So last week black lives matter released it’s official list of six “demands“ and it’s pretty hilarious.
LOL. “Demands.” Seriously, these morons really think that they have some sort of right to “demand” things. Right.
Obviously the most hilarious part is reparations. Because at the end of the day we always knew that’s what black lives matter was all about – getting free money from people ravaged with white guilt. It was brilliant in a way, because they’ve actually done a really good job of convincing millions of dumbass white people that the police are the biggest threat to the black community. White people are always falling for some bullshit, and a lot of the time they have disposable income to toss around. Reparations had to be a part of this.
Orange Julius Jones, the self appointed leader of black lives matter Worcester, recently shared this on his page:
Newsflash Julius – if you think Turtleboy is paying your nasty ass a dime then you are gonna be severely disappointed. I’d rather die. If you think I’m actually going to PAY YOU for blockading Kelley Square and whining on Facebook all day about oppression, then you don’t know Turtleboy very well.
It’s just mind boggling that anyone would take these jokers seriously. I’m happy they came out with this list because it’s a reminder that no normal person can look at them as a legitimate group. There isn’t a person with a functional brain who believes that reparations is a good idea. First of all, the concept that people whose ancestors did not live in the United States while slavery was legal, should have to fork over money for something their ancestors had nothing to do with, is utterly absurd.
Secondly, last I checked hundreds of thousands of white people died during the Civil War, which ultimately freed the slaves. So if your ancestor died fighting for the Union Army, do you still have to pay?
Thirdly, what on earth would reparations solve? Let’s suppose every African-American person in this country gets a check for $10,000. Then what? Equality? LOL. Right. This would just be a down payment, and the whining would continue as it would have zero net effect on anything.
Fourthly, we’re just gonna give Will Smith and Kobe Bryant a check for $10,000? Because…..slavery?
Fifthly, what if you’re half black? Do you only get half reparations?
Sixthly, what if you’re black, but you’ve immigrated since slavery?
Seventhly, what about Latinos and Native Americans? Or are they not oppressed enough?
I could go on and on about how dumb reparations is, but we all know that. The fact that this was included in their platform tells me that they had no intention of being taken seriously. Not that they ever did in the first place.
But the stuff about political power is pretty funny too. Check this out:
- Election protection, electoral expansion and the right to vote for all people including: full access, guarantees, and protections of the right to vote for all people through universal voter registration, automatic voter registration, pre-registration for 16-year-olds, same day voter registration, voting day holidays, enfranchisement of formerly and presently incarcerated people, local and state resident voting for undocumented people, and a ban on any disenfranchisement laws.
So just to review. People in jail and undocumented immigrants will now be able to vote. Oh yea, and 16 year olds. Basically anyone who will sympathize with their plea for reparations.
Economic justice is fun too:
- A progressive restructuring of tax codes at the local, state, and federal levels to ensure a radical and sustainable redistribution of wealth.
Redistribution of wealth? Yup, that sounds like a GREAT idea. More free money!!!
As part of ending the war on black people:
- An end to the use of past criminal history to determine eligibility for housing, education, licenses, voting, loans, employment, and other services and needs.
Yea, why should your past history of crime affect your ability to get a job or rent an apartment that someone else owns? There should be no consequences for criminal behavior.
- An end to the mass surveillance of Black communities, and the end to the use of technologies that criminalize and target our communities (including IMSI catchers, drones, body cameras, and predictive policing software).
Wait….so now we’re getting RID OF body cameras? Wasn’t that like….one of the big things? Are body cameras racist now? I can’t even keep track anymore.
- The demilitarization of law enforcement, including law enforcement in schools and on college campuses.
Yea, because there are never shootings or dangerous situations in colleges or schools.
Anyway, when you see this sign outside of Somerville City Hall:
Remember what Mayor Joe Curtatone is supporting – forced reparations from white people, redistribution of wealth, and end to policing on college campuses, no body cameras, reduced policing in high crime areas, career criminals living amongst law abiding citizens, and voting rights for undocumented immigrants and people in jail for murder.
