It might not be Friday but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate Food Stamp Friday a little early this week. This is Luis “Lou” Bermudez, originally from Webster but now living in Worcester:

And as you can see by his choice in headware, he’s likely up to something very, very ratchet.

If the name sounds familiar that’s because we wrote about him in 2015 when he was arrested for trying to hide an unregistered handgun in a book at the Worcester Public Library:

On Friday, August 14, 2015 at approximately 11:15 a.m. an off-duty Boston police officer was in the area of Main Street and Chatham Street when he noticed a male carrying a handgun in his waistband. The officer followed him to the Worcester Public Library and notified the Worcester Police Department about the suspicious male. A Worcester Police Sergeant and an officer arrived at the library and attempted to catch up to him. Inside the library, the officers lost sight of him for a moment and then quickly located him sitting at a computer. The male was identified as 24-year-old Luis Bermudez of Worcester. Through reviewing surveillance footage, officers discovered that the male placed the handgun on a bookshelf in one of the aisles. Officers recovered the handgun and it was collected by the Crime Scene Unit.

And as you can see from his mastery of the English language, he’s obviously spent a lot of time at the library over the years:

Not a smart move on his part. Any place where books can be found in large groups is gonna make someone like Lou Bermudez stand out like a sore thumb. All I’m saying is, if you see this face walk into the library:

You know he’s not there to pay the remaining balance on his overdue War and Peace fees.

Anyway, that was a mistake on his part. Especially since he was apparently on probation for assaulting and robbing a 56 year old man in 2013.

So he did a little stint in the Worcester House of Corrections, but he’s out now.

And as you can see he has clearly turned his life around:

Just beating up family members with a door. Perfectly normal.

Anyway, he must be in need of some lawyer fees because he’s started the ratchet GoFundMe of choice:

Of course he’s selling stamps. The only question is, what’s the exchange rate? Everyone knows that market hoodrat value is 50%. You wanna by $200 worth of food stamps it’s gonna cost you $100. Anything more than that is a ripoff. Anything less means a new batch of heroin is coming in that day and the seller is desperate for cash.

But no matter what you charge it’s still illegal. And generally ex-cons who are probably on probation and recently went to court for hitting a family member with a door should avoid selling food stamps on Facebook. Ya know, because it’s against the law and Facebook is kind of a popular site.

Sure, Luis could just get a job and obey the law, but that obviously wasn’t working out for him either. Which is why he was relegated to online pyramid schemes:

Clearly this was not the path for him so he decided to dedicate his life to beating and robbing people, sucking off the taxpayers tits, and then selling the taxpayer funded food stamps on Facebook. I’m sure his child support check is in the mail though. This is the kind of individual Jim McGovern insists that we take care of. An able-bodied male in his 20’s who hurts innocent people and uses his child as an EBT magnet.

Oh well, guess he really wants to buy those tickets to the next Britney concert.

It’s Ratchet, bitch.

P.S. We have decided to compile a database of everyone we’ve blogged about who has sold food stamps on Facebook. There’s too many to count at this point. We just wanna have it handy the next time someone tells us how rare EBT abuse is.

We urge you to support the Turtleboy Sponsors by doing business with them. Without them none of this is possible. Click on any of them to check out their sites or Facebook pages.

The secondary market for food stamps has outgrown Facebook and needs a more efficient trading platform. The only real question here is whether benefits should trade with commodities or if they would be part of the FOREX along with currencies. Perhaps in time voting contracts could be traded on the same exchange

I guess you have to know the right losers to be able to purchase some kko food stamps my tax dollars are contributing to! I would love to be able to get 200 bucks worth of food for 100, my daughter would be so happy to have so much food at once in the house without mom having to watch every penny, and saying we can get that during next week’s shopping trip!
