Look who’s up to their old tricks:

Yup, Laughlin Kennel. Selling sick dogs again. Business as usual.

For those of you unfamiliar with Massachusetts most infamous puppy mill, you can catch up our exposes on them hereBut this is what they do. They ship in puppies from shady breeders in Missouri, jam them into cages that are often too small for them (causing stunted growth and deformities), have unlicensed employees give them vaccinations, keep hundreds at a time outside in the winter and thus keeping the neighbors up all night (the Fink family who owns Laughlin Kennel does not have to live there), sell these puppies to unsuspecting customers, and then not provide any sort of refund when the puppies get sick or die in the weeks thereafter. Many owners get attached to the dogs, only to find out that it’s going to cost them thousands upon thousands of dollars to keep their dogs alive.

This is what the dogs sound like all night as the Fink family (the owners) sit in their home in Sutton:

Their Yelp is fun:

Here’s some horrific videos of an unlicensed employee injecting dogs:

Here’s some images from their basement:

12351539_10156358245895370_692655956_o

As you can see the dogs are too big for the cages, and this is what their stunted grown looks like:

There are also numerous complaints on filed from neighbors and customers, as well as with the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources and the AG, about conditions there and the sick dogs purchased from Laughlin. For that reason Laughlin Kennel was ordered by the town of Oxford to cease and desist their operation. But since they have appealed it, they are allowed to keep doing business.

For what it’s worth, Yesenia Cirilo is a smoking hot Mom who may have saved Orlando from the terrorists.

She also had a boxer for ten years that died from cancer in February. Her two children, aged 3 and 5, wanted a new boxer. So she purchased Logan from Laughlin Kennel on June 2, 2017 for $1,200.

Yes, this was not a smart move. Laughlin Kennel is a well documented puppy mill who has sold countless sick puppies to unsuspecting customers. However, despite the fact that she lives in Worcester she somehow had never heard of Turtleboy before. I didn’t know that was possible, but she obviously didn’t read our stories on them. She is not to blame for what happened here, even though many are blaming her. She made a mistake, she didn’t research, and now she can tell her story so that others don’t do what she did.

Anyway, she bought Logan mostly to make her adorable children happy, and as you can see they took a liking to Logan rather quickly:

After two days with the dog they noticed Logan wasn’t eating anything. His nose was also cracked and peeling off in pieces. So she called Laughlin Kennel. And who answered the phone? This broad:

Jennifer Gardner. The former owner of the disgraced Elite Puppies in Webster, which closed after similar allegations to the ones plaguing Laughlin Kennel. Naturally when you shut down your puppy mill in Webster, you just start working at the puppy mill in neighboring Oxford.

But instead of assisting Yesenia, Jennifer Gardner told her that the contract says that if the customer notices anything wrong with the dog they have to bring the dog to THEIR vet, not another vet. But their vet was allegedly busy, and they told her that what was happening to Logan was perfectly normal. Yesenia has the call logs to confirm this. Here’s a small sample:

By the fourth day they noticed that Logan had a fever as well. They once again called up Laughlin Kennel and were once again told that their vet did not have time to see Logan and that what was happening was normal.

According to a former Laughlin Kennel employee who quit in April after seeing the deplorable conditions there, this was not surprising at all. According to her employees are not allowed to bring phones into the basement after the Turtleboy expose:

And Laughlin has a history of telling people customers to take their dogs to an independent vet, because in the contract it states that the dogs have to be seen by a Laughlin Kennel vet, so when they see an independent vet Laughlin is no longer responsible:

But the vet only comes once a week according to the former employee, and she soehow checks the health of 130 dogs in 3 hours:

The employee also claims that she’s seen dogs living in cages far too cramped with no access to food or water, and the dogs shit all over each other and festoon in their own glorious poop:

Shocking that so many of them end up getting sick. Can’t figure out why.

Anyway, after having the dog for a week on Friday, Yesenia noticed that Logan was running fevers and lethargic. She once again called Laughlin and they once again told her the vet was busy and couldn’t see Logan. They instructed her to take him to an independent vet if she was that worried, thus giving them an out when it comes to liability. So she did. And $300 later her vet sent her home with IV fluids for Logan. But by 5 PM he wouldn’t move at all and was breathing strangely, so they rushed him to Tufs for tests and X-Rays. This was his condition:

As you can see the poor dog can barely breathe. After that they called an at-home vet, who of course had to be paid another $400, saw the dog in that condition, and told Yesenia to immediately get Logan to Tufts. So she did on that Friday night. And once again she had to shell out $1,500 for x-rays, blood test catheters, more IV fluids, antibiotics, pain medication, and an overnight stay.

And what did they get for all this money? Bad news – Logan had a septic infection. They called Yesenia on Saturday morning and told her they could put him through surgery that would cost anywhere from $4,000-$6,000, but there would be a good chance that he wouldn’t make it due to how sick he was. So they brought up the prospect of euthanizing poor Logan. For a single, working class mother like Yesenia, she couldn’t afford to do this, especially since it would likely be wasted money and Logan would not live regardless. She made the agonizing choice to euthanize the dog her children had already come to love because at this point Logan was screaming in pain.

According to paperwork from Laughlin Kennel, these are the breeders that sent Logan to them from Iowa:

Melvin Nisley is listed as the breeder. He’s also listed as one of the Top 100 worst puppy mills in the United States by the Humane Society. You can read about his shadiness here, here, and here. The Nisley’s have been given an official warning by the USDA after several dogs were found in need of veterinary care, including this poor Chihuahua with one missing eye and one abnormally enlarged eye.

As you can the Nisley’s are pieces of shit who make money by forcing dogs to fuck each other so they can sell their offspring, store them in inhumane conditions, and then wipe their hands of it. Laughlin Kennel does business with these people because they sell the dogs for the cheapest, thus maximizing Laughlin’s profit margins.

Obviously Yesenia would like to be compensated for this. But of course Laughlin Kennel is refusing, even though the contract states that if the animal gets sick within the first 14 days they get a full refund. Jennifer Gardner, the disgraced former puppy mill proprietor, blamed it on the dog eating a crayon without any sort of evidence. In fairness, Yesenia did tell the vet at Tufts that the dog had eaten some crayon:

And their shitstain lawyer son is threatening to sue people who are sharing her story:

Here are the Fink’s, fighting the cease and desist order from the zoning board and harassing peaceful protesters:

But his was before Yesenia had any idea that Logan could not have developed sepsis that quickly. So the Fink family has been blasting this letter all over the place as if it proves something. Because that’s just how they do at Laughlin Kennel – they blame you. Except there’s just one problem with that – it takes 2 to 3 weeks for a sepsis infection to develop:

And Yesenia’s family only had the dog for a week. So if the dog did eat a crayon it would take at least 2-3 weeks to get a sepsis infection.

But yet according to documents signed by Laughlin’s own vet, Logan had a heart murmur on May 19:

And look what IS a cause of sepsis infections in dogs:

Yup, heart murmurs. It also comes from ecoli, which would make sense since the dogs at Laughlin Kennel are known to festoon in their own feces all day.

The bottom line is Laughlin Kennel sold this woman a sick dog. They refused to have their vet see the dog, forcing Yesenia to pay thousands of dollars in vet bills, and then blamed her for letting the dog die. All because they were too cheap to give her a refund. Meanwhile her poor kids are devastated, and Yesenia can’t afford to buy them a new dog at this time.

Here’s my question – Is there anything we can do for Yesenia? Money is an issue, and we generally like to avoid the GoFundMe route. Perhaps someone out there reading this could hook her family up with a boxer? I know it’s a long shot, and honestly I have no idea how this process works since I’ve never bought a dog. But if you have any suggestions please email us at turtleboysports@gmail.com or message us on Facebook.

P.S. There’s a protest outside of Laughlin Kennel on June 24 at 10 AM. It’s on Larned Rd in South Oxford. These protests bring together the many people who have purchased sick puppies from this disgraced puppy mill, that should not be operating.

I was heartbroken when I lost my soulmate dog. I wanted a maltese but couldn’t find one, I called Laughlin kennels because the advertised a malti-poo. The person who was working on that Saturday went into the basement to get her, I asked if the Mom and Dad were on premise and she said no, they don’t breed, they buy them from breeders. I was naive and looking to fill the void. Coco was adorable, full of energy and healthy. Fast forward three years, she has allergies that rival any five people she is allergic to dust, grass, pine, dandelions, ragweed and yes human dander (she is allergic to me) We started giving her allergy shots daily then weekly this lasted two years, we switched to apoquel that lasted another year, we have now switched to an injectable form of Apoquel to try and get her some relief. She is so pyscho at times, yes she has been to a trainer. I love her personality but but do refer to her as a money pit, she is most definitely a puppy mill dog, in anyone else’s home I am sure she would not have lasted. She has just turned 6, I hope to have her a lot longer but I am sure the steroids will shorten her life. It is so upsetting to think she came from a puppy mill . I didn’t have the knowledge about puppy mills like I have now, I will never shop for a companion animal again…adopt only. I am sorry for the people who have had really bad experiences with this so called kennel it is wrong to do this to the animals but even more wrong when you are faced with bills trying to get your pet healthy then still lose them in the end. You may never get them shut down, but I would take it through small claims court, if all the people with horrible outcomes did this you could take legal action and perhaps get some of the money back, at the very least you would bury them in paperwork answering all the claims. I guess my Coco was one of the lucky ones sort of.

Not surprised! Commented the first time I saw you guys cover it…what she did in the 3 days I worked there before quiting haunts me still…..makes me sick! I called everyone I could think of to report them but again they seem to stay in business! What is it gonna take to shut this place down?? How many otber dogs have to suffer? Its sad cuz you can tell right away by looking at the pups that there parents should not have been breed at all! I come from a breeder and dog show family……boxers can have a SLIGHT underbite….but not one so friggin big it sticks out a inch or a few! The dog has ANY mucus on its nose it not normal…as she like to tell people! And that vet she had at least the time i was there…for her to put a whole litter of chocolate labs down just because they were getting “to old” makes me wanna puke….and the fact that they stuffed them into trash bags before they even stopped breathing….makea me wanna do the same to her! Something bad…real bad is gonna happen before they finally shut this place down! Its sad

Now, I’m not saying that someone should break in, free the dogs, and burn the place to the ground, but…

Also, we need to find that vet and protest at her office. Get her license revoked.

Every one that has ever had a dog and knows the unconditional love they give need’s too show up on the 24th of June and protest this living Hell That is Laughlin kennels and spread the word in every manner possible That No one should ever purchase anything from the demons that own and run Laughlin, Facebook, Twitter, flyer’s on bulletin boards get the word out!!! If they don’t make money they will close end of story, that simple! I urge every one to adopt from a local shelter or rescue, for those who want a particular breed of dog there are breed specific rescues, yes most have a waiting list but better to wait a few months and do a good thing for your self as well as another living being! If every one did this puppy mills would be non existent!!

As a side note: our neighbors actually purchased said dog’s brother. Despite being shown nothing but love and care, this German Shepherd was easily the most loosely-wired, vicious dog I’ve encountered in my life. So if your dog from Laughlin does survive and is “healthy,” they will very likely be mentally unstable and dangerous.

Shouldn’t the usda have some sort of recourse if the breeder isn’t supposed to breed and ship across state lines. And crayons are non toxic so the dog would probably just be a little sick if it ate a whole box. I have 3 boxers , the oldest is 16 he , he just won’t give up cuz he’s a boxer. So that dog with all their heart , didn’t just get sick in a week. Period. I have a wonderful private breeder out here in the country and if u figure the best way to collect some money for her I would donate AND find her a boxer. I will be going to the protest if possible too. This is just sickening. I have read all the Laughlin stories and I just do not understand who’s blowing who so they can still be fucking doing this to people. TBS please share me email with her if she wants a good breeder I will help and I can show her what a decently bred boxer looks like. That poor puppy was not well bred at all his mother was probably sister. Just saying.

Bought a German Shepherd there years ago (I mean YEARS ago – early 2000s) before my family and I knew any better. The Shepherd had to be put to sleep within one week of coming home because she had such a severe deformity in her throat, she was unable to eat anything. Laughlin Kennels needs to be burned to the ground with those Satanic, piece of shit owners inside. Jennifer finances that fancy Mercedes of hers at the expense of abusing innocent animals. Pitiful.

Someone should be able to find her full name. That employee that said the name should send it or someone that bought there will have it on a health cert. she is just as guilty as them and more because she has a license and moral responsibility. Clearly she doesn’t deserve to practice.

When you buy a pet, you don’t hope it grows on You, You buy cause it’s a “love at first sight” deal. The Finks are frauds, worthless human beings and should be locked in there own cages…
