Tons of people have been sending us this story about a whiny kid from the Cape whose gypsy mom has been contacting every news outlet in the state to complain about her disobedient kid getting ticketed for repeatedly walking through someone’s yard on the way to the bust stop.
“She knows she’s been doing something she’s been asked not to do, and yet she continued to do it.”
That’s the only thing that matters. It’s their property. They have every right to tell other people not to walk on it. They don’t NEED a reason, but they have a pretty good one anyway:
“But Taylor said she did not want to take any chances with a child cutting through her yard after being the target of a lawsuit years ago. A girl who came onto the property uninvited to visit a pet dog tripped and broke her leg, Taylor said. “I was sued because she had fallen in my yard,” she said. Her concerns grew after she spotted Autumn climbing over debris from a fallen tree in her backyard, Taylor said.”
Yup, she doesn’t wanna get sued. Again. Seems like a pretty good reason to keep a kid out of your yard. Especially when her Mom is obviously a some sort of gypsy, and everyone knows that gypsies are always looking for a way to make a quick buck.
Grandma Turtleboy taught me not to judge a book by its cover, but I completely reject that now as an adult. The cover is the most important part of the book. And this lady’s face is covered in barbed wire. In case you haven’t picked up on it yet, she’s playing the “people are mean to us because we intentionally dress like circus freaks” card. That’s why her face is better protected than Shirley Max. She doesn’t choose to look like that because it’s comfortable. Literally everything in life is harder when you have three lip rings and pink hair. It’s harder to eat, speak, kiss, and apply for a loan. The only reason to do this to yourself is because you’re purposely trying to look ugly so you can victimize yourself. Because when you’re white the race card isn’t in play.
According to gypsy Mom it’s everyone’s fault but her and her daughter’s, including the school:
The police report also refers to Autumn getting a talking to by the school resource officer and principal, information which appalled Blanchard. “I’m her mother,” Krystal Blanchard said. “If I’d had a chance to speak to her it wouldn’t have got to this level. My daughter respects me and would listen to me.”
Hey, here’s an idea Mom – your daughter should’ve “respected” other people’s property. Especially when they told her a million times to stop doing what she was doing. Maybe you should be mad at her for not telling you what she was doing every day. Nah, nothing is ever her fault. Let’s blame the cops, the neighbors, and the school instead.
Naturally the school district is caving to the pressure and is moving the school bus closer to her house:
“I am beyond distressed by this situation,” said Krystal Blanchard, Autumn’s mother. “I can’t imagine why it had to go to this level. Someone should have spoken to me.” But no one involved Krystal Blanchard, who said she already had been lobbying school officials for a bus stop closer to the family’s rental home on Bells Neck Road.
Look, I drive through towns like Holden, Dudley, Grafton, Auburn, and many more, and I want to KILL MYSELF because the buses literally stop at every house. Not even kidding. I’ve seen buses stop at three consecutive homes on the same side of the street. Because God forbid any kid get any exercise. We’ve wanted to do a blog on it for so long, it would just be weird if se started posting videos of nine year olds getting on a bus. But kids in towns get door to door service. That doesn’t exist in Worcester. In Worcester there are three bus stops for a busload of 50 kids. Sometimes you have to walk half a mile to the bus stop, but you’ll survive.
And you know why they don’t do door to door service in Worcester? Because parents aren’t whiny little bitches who complain every time junior has a runny nose. And if they did complain their voices would be lost in a sea of bureaucracy. Not in towns though. In towns you get more bang for your buck, and that includes door to door bus service. Glad to see Harwich was one of the few towns that still has community bus stops. But those days are probably over now.
The kid’s commentary says it all:
“I wasn’t doing anything. I wasn’t doing anything to their lawn. I didn’t burn anything on their lawn. I didn’t start any gardens.”
But you were doing something Autumn. You were doing something the repeatedly asked you NOT to do. And you did it anyway because it benefited you. It made your trip to the bus stop shorter. She genuinely believes she was doing nothing wrong, because her Mom has taught her to be the victim and run to the press instead of being accountable for your actions.
Most importantly, what kind of mother puts her 11 year old kid up to public scrutiny like this? It’s bad enough this kid probably has trouble making friends in school because they’re new to town and her mother look like she got beat up by Captain Hook. But as parents it’s up to us to protect our children, not throw them in front of the cameras because we’re too lazy too parent.
