We’ve seen a lot of pathetic GoFundMe’s, but this one might take the cake….

So, let me get this straight. This guy’s girlfriend buys him 30 gifts for his 30th birthday, as seen in this video:

Nice girlfriend.

And to return the favor he needs a more, “innovative way to show my appreciation while incorporating friends and family.”

And he does this by begging people for money so he can buy his girlfriend an engagement ring.

Welcome to this episode of “millenials become adults.”

But seriously, what a con-artist. His girlfriend just shelled out a lot of cash, along with her time and effort, to come up with this elaborate birthday gift array for her grown ass man of a boyfriend. He wants to pay her back by getting her something nice, but instead of just paying for the ring like an adult, he begs other people for it, and thinks this somehow evens the score. Can’t make this stuff up.

Imagine your girlfriend found out that you bought her a engagement ring with money that you got from begging on the Internet? Not sure if she knows about it yet, but she seems thrilled:

Mrs. Turtleboy would’ve cut my nuts off and told me to go fuck off myself if she found out I started a GoFundMe for her engagement ring. Just check out what a scam this guy’s reasoning is:

I’ve decided to get some help by making this a trending approach. This will raise awareness about the difference between the love we share and the love people have for us. Money for the engagement is your chance to get involved. I’ve heard everything from “I Love Yall” to “You need to put a Ring On It” etc etc.

LOL. Gotta hand it to the guy. He knows how to guilt people into paying for the things he’s supposed to buy his girlfriend. “Hey, you guys told me to put a ring on it. Now’s your chance to get involved and put your money where your mouth is!!”

After watching Talladega College raise over 400k to attend the Presidental Inauguration I became a devout believer in this method of raising money for things and people you love. By donating $5 dollars or more we can get this campaign trending. I need alot of people to donate a little amount NOT necessarily a little bit of people to donate alot of money. This campaign needs to TREND!

The fact that he’s not the least bit ashamed about this, and actually WANTS it to trend on social media, is everything wrong with the snowflake generation. He has literally no idea that what he’s doing is embarrassing and shameful. He thinks becoming internet famous for this is actually a good thing. Sad.

I’ve decided to utilize GoFundMe to let everybody who loves us show us.

Luckily there is already a way for friends and family to “show who loves us.” It’s called a wedding gift. It’s also called “love.” It can be expressed through such things as hugs, quality time together, simple nothings, and deep soulful looks. Believe it or not, you can show people you love them without throwing money at their GoFundMe scams.

Sometimes we can’t quite afford expensive things by ourselves. A lot of people lean on credit card companies and banks (that overcharge them) so that they appear to do nice things for people they love by themselves. My approach is a little different. We have friends, family, and colleagues that don’t mind passing up a drink or a sandwich to help out. Anything helps. All proceeds will go to the purchase of a beautiful engagement ring one that WE ALL can be proud of. Call me crazy but Love is Free Not Engagement Rings and Weddings.

HAHAHHAHAHHAHA!! He’s actually selling this scam like he’s buying some sort of community ring. Something WE ALL can be proud of. Sure, some people use credit cards and fancy shmancy “banks” to buy things they need. But William Oliver’s approach is “a little different.” Ya see, using a credit card means YOU have to pay back the money. That’s gay. Why should YOU have to repay money for something you bought your wife, when you have all these friends who “don’t mind passing up a drink or a sandwich to help out”? I mean, what are friends for if you’re not willing to take advantage of their kindness?

Funny thing is, he actually seems like a decent dude from his Facebook page. He’s not your typical GoFundMe ratchet that we preview. He’s some sort of high school or college band director. Him and his fiance are well dressed:

15723529_10101654201339501_4877104179147886677_o

They run 5K’s

14915517_704045489745233_1086845601311148387_n

They go for romantic, Owen Wilson-inspired bike rides on the boardwalk:

And he has plenty of money to fly around the country

And go to the sold out SEC Championship game:

But he still needs you to chip in for his $15,000 engagement ring. Sounds legit.

I’m sure he’s not rich, but clearly he can make it happen on a middle class budget, just like the rest of us dudes who fell victim to the wedding-industrial complex. So my question is, why didn’t he start GoFundMe’s for that stuff? He easily could’ve just said, “sure, I could pay some scalper $1,000 to see the Florida-Bama game, but wouldn’t it be fun if you all paid for it instead? Ya know, to show me how much you love me.” Missed opportunity right there.

Anyway, the real miracle here is he actually raised over $500. Guess we know why he did it then. Wish I had a circle of friends who were such suckers that I could hit them up for cash the next time Mrs. Turtleboy gets a pedicure. Can’t wait till the wedding GoFundMe, followed by the honeymoon GoFundMe, and the “I need a good divorce attorney so I can get that GoFundMe ring back” GoFundMe.

We urge you to support the Turtleboy Sponsors by doing business with them. Without them none of this is possible. Click on any of them to check out their sites or Facebook pages.

He doesn’t deserve this woman. I hope she dumps his low class asshole.

Unreal. He is not a man, he’s a fucking boy! Truly disgusting to see a male have the nerve to beg for money for anything, let alone a gift for his woman. A true man earns his own money without the help from others. How excessive… 15k for an engagement ring? Have to be fucking kidding me. Middle class can’t even afford that type of ring, and here we have some dumb young boy begging for one.

    This world…………………….its fucked.

There are ZERO women on the planet Earth who rate a $15,000 wedding ring. ZERO! And if there’s a woman out there that thinks she rates such a ring… RUN AWAY, RUN! A wedding ring of any kind is just a fucking hunk of sparkly stuff of arbitrary value and ultimately means nothing in relation to the love, respect, and friendship two people have for one another.

I used to know this really ditsy girl who once made a Go Fund Me for
a NEW CAR for her and deadbeat boyfriend. Neither of them worked and both
had debts from constant court appearances/probation fees. They got
EVERYTHING for free. Insane people out there.

The Long Arm of the Law is not only well versed in laws, but morals and ethics too.

And I say that if you loved her as much as she appears to love you, you’d man up, get a second job if necessary, and save up for that ring she deserves.

I don’t know many men who can afford a ring worth $15k.

Rest assured, you will not get her that $15k ring by being a pussy.

Grow a pair, and go do what men do. Earn it.

What does she even see in him if he is begging for donations for wedding ring?

    April 5, 2017 at 5:37 pm

So with this Go Fund Me thing, someone could literally say “I Need Money” and then they can create a Go Fund Me page for some poor suckers to donate to.
