It Boggles My Mind That Republicans Aren’t Ashamed And Embarrassed Of Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney is the guy who couldn’t beat Obama, so why would any Republican give a shit about what he thinks of Donald Trump?

So Mitt Romney gave a big speech today in a last ditch attempt to try to stop democracy by whining about Donald Trump. If you missed it here it is in its entirety:

CNNMitt Romney delivered a sweeping broadside against Donald Trump on Thursday, laying into the Republican presidential front-runner with a sharper attack than any of the party’s 2016 contenders have made against the billionaire business mogul.

“Here’s what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,” Romney said. “His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He’s playing members of the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is a lousy hat.”

Romney said that “dishonesty is Donald Trump’s hallmark,” pointing to his “bullying, the greed, the showing off, the misogyny, the absurd third-grade theatrics.”

Alright, first of all, it boggles my mind that ANYONE gives a shit about Mitt Romney. Dude, Barrack Obama wiped the floor with you. Wasn’t even close. And this was two years after the Republicans took over the House of Representatives and two years before they took over the Senate. You literally had all the momentum in the world and an opportunity to fulfill every Republicans wet dream – repealing Obamacare. But you failed. Four years before that you got smoked by John McCain in the primary, and then he got smoked by Obama. How can you even show your face after that? That’s emasculating. Anyone who would even sit and listen to a word this guy has to say has to be considered a loser too. It’s like Rex Ryan lecturing Bill Belichick about how to coach.

It would be one thing if George W. Bush got up there and gave a speech like this. George Bush was at least elected 1.5 times. He’s a winner. Romney is a loser. No one wants to hear from a loser.

Then there was that awkward thing that happened four years ago when he graciously accepted Trump’s endorsement for President:

Mitt didn’t seem to think Trump was a phony and a joke back then. But the problem with Trump is that he doesn’t play by the rules. He gives zero fucks about anything. No matter what happens in this election it’s already gonna go down in the history books as the election that changed politics forever. This is why people like Romney are freaking out, and it’s just such a bad look. People like Mitt have worked their way into the establishment by playing by the rules and working their way up. Trump got to where he is right now by making fun of them.

Then there’s the part where Mitt whines about Trump’s use of “cussing” and “profanity,”

“Imagine your children or your grandchildren acting the way he does. Haven’t we seen what happens when those in powers fail to display honorable conduct.”

Tattoos Massachusetts

See that? That’s why Obama got elected twice. Because Republicans think that people still care about stuff like “honorable conduct.” We don’t. We like to laugh. We have a sense of humor. Our grandchildren aren’t electing a president, we are. Normal people curse, which is another reason that Trump is appealing to people. Mitt Romney comes across like a plastic doll. It’s like he’s not even a real person. Naturally then Mitt Romney would never curse or display honorable conduct, because that would require a personality.

Rep. presidential candidate Mitt Romney delivers remarks on the economy in Irwin, Penn. on July 17, 2012.

The best part is that democrats are freaking out about Trump. Hey democrats, I got news for you – you should be a lot more threatened and worried about Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio getting elected than you should Trump. Those two were the ones who PROUDLY participated in the government shutdown because they’re unwilling to compromise. Rubio’s commercials scare the shit out of me. You know, the ones where he says,

“It’s time for America to be the greatest country in the world……..AND ACT LIKE IT!!!”

He’s like, gritting his teeth when he says that. It’s like, whoa dude. Simma down. Ya know what that is code for? Spending more of your tax dollars on another aircraft carrier that we don’t need instead of investing that money into underfunded public schools. Ted Cruz talked about bombing ISIS relentlessly to see if “sand glows in the dark.” What you’re almost guaranteed to get with those guys is more division and endless war in the Middle East. And I’m sick of seeing my friends in the armed services coming back from those God forsaken countries all fucked up because of the shit they saw over there.

The liberals should WANT Trump. He’s by far the most moderate of the three real candidates. He used “good” in the same sentence as “Planned Parenthood” on more than one occasion. That’s literally never happened to a Republican candidate for President before.

And all that wall shit? None of that is real. You should know that by now. It’s just a lie he’s telling because he’s a businessman and he realizes that rednecks love them some good wall talk. A businessman makes money by selling products to people that the people want. It doesn’t matter if it’s a good product, they just have to want it and he has to provide it.

Trump doesn’t waste our time talking about non-issues like gay marriage. Instead he’s quietly done something that no politician has done since the 90’s – started talking about tariffs again. America has been getting ripped off by free trade via NAFTA ever since the Clinton administration. Every single candidate for President has supported NAFTA since then, republican and democrat. As a result we’ve lost hundreds of thousands of jobs that have gone to countries where labor costs are cheaper because there’s no minimum wage, no child labor laws, and certainly no safe workplace regulations. Because why wouldn’t you outsource your business to another country where costs are cheaper and then sell it to Americans without having to pay a tariff?

This is the part of Trump that appeals to Turtleboy. Not the bullshit with the wall or kicking out all the illegals.

Look the more people tell me how dangerous it is to vote for Trump, the more I kind of want to. The more losers like Mitt Romney tell me that only a sucker votes for Trump, the more I want to see what it feels like to be one of those suckers. Because the last thing I wanna do is listen to anything Mitt Romney has to say about anything.

At the end of the day, Mitt Romney, Charlie Baker, and every other Republican out there who has pledged to not support Trump, is gonna go into the voting booth in November and vote for him anyway. Because they don’t like Donald Trump, but they’ll come to terms with the fact that he’s the only thing standing in the way of four years of Hillary Clinton muumuus. Ultimately they are the ones who are frauds.

Agree with most, but I’d like to disagree that Democrats aren’t for these endless wars and campaigns. Both Bernie and Hillary have consistently voted for the military industrial and increased defense spending. Obama has not ended any wars, he initiated a troop surge in trashcanistan and we are going back to Iraq.

Only politician that was anti-war and meant it was Rand Paul.

If Willard Mitt Romney had been this aggressive against BHO, like he was in the first debate… he could have been president. Now, it’s just sad to watch him devolve into yet another party hack who jumps at the party’s orders. I used to think he was a decent guy, maybe too nice for the political game but now I’m just embarrassed for him. Shoulda stayed out of this one Mitt.

Trump’s belief are mainly progressive as in Hillary Clinton /Bernie Sanders. Guess that is good if you are a “progressive”. Three or four personal bankruptcies so he is a mess financially…numerous failed marriages. Who would vote for this guy as selectman ? If you love big government. Obamacare and taking Grandma’s house for corrupt hotel developers and schemers Trump is your guy.

I’m not doing cart wheels for any one of these candidates just yet. Everyone has flaws and issues. However, it is a more interesting process than past elections. The thing I like the most so far is the attempted abandonment of the PC crowd. I mean you can’t say shit anymore before some butthurt gets their feelings hurt and then calls you racist. That shit needs to stop.

If you can’t speak your mind unfiltered because you just might hurt someone’s delicate sensibilities then be labeled as a racist then that needs to change.

LOL …. I love the first sentence …. Mitt’s last ditch attempt to stop Democracy …. really ? He’s speaking his mind and beliefs. Isn’t that our right as Americans? I don’t believe he has the power to “Stop Democracy” as you say. That doesn’t even make sense. People can do just what your all doing —-> say Mitt is a loser and irrelevant. Fine.

Look, I get it …. you support Trump. Good for you. Your argument could also work both ways. You say Mitt is a loser because he lost the election to Barry. So he has no right to speak his opinion? Trump is a loser with respect to his multiple Bankruptcies …. So he has no right to speak either, … right? Actually by your logic ….. we all need to listen to Obama and accept his positions & direction —> cause he WON the elections.

By the way I haven’t heard the Mitt speech, nor do I care to listen to it ……. but I’m not going to bash anyone just because they firmly believe in something (regardless of the position).

Mitt thinks Trump is a fraud …… Trump thinks Mitt is a loser. LOL …. who cares. I’ll vote for who I believe is best.

Speaking of beliefs (If I’m entitled to mine) …. I believe Trump as the Repub candidate will hand the Presidency to Clinton. Now please grab a pen and mark my words.

“Speaking of beliefs (If I’m entitled to mine) …. I believe Trump as the Repub candidate will hand the Presidency to Clinton. Now please grab a pen and mark my words.”

Mark your words? Or the words of every mainstream media outlet? Get your own ideas!

And yes, it is the right of Mitt the Pit-stain to speak his mind and beliefs, but is also TB’s right to disagree. DERP!

“It’s like Rex Ryan lecturing Bill Belichick about how to coach.” Classic comparison and so very true. Trump just finished up his rebuttal and it was pretty solid. The debate tonight ought to be good.

Mitt the nitwit should have stayed out of this. He just reaffirmed to everybody why the two time Presidential candidate loser would have been worse than G. W. Bush.

What’s the matter BMAIJOHM can’t have an opinion on here? If it does not jive with yours then it’s wrong and we’re all assholes is that it? Fucking idiot. Keep it going however – it’s an amusing display of foolhardiness and ignorance at it’s best…

I’m ashamed of my vote for Romney in 2012. He’s just a politician like the rest of them. Trump is rough around the edges but he gets things done. The establishment is scared and should be. Romney just gave another example of how politicians are for themselves rather than the people.

Yeah in 2016 Mitt can pucker up and plant a a nice wet one on my big fat ass as this just more evidence that the Republicans are determined to torpedo their brand but ashamed? I don’t think so it was Romney vs Obama in 2012 and in that situation you had to vote for mittens.

  • Publius
    March 3, 2016 at 3:25 pm

Turns out Romney was spot on, 45% of those who file federal income tax returns pay no income tax. Not one red cent. What kind of a system is that ? The GOP should just take their medicine. Whether this is part of an elaborate scheme by Trump to get Clinton elected or not, take the medicine. Trump gets his 35-40% of vote in November Hillary takes 55-60-% and the GOP loses the Senate. The GOP can regroup and be back in another 8 years.

I’m no great Hillary fan, not by any stretch of the imagination. And Cruz and Rubio terrify the shit out of me. And, despite being atheist, I fail to see what the Church has to do with ANYTHING in this instance.

Bernie may be kind of crazy, but he’s still the horse I’m backing.
