Apparently now you will be kicked off of Facebook for bullying if you share a picture of yourself holding an award for Turtleboy Sports:

Yup, Bret Killoran, who was chosen to accept the award for Worcester County’s Best Blog, as voted on by the people, had his picture taken down because wearing our gear while holding our awards is now “bullying.” Can’t make this stuff up.

The funny part is that Bret probably commits at least 500 suspendable offenses per day just by interacting with troglodytes on such havens of intellectual thought as The Brockton Hub and Threw Up In Fall River. But telling people in the most colorful way possible that he’s going to spread is Bret butter all over you doesn’t get him in trouble. This does:

Not this

or this

or this

but this

So he appealed the decision:

And then this happened:

Oh look, Facebook’s robots made another “mistake.” Or was it one of their world class engineers?

Anyway, we’ll be adding this to the file. I think Facebook has about 13 more days to ignore our demand letter before we move on to the next phase. If they wanna stick to their story that a human being is making these judgement calls a California judge is gonna have a lot of fun with that one. Easy way and a hard way Zuckerberg. Stay tuned……

Facebook is destroying society. Facebook is attempting to control what people read and what they say, in an attempt to control how they act and think. Too many people are becoming dependent upon facebook for their news, while others are using it as a platform to bully others.

There are people out there who say that facebook is private and that they can do what they want, but facebook has positioned itself to be one of the only social media platforms being used by individuals, by businesses, and by politicians. Therefore, they have more of an obligation to be fair than “Joe the website man.” Furthermore, by positioning themselves in a unique position without any competitors, they may be violating anti-trust laws by randomly suspending users without just cause.

Although I openly don’t agree with everything you post, do people realize how damaging it can be to cut free speech from the Internet?

How do you get around saying you’re not making “posts that bully private individuals or Harass anyone on Facebook?”

I would assume it’s because most of their content is based off of public posts. Technically they’re giving an opinion on something that someone shared publicly

Bullying is defined as to use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.
so yeah I don’t see how that’s bullying at all. Unless the turtle wants them to cry and act like a bitch then it’s not bullying.
and harassment is aggressive pressure or intimidation.
how in any way is posting someone’s one words and pictures and commenting on them (in hilarious fashion) harassment?
That would mean about 12 million people harass the president on a daily basis. (and I don’t just mean Trump, every president has taken their share)
The new “definitions” of bullying and harassment are so ridiculous! You can hear mean things and still live to tell the story, bitches!
