were killed while intercepting a waterborne suicide attack on an offshore oil terminal off the coast of Iraq in the northern Persian Gulf in 2004.

I married my Mr. Von Nation a week after he got home from the gulf war. He was so sexy with his red beret, and jump boots…mmmmm… anyway, I digress. After he left the Army, we came home, with 3 kids and no jobs. Guess what? Veterans are put on the top of the list for subsidized housing! We were in a cute little house within a few months! This helped us immensely, as we got on our feet, went to college, and were able to buy a home of our own. Point is, if you are a veteran, you get to go to the front of the line. There is no way the VA would let you be homeless.

Bum shoulder that prevents him from working but not making three kids, yeah ok. We have vets who have lost limbs that still work and he has a “bum” shoulder and can’t? That can mean a ton of things, it makes me think after 15 years he doesn’t even have a diagnosis, which makes me think it’s a lie.

Not all veterans are engaged in active combat. Some worked homeland missions and got injured, vital missions to ensure combat effectiveness which leads to saving lives. There is a veteran and a combat veteran. Now I don’t think this bitch’s husband collects a percentage but if he does, and he received his injury during 2000-2002 then he is a veteran, especially since he served during war time. That doesn’t mean he can use that as a sympathy factor for being a scumfuck. I was Army, but I still consider coast guard military and they should receive the same respect. What TDF said is right, if you are military ball busting is normal but if you never served, DONT DARE make ANY derogatory comments about a branch because you will look like an idiot in retrospect.

  • Bum Shoulder?
    June 14, 2017 at 11:35 am

Does a bum shoulder even constitute a “disability”? There are proud American heroes out there who are missing limbs, and have prosthetic devices, and are getting on with their lives! (THANK YOU – TO ALL OF THEM!!!)

And yet, you whine like a little bitch, because your man has a “bum” shoulder!!!!

Fucking go away, you pathetic wretch!

the Bum Shoulder deal really relies on what happened. I can say that his VA compensation doesn’t say 20% for a “bum shoulder”. She should use the accurate terminology which leads me to suspect its a lie.

The Coast Guard doesn’t come under the DoD now either, they are under DHS (Department of Homeland Security). They are military and they do deploy. And marrying a vet doesn’t turn you magically into a military family. Try that logic with a person who has to go 6 months to a year while their spouse is deployed and they’re taking care of their kids alone.

As far as her comment about who talks down to other branches of the military, other branches always do it to each other (good, clean ball busting). But if someone who is non-military does it, it’s game on.

Right now, there are CG members serving all over the globe. Even when CG was part of DOT, members are considered military, just as much as any other branch. Research number of CG killed in action in Vietnam. Your comments about CG not being military should be revised as it shows as much smarts as Ms. Marie. btw, no two year enlistments in CG so sounds like he got tossed out and not eligible for VA.
I suppose you would consider a medic not part of the military, using same logic. Show some respect, respect all duties of the military. Some save lives, others take them. But we all do our part. Author should stay away from water.

The septic tank for the entire apartment complex burst, and her apartment was the only one flooded with sewage? Yeah right.

I’m guessing, as is the case with most of these GoScamMe postings, there’s not a word of truth in the entire story, including her sperm-donor’s “military service”.

Remember kids, CAPITALIZE words that you want to EMPHASIZE. It gives them extra MEANING and makes people more SYMPATHETIC to your cause. However, it does not IMPROVE your SPELLING.

Few issues with some information above-

Coast Guard does in fact fall under DHS now, and at one point was part of DOT. The Coast Guard was in fact involved in Vietnam, as well as the Normandy invasion in 1944. I served from 1993 to 2001, and was discharged as a veteran. And there were no 2 year enlistments un the Coast Guard.

You are considered a veteran if you fulfill your original enlistment, if you served during a specific conflict which has not been designated with a closing date. Whether you see combat or not, you still served, and are still considered a veteran.

There are two types of veterans that fall within the 90s decade- “Gulf War” veteran and “Gulf War Era” veteran. There was no closing date on that conflict at a certain point.

I’m proud to have served, and it’s disgusting that someone uses the CG or any other branch for a that matter as a scam.

I’m disgusted that SSTG spoke out of turn without doing some fact finding before writing, and then took it a step further to make a few cracks about a branch of our Military. Clearly she’s never served.
