Two weeks ago 8-year old Victoria Rose Gaignard and 6-year old Leena Shea Ciolino died in a tragic house fire in Orange, MA. You would think that people would have enough decency not to profit off of this tragedy, but then again, some people are scumturds.
A local woman from Athol named Misti Iorio started a “fundraiser” in the aftermath, called “Victoria Rose Bows,” in honor of one of the girls. They are selling hair bows, and using the girl’s name in order to do so.
She claims that she would be donating money to a local dance studio, in some sort of scholarship fund set up in the girl’s honor.
This sounds noble enough, except for the fact that they’re not saying which dance studio is getting these proceeds:
So 50% of sales are going to go to a dance studio that has yet to be named. Sounds legit.
Then all of a sudden they announced on their Facebook page that it was no longer a fundraiser, it’s a business:
Do you realize how twisted and immoral this is? Two innocent little girls died in a fire, and the first thing this woman thinks is “how can I use their names to profit?” I have no words for people like this. It must suck to be so cold blooded and greedy. I understand this is America and everyone should be trying to make money. But if you’re relying on a tragedy like this to cash in….what the hell is wrong with you?
So they started to get some questions from the public:
I’m glad you are “honoring” poor little Victoria by selling cheap, overpriced hair bows to the general public because they assume the proceeds are going to a good cause. How noble of you.
People kept asking more questions like this:
And they soon found out that they were blocked from the Facebook page. I guess real questions like this aren’t allowed.
And lots of real businesses respond to clients with such mastery of the English language:
Yea, this business has nothing to do with the fire. Except of course for the fact that the business would not exist were it not for the tragic fire. Tell me more about this scholarship that you and her father are setting up though. Because multiple people have sent us this and they’ve told us that one of the girl’s grandparents had custody of her. So I guess we’re just curious what type of scholarships you’ve looked into. Oh wait, you haven’t done anything. You’re just saying that so people will keep sending you money for your cheap, Athol manufactured crap.
It’s OK though, because according to Misti, poor little Victoria would have wanted her to profit off of this tragedy:
People will know her name and her story as these bows travel across the world? You’re selling them in Orange, MA!!! Do a lot of people in Goddamn Orange make weekend trips to Paris?? And when was the last time a girl was wearing a bow and a stranger came up to them and said, “Can you please tell me the back story about the person who that bow was made in honor of?” Seriously, how stupid do these idiots think people are?
Don’t ask too many questions though, or this guy’s gonna kick your ass!!
Shit’s getting real!!! Stop asking questions about why this woman is profiting off of an unspeakable tragedy. If you don’t, then shit’s about to get REAL!!! Because what’s happening up until this point is fake. You don’t wanna see what it looks like when it’s real!!
From what people tell us, they’ve done very well for themselves recently because of this. They even think they are celebrities now:
I don’t know who Aaron Carter is, but he sounds like a turdlinger.
Anyway, there is an actual legit scholarship fund out there:
So we just wanted you to know the difference. Because if you’re feeling charitable and wanna give a good cause, we feel you on that one. But helping some illiterate yokels from Athol profit off a tragedy isn’t the same thing as giving money to a good cause. Just sayin.
