On Sunday morning Richard Sherman was a name that NFL talking heads knew pretty well. By Sunday night our wives and girlfriends knew who he was too. It’s amazing what one little Erin Andrews interview can do. By now Sherman is a household name. The abrasive and outspoken cornerback was well known to any one who religiously follows the NFL, but although he is arguably the best cover man in the NFL who plays for one of the best teams in the league, he remained hidden in the obscurity of the Pacific Northwest.
That all changed after he made the game winning pass deflection of a Colin Kaepernick pass intended for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. The rest his history:
