The MSM loves to spread fake news, and locally the worst offender by far is Boston 25 News, AKA Fox 25 News. Check out this tear jerker of a faux outrage story:
Two workers at the Chinatown MBTA station have been fired after they video of them allegedly blocking a the T says is visually impaired man from entering the platform throwing his walking stick away from him.The victim, a homeless man named Jerry, tried to follow another rider through the Chinatown Station gates without paying, but was physically stopped.During the scuffle, he lost his walking stick. One of the workers appears to toss it away from him, leaving him lost, wandering and searching for nearly two minutes until finally a transit police officer arrives and hands him the stick before letting him through the gate to wait for his train.Boston 25 News has learned the two employees were hired by the company Block by Block and contracted as part of the T’s new customer service program and have been since been fired.
“The MBTA is deeply saddened by the contractors’ completely unacceptable behavior and the T moved immediately to ensure these individuals were terminated. Additionally, the MBTA has ordered mandatory re-training for all of the company’s personnel who interact with MBTA customers and will closely monitor the process as it moves forward,” a statement from the MBTA said.
“HearTless.” What kind of animals would do this to such a nice blind homeless man? It’s not enough for these workers to be fired. They should be humiliated by the major news outlets in Boston too. And the hordes of morons who blindly believe everything they see on the Internet agreed with them:
Except it turns out Jerry Tolbert is a professional scumbag who many claim isn’t really blind, and is well known around town as a scam artist. Just ask a guy who has arrested him, been assaulted by him, and claims that Jerry can see just fine:
Many who have dealt with him personally have passed along similar stories:
Others who have had interactions with him claim that Jerry Tolbert spit on the employees after they wouldn’t let him sneak onto the train for free:
Others who have dealt with Jerry Tolbert claim that he has threatened people, used his cane to block individuals, and said things that would lead you to believe that he’s not really blind:
Nevertheless, Sarah Risko did not believe the flood of people who were commenting on this story:
She’s right – blind people can ride the T for free:
So then why was Jerry Tolbert trying to sneak on the train if he could’ve just gotten on for free? It’s almost as if he’s not really blind. Almost.
Jerry Tolber is a really great guy though. I’m sure his one-sided version of the story is reliable. It’s not like he’s ever been caught smoking crack cocaine at this very same MBTA station. It’s not like he’s ever resisted arrest at this very same MBTA station. It’s not like he’s ever assaulted a female MBTA cop who suffered two deep lacerations after he cut her with his crackpipe. He’s a great guy, not a crackhead!
Oh wait, he actually did all those things:
Oops!! I guess Boston 25 News was more interested in the clicks and ad revenue they’d make from a story like this than they were in the actual truth. “Real news.”
It was probably just a one time thing though. Jerry Tolbert is a great guy who was probably just having a bad day and wanted to attack a female cop with a crackpipe. Except for that time two years later when he caused a scene at a pharmacy after they wouldn’t give him drugs, and then assaulted a cop who came and asked him kindly to leave:
Boston Police arrested a Boylston Street resident for allegedly causing a disturbance at a Albany Street pharmacy on Monday. Police responded to a call from the Boston Health Care for the Homeless around 4:30 p.m. on Monday after the building security reported a disturbance in the pharmacy area. Upon arrival, officers reportedly saw the security guard ask a man to leave the premises. During this conversation, officers reportedly observed the man using loud profanity. At this time, the responding officer asked the man to leave, which resulted in more shouting and profanity. The officer took hold of the suspects arm and attempted to escort him from the building, but the suspect pushed the officer and a scuffle unfolded. The officer was reportedly struck in the mouth, but was able to subdue the suspect. The suspect was identified as Jerry Tolbert of 39 Boylston Street. Tolbert was arrested and charged him with disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer.
It’s almost as if this guy thinks rules don’t apply to him, authority means nothing, and he can physically assault people for doing their job when he doesn’t get his way.
Nah, that can’t be it. Fox 25 News says he’s a victim. The people at the pharmacy should’ve been fired just like the MBTA workers for doing their job.
Plus, it’s not like Jerry Tolbert sent a series of anthrax hoax letters to the governor of Massachusetts, the Suffolk County DA, a reporter at the Boston Herald, the publisher of the Boston Globe, and the head of US Postal Inspection Service back in 2002 when anthrax letters were all the rage with terrorists, all while being incarcerated in a Massachusetts prison. Oh wait, he did that too:
A Massachusetts prison inmate was charged recently with sending five anthrax hoax letters to government officials and the media last month. According to a federal indictment made public July 18, Jerry Tolbert, 43, sent threatening letters laced with white powder to Acting Governor Jane Swift, the Suffolk district attorney, the head of the US Postal Inspection Service in Boston, a reporter for the Boston Herald, and the publisher of The Boston Globe. Tolbert, who is serving time in South Bay Correctional Center, had been scheduled for release July 19. The anthrax hoax charges each carry a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
But I’m sure that Fox 25 News was reporting the whole story this time around. I’m sure Jerry Tolbert was obeying the rules, respecting the employees and paying customers, and not causing a disturbance this time. Definitely.
This is why people read Turtleboy Sports. Because Fox 25 wasn’t the only one to report this story. After they did the rest of the MSM followed – the Herald, WBZ, WHDH, WCVB:
The MSM has proven time and time again that they lie for profit. They have no interest in reporting the real news. We do. We know that things are often not as the appear, so we dig until we find the truth. This is why we’re adding thousands of new turtle riders every week and the MSM outlets are laying people off at record numbers.
