PC Toolbag Chancellor Is Flying The Black Lives Matter Flag At UMass Dartmouth Because State Funded Schools Can Endorse Anti-Cop Terrorist Groups Now

State schools like UMass-Dartmouth have no business flying a flag of a political group, especially one that kills police officers and blocks highways.

New Bedford GuideUMass Dartmouth has raised a Black Lives Matter flag on the main flagpoles on the campus grounds. And here’s the letter from Chancellor Randy Helm explaining why (followed by Turtleboy’s rational thoughts in bold):

Dear members of the UMass Dartmouth Community,

On November 18th I shared with the campus community a new “flag policy” that UMass Dartmouth adopted after extensive consultation and research, and vetting by the Cabinet. For those who wish to review the policy again, it can be found at: www.umassd.edu/media/umassdartmouth/universitypolicies/Flag_Policy_11-18-16.pdf

This policy provides a process by which requests to fly flags for specific causes and organizations can be reviewed and, if appropriate, approved. The first request received under this new policy was from the UMass Dartmouth Council on Diversity and Inclusion advocating for the Black Lives Matter flag. An advisory committee comprised of student, faculty, and staff representatives endorsed (though not unanimously) this request and I have approved it. The Black Lives Matter flag was raised this morning and will, in accordance with our policy, be flown through Friday, December 16th.

Some members of our campus or the broader community may wonder why we feel it is appropriate to fly this flag at this time. I realize that there have been controversies about the Black Lives Matter movement. I thought it might be helpful for me to share my thoughts on what this flag means – and what it does not mean – in the context of our University’s values.

In raising this flag we are taking the words on it literally.

So…..did they not believe that black lives mattered before this flag went up?

We are not endorsing the political agenda or platform of any off-campus group or organization.

That’s actually exactly what you’re doing, but OK.

It is a statement that emphasizes the extent to which racial prejudice and violence have disproportionately affected African Americans.

African-Americans are disproportionately subject to violence…..at the hands of other black people. And your solution to this is to raise a flag that represents a movement that falsely points the fingers at the cops instead of addressing the root problems in the community. Makes sense.

In the aftermath of the recent presidential election, our nation has seen a sharp increase in hate crimes and violence against people of color.

Wrong. Lie. Studies have shown that 99.9% of these “hate crimes” are hoaxes. Not one of them has been documented as fact. Just Internet hearsay that gullible morons buy into. At the very least the worst thing that has happened is people saying mean things on the Internet. No one in this country has been subject to violence as a result of Trump’s election. No one. This guy is such a tool.

It is understandable that these friends and colleagues feel especially vulnerable at this time, and it is especially important for us now, as a community, to signal our strong support for their lives and their dignity.

No. There is nothing understandable about an irrational fear about their lives not mattering because Trump is President. Only a moron would cater to people harboring such delusional fantasies.

Let me be clear. The flag does not mean that other lives do not matter, or that they matter less than Black lives.

Then where is the “Native American lives matter” flag? Because I’m pretty sure Native Americans are the most socioeconomically depressed race of people in this country. They’ve also gotten a pretty raw deal historically in this country. By putting that flag up and not putting a flag up for other groups of people the school is actively endorsing the lives of some students over the lives of others.

Nor do we endorse views that are anti-Police or anti-Semitic.

Yes you do. You put a black lives matter flag up. They’re an anti-police terrorist group. The guy who killed five cops in Dallas was part of the group that this flag represents. Every asshole blocking highways and keeping ambulances from getting to the hospital is represented by that flag. That’s what people see when they see that flag. This publicly funded state university just endorsed a terrorist group.

To the extent that any BLM organizations have embraced such positions, we do not agree with them.

But we’re still gonna fly your flag anyway.

In particular, I want to commend the service of our own Public Safety Officers and their colleagues throughout the region who have a very difficult and often thankless job, and who do an outstanding job of keeping us safe, often in challenging situations.

Thanks, but now we’re gonna spit in your face to appease a bunch of cry baby pussies who can’t get over the results of an election that happened over a month ago.

It is my sincere hope that this action will encourage civil and respectful dialogue at a time of deep divisions in our country. This symbolic gesture will not change anything unless we listen to each other and engage in thoughtful conversations with our colleagues, our family, friends, and others. Our Faculty Senate has approved a motion in support of a Teach-In Day related to race and violence, to take place early in the Spring semester. The event is being organized by the Diversity and Inclusion Council, in collaboration with faculty and staff. I look forward to engaging in this important conversation with other members of our community.

Translation – more state funded mandatory SJW brainwashing.

Finally, I wish all our colleagues and neighbors a restful and restorative holiday season, and a happy New Year.

Sincerely,

Randy Helm
Interim Chancellor

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – black lives matter to Turtleboy. They’ve always mattered. We don’t have a problem with this slogan, and we don’t counter it by saying all lives matter. That’s what the SJW’s want you to say so they can go on a whole diatribe about how white lives already matter and blah, blah, blah.

The perfect rebuttal to “black lives matter” is and always has been, “Yea, no shit sherlock. No one ever said they didn’t. So what do you want?” Because not a single person is going around and saying that black lives don’t matter. Therefore black lives matter is a meaningless and superfluous statement that is clearly designed to mask the group’s anti-cop and terroristic tendencies.

The reality is that black lives matter is nothing more than Occupy Wall Street leftovers with too much free time who hate the police. They don’t really want anything. They actually enjoy the idea of an entire race of people allegedly being oppressed because it gives them something to complain about and protest. Obviously they’re dumb, but yet colleges continue to give into them anyway.

Our problem with this is that black lives matter IS a political organization. They’re well funded by people like George Soros, they get national coverage from the media, and they were given speaking time at the democratic national convention. A state funded university like UMass-Dartmouth has no business endorsing a political organization. If they’re gonna fly this flag then they need to fly ANY political flag that a group of student wants to put up there. Fly the flag of the Commonwealth and the stars and stripes. That’s it.

I’ve written many letters to the University myself. I don’t understand why they aren’t proudly flying the NAMBLA flag?

When you have to write a letter that disassembles all the political motivations behind the flag, chances are that you KNOW you’re doing something that you shouldn’t be doing.

The look on his face let’s me know he drives a rape van somewhere in Brockton on the weekends. Plus, look at his scarf. No real man places a scarf around his neck with so much finesse.

Nah, I’m too busy making sure bad parents are held accountable for their non parenting. Especially parents who are willing to let their kid be diagnosed as special needs just so they can live the drug induced life off their own kids SSI check.

So sad. How do you sleep at night?

Definitely not here in Massachusetts, but if you travel down I95 I’m sure you will/would have found many on College campuses and State owned properties!

In two years people will look back and say, “remember the black lives matter stuff?”… and laugh.

Any other state would have rules about not allowing state funded schools to support causes like this or some such. But this is Massachusetts… I wonder if their are any people there with some cojones who will become “triggered” and ask for it to be taken down. If so, I’m sure we’ll see the liberal double standards in action.
