On Ferrier’s Facebook post, she writes that she said to the owner, “How do you think it’s okay to hang this thing here, front and center, given everything it stands for, and given the sudden rise of racist backlash incidents in the weeks since the election. Do you not get how folks might interpret it?” After a few more comments went back and forth, the owner eventually yelled at Ferrier to get out of her store, “but I was already leaving” she wrote.
The Facebook post, publicly broadcasting this dispute and a picture of the flour bag, has left Chic & Unique with their doors locked- possibly for good. The owner of the store wrote on her Facebook page, “This item has absolutely no connection with Nazi Germany or the crimes against humanity they perpetrated. It is an American antique, no more and no less.” She continued on, “The backlash of Katherine Ferrier’s vicious and unfounded accusations of me being a racist and anti-semetic have taken a devastating toll on my physical health and mental well being, rendering me unable to work and function as a shop owner and mother… The shop will be closed until further notice.”
“I gotta say, friends, I’m deeply shaken. And still in shock. And unsure of what to do or say, except I know I need to say something. Because saying nothing is not acceptable.”
Or you could just shut the fuck up and get on with your day. Oh, that’s right, you can’t do that. That would be “not acceptable.” Because people like this literally exist to make a federal case out of everything. It’s OK though because she is “deeply shaken” as a non-Jewish white woman from New Hampshire. This is all it takes to induce a little trauma in her sheltered white existence.
You know what the real irony here is? The only person acting like a Nazi is Katherine Ferrier:
She saw a historic relic she didn’t like in the store, and was too ignorant to understand that it was not in fact a Nazi swastika. As a matter of fact Americans once used it as a symbol of good luck:

That’s what makes it a cool historical relic. Because it represents good before Hitler and the Nazis corrupted it. It’s like having a confederate flag in an antique shop. It’s a piece of history and anyone who wants to make it disappear and pretend it didn’t exist is a REAL Nazi.
But since she was too dumb to understand this she just HAD TO change the world with her brilliant, white-washed New Hampshire perspective. She then left the store, only to CAME BACK to harass the store owner, blow up her spot on social media, turn it into a political thing. and destroy the innocent woman’s business.
Gotta love how she asks her Facebook friends what they think. “What are your thoughts? Am I overreacting?” You know why she asks that? Because she already knows what the answer is gonna be:

I recently had a frightening experience that led to an argument with the rudest store manager anyone could have the misfortune of coming across.
My life partner and I ventured out to ‘Bed Bath and Beyond’ to do a little pre Christmas shopping when I noticed hanging in the store were these white sheets. I stood in fear and anger. Should I just keep walking or should I do something I thought. I looked to my friend and I could tell we were thinking the same way.
I couldn’t let this blatant support of racism and the KKK go on so I started marching and chanting ‘SAY NO TO RACISM>>>NO MORE WHITE SHEETS!!!’.
This rude store manager asked me to stop or leave because I was disrupting the store and bothering customers. Well I threatened to sue and I told him “I hope no black people come to his store” and he looked at me and said “whatever you say mam but they are just sheets.”.
Ever since Trump was elected racism is popping up everywhere. Welcome to the new America, now I’m going to go cry for an hour.

Prior to WWII the swastika was a good luck symbol. My grandmother had it sewn into clothing. When Hitler and the Nazis adopted it for their perverse use, I was told that my grandmother literally ripped it off all the clothing she had sewn it into. The shop owner should lawyer up and sue this SJW into the poor house!
