A few people messaged us with the most insane PC story of all time out of the Oxford Public Schools Facebook page:

Why were the changing from this,

Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 1.53.37 PM

to a fat midget pirate with no leg, a five o’clock shadow, and a Colrain set of teeth? Well, according to whoever runs their Facebook page, they heard that the current mascot is offensive:

Wait…..what? I didn’t get it. Are pirates cultural appropriation because Somali pirates are all the rage now? Are mustaches more offensive than legless fat midgets? Did a bunch of pirates start a petition saying they didn’t want to be caricatured as mascots? Plus, this is Oxford. It’s blue collar central. It would make sense if this was happening in Lincoln or Somerville or any other elitist SJW enclave. Oxford is one of the last places you’d expect butthurt to go around looking for things to be offended by. People were pissed too:

Luckily the joke was on us:

OK that’s pretty good. Definite props to whoever came up with this one. It’s brilliant timing too, considering there is a push all across this state to change high school mascots because a small group of rabble rousers have chosen to be offended on behalf of other people. That’s what makes it even funnier. The fact that a public school district, which more often than not are controlled by unfunny politically correct losers, isn’t afraid to mock PC culture and have a laugh on April Fool’s Day. God bless you Oxford Public Schools Facebook page.

Maybe I should move to Oxford? They already got rid of my Auburn Dandy (way before PC).

    2. Oh yeah

I’m offended that you’re not offended. I think it’s time to change April 1st from April Fools Day to April Smarty Pants Day.

Calling someone a fool is triggering to leftys because they’re a bunch of fucking idiots.

The citizens of Oxford would have dragged the committee members down Main Street with Clydesdales had this been true. Definitely working class town, don’t put up with PC or SJW bullshit.

It IS funny, but there is no humor allowed in publuc education any longer, so someones in trouble.

If this happened in Somerville, it would set off a wave of actual asshurt that would consume the state like a plague.

That was good but it is far second to the Dunkin’ Donuts Vanilla Nut Taps ad. Just sayin’. Grab a pair before they’re gone. Hit the sweet spot.
