There was a 0.0% tragedy Jamie Eldridge was gonna let the suicide of career scumbag Aaron Hernandez go to waste:

Yes, that’s right. The disgraced State Senator now wants to waste taxpayer dollars to investigate whether or not Aaron Hernandez was murdered:
“It’s certainly possible — I have no idea whether it’s suicide or murder, I can only just say that there certainly have been other suicides in this prison, like every other prison,” said State Sen. Jamie Eldridge, a Democrat who serves on the Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Recovery and represents Shirley, the prison’s district. “I think we’ve reached a crisis. It needs to be addressed.”
Wrong. It’s not “certainly possible” that he could’ve been murdered. What a slap in the face to corrections officers at Shirley Max. If Hernandez was murdered, that would mean the CO’s were complicit. After all, they found him hung in his cell at 3 AM. The door was locked. If another prisoner killed him then it means a guard let him out after doing so. Either that or a guard killed him. To suggest that this was anything but suicide is basically spitting in the face of corrections officers at Shirley.
Oh, and the DA’s office has already ruled it a suicide. Because often people who are serving life sentences and have proven they have no problem taking a human life, don’t see anything wrong with taking their own life.
And of course Captain Planet is spreading rumors about “anecdotes” he’s heard about imaginary suicides at Shirley that never happened:
Eldridge said he’s heard “anecdotally” that the prison has four or five suicides a year.
Because that’s what a responsible elected official does.
Oh, and it’s also the fault of racism of course:
Eldridge previously filed a bill calling for more study of solitary confinement, saying it can be racially biased and lead to suicide attempts. Now, he said, he wants the judiciary and public safety committees to specifically look at Hernandez’ death.
Senator Moron also wrote a puff piece in the fake newspaper known as the Boston Globe, about how people like Aaron Hernandez should never be put in solitary confinement because it’s mean:
Eldridge said solitary confinement makes it difficult for prisoners to readjust to society. In a proposed bill, the senator reduced solitary confinement to 30 days and prohibited the prison practice for inmates with particular health risks – like blindness, deafness, pregnancy and mental illness – as well as inmates under the age of 18.
I’ve also heard theories all over the place that Hernandez killed himself because of some legal loophole that guarantees his family keeps his money if he dies in prison, because he’s appealing the Odin Lloyd conviction and therefore isn’t guilty. But even if a judge agreed with that, it would mean that Hernandez was TOLD TO KILL HIMSELF by a lawyer, because there’s no way he knew about this loophole on his own. He also left goodbye notes. People who get murdered don’t write goodbye notes.
Most importantly, it would mean that Aaron Hernandez has a conscience, and killing himself would be the first unselfish thing he’s done his whole life. But he didn’t do it for those reasons. He did it because he couldn’t do the time. He liked to play gangsta on the side but he didn’t like the consequences that came long with it.
The bottom line is Jamie Eldridge is a joke. He never misses an opportunity to attack law enforcement officers in order to further his insane, misguided agenda. And now he’s insisting on wasting taxpayer money to investigate what has already been ruled a clear suicide, just months after he voted to give himself a 40% pay raise. How anyone could ever vote for this idiot is beyond belief.
