The other day we wrote this blog about a girl in Manchester, NH who started this GoFundMe to raise $250 for a parking ticket she got for parking in a handicapped spot.

Usually when someone gets publicly shamed like this they take the GoFundMe down. But thanks to some shitrag newspaper called the New Hampshire Union Leader, she’s actually raised $325. That’s because they wrote this article today, basically turning the girl into the sympathetic victim, and made those criticizing her look like Trump-style Internet bullies. And of course they blamed Turtleboy for pointing out that her parents have obviously instilled pretty shitty values if they’re allowing her to do this:

Facebook posters have used profanities and vulgarities in deriding Ashley Mathieu-LaFrance, 16, as stupid, lazy, spoiled and trash. One person suggested she create a porn video to raise money, another that she try amateur night at a gentleman’s club. A website has called her a “rich Manchester chick,” and said her parents have failed her.

Who would disagree with this? If your kid parked in a handicapped spot and got a $250 ticket, what kind of parent wouldn’t make their kid pay that? Even if she doesn’t have that kind of money, make her do chores or community service or something to earn it. Heaven forbid a parent instill values in their child. That would be mean. Better teach them how to Internet panhandle instead, and then whine when the Internet is mean to you.

“It’s crazy that people judge me. They don’t know who I am or my situation. They assume I’m spoiled,” said LaFrance, a junior who plays varsity basketball. She received the ticket for parking in a space she said she did not realize was designated as handicapped. In her GoFundMe photo, she is standing next to her Lexus, a fact that has drawn a lot of ire.  (“If she can afford to drive a Lexus, she can pay her own ticket!,” railed Wayne Smitty Smith, a former Boston EMT, according to his Facebook page.) Christine stresses it’s a 1999 Lexus with a banged-up hood and nearly 200,000 miles on the odometer.

Look, I don’t care what kind of car that is. If I could go back I would get rid of the word “rich” form that blog, because that’s what these idiots have focused on, instead of focusing on the only thing that matters – this girl stole a handicapped spot from someone who needed it and took no responsibility afterwards. Try being handicapped for one day and seeing if you still have sympathy for able bodied people park in handicapped spots.

Oh, and remember how we couldn’t figure out who “Coach Greg” was?

Screen Shot 2017-03-08 at 12.49.09 PM

Now we know:

Her Memorial basketball coach, who contributed $30 to the effort, said the GoFundMe page started as a way to collect money from her friends. “She’s a great kid. She works hard, she comes to practice, she does exactly what’s asked of her, even more,” said Greg Cotreau, who said he is dumbfounded by the online remarks.

16708727_10154567576144285_8744109057016295325_n

Hey coach, here’s an idea. Instead of just giving this kid $30 for parking in a handicapped spot, why not offer to pay for the entire ticket if she volunteers for a day with people who are physically disabled? That way she can actually learn something from this, and understand that this ticket isn’t just some YOLO thing that can be poo-poo’d away with a GoFundMe. Ya know, because you’re an adult who should be trying to teach her life lessons.

Memorial Principal Arthur Adamakos said he will let the school resource officer know of the potential cyberbullying to see if a crime has taken place. “We don’t want people involved in situations where they feel bullied,” he said.

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA!!! Watch out Brett Killoran, they’re coming for you!! Seriously, they’re wasting taxpayer resources to investigate whether or not cyberbullying happened on the Internet? First of all, we don’t condone cyberbullying. If you’re telling this girl to go kill herself then you’re an asshole, and you’re also not very witty.

Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 10.29.56 AM

Secondly, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that cyberbullying is not a crimeOf course the fact that this guy is a high school administrator and thinks that it is tells you everything you need to know about the kind of people who end up becoming high school administrators.

Thirdly, if he really wanted to do his job and actually TEACH this student something, he’d tell her that the GoFundMe was a really bad idea, and the best thing she could do in this situation is stay off the Internet. Instead of doing this:

It might be challenging for Manchester police to do much about the posts. One persistent troll hails from upstate New York, and has continued his attacks after Ashley’s supporters posted his criminal record. Others come from Texas, Seattle and Novgorod, Russia. Many are from Massachusetts. Ashley’s initial Facebook post drew 179 comments, as of Thursday afternoon. The tally does not include lengthy spats on reply strings, or the comments generated when 78 people shared her original post.

This is what the mainstream media does? Chronicles and documents where people are from who said mean things to a girl who shared on awful GoFundMe on Facebook?

So what does Mom think of all this?

Her mother, Christine LaFrance, said she’s amazed what adults will say to a child. Christine said she is a single mom on food stamps who earns about $25,000 a year working at a Londonderry shipping company. The family includes Ashley’s cousin, whom Christine adopted when her brother couldn’t care for the child. Although a lot of the family money goes toward the 5-year-old, Ashley never complains, Christine said. “She is a selfless child,” Christine said.

OF COURSE Mom is on food stamps. Why wouldn’t she be? I remember when I was in high school and my Mom was on food stamps and I had a car. Oh wait, that never happened. My parents worked and I still didn’t have a car. Only in America can you qualify for food stamps but you still have enough money to buy your kid a car. It’s OK, because she’s not a regular Mom. She’s a cool Mom.

Screen Shot 2017-03-10 at 3.29.47 PM

And Mom has been all over the Union Leader’s Facebook page, whining about strangers saying mean things on the Internet:

Screen Shot 2017-03-10 at 3.29.32 PM Screen Shot 2017-03-10 at 3.29.40 PM Screen Shot 2017-03-10 at 3.29.55 PM

Hey Mom – welcome to the Internet. You must be new here. We don’t condone cyberbullying, but that’s what happens when you brag about parking in a handicapped spot and ask other people to bail you out. Perhaps instead of whining about how mean irrelevant strangers are on Facebook, you could be telling your daughter to take down her shameful GoFundMe. Oh wait, that would be mean.

David Finkelhor, a professor of sociology at University of New Hampshire and director of the Crimes Against Children Research Center, said there’s no hard-and-fast rule on how people should handle online attacks. People may decide to delete posts and turn off their computer. Others might reply. “It’s important for adults to tell their kids if you put yourself out on a public forum, there is the possibility of a negative outcome,” Finkelhor said.

Wait…..they had to consult a professor at UNH to figure out that posting things on Facebook might have the “possibility of a negative outcome”? LOL. Mainstream media. So good at what they do.

Here’s the worst part – she got bailed out on the ticket by a Senator:

Screen Shot 2017-03-10 at 3.18.42 PM

*State Senator. Because there’s no bigger form of false advertising than a State Senator who calls themselves a Senator.

But seriously, how dumb is this chud?

28835_111462372229757_5695122_n

He just took what was written in this extremely one sided newspaper article and assumed it was fact:

Ashley, saw the article in the UL today and by the account, you made an honest mistake parking where you did. The paper and your friends have come to your support and all say you are an honest, hard working future success story in the making, so here is the balance to pay your ticket.

Newsflash – you don’t make an “honest mistake” parking in a handicapped spot. They’re clearly marked. She just didn’t think she’d get ticketed. But yea, her “friends have come to her support” so she must be telling the truth. Because friends never support friends in situations like this, even if they’re lying. Ever.

I just kind of assumed this guy was a democrat. I mean, let’s be honest. When you think of someone believing the mainstream media and feeling bad for someone who broke a really, really good law, you just kind of assume they’re a democrat. But as it turns out State Senator Andy Sanborn is a republican:

10497233_766590203383634_3515055895297891137_o

And everyone knows republicans claim to be all about personal responsibility and holding yourself accountable for making bad choices. Except for this girl, who he bailed out because he wanted to look like the white knight for some poor, teenager in his district. Although it’s not really surprising. After all, Andy Sanborn’s business went bankrupt in 2005, but yet somehow he had a couple hundred thousand dollars lying around to open a new bar in Concord:

Sanborn’s dubious business practices are no secret. According to a June 30, 2008 article from the Concord Monitor, Sanborn’s sports shop, Banagan’s, went bankrupt in 2005, owing almost $600,000 to various companies and dealers. When the bankruptcy case was settled 3 years later, the dealers expected to recover only 5.3% of what Sanborn owed them.  In 2006, however, Sanborn was somehow able to open The Draft bar in Concord and spend $100,000 just on televisions.

But wait, this guy gets better. He made this hilarious video about being a “constitutional conservative who truly believes in personal freedom and personal responsibility”:

Except for high school kids who park in handicapped spots. They don’t have to worry about “personal responsibility.”

But this same “pro-liberty” State Senator is also an adamant opponent of marijuana legalization. He once received an email from a constituent who was a student at UNH, urging him to vote to legalize weed. And in one of the most pathetic, fascist moves we’ve ever seen, he threatened to call the organization that gave this constituent a scholarship and tell them that the student smokes pot:

Upon receiving the e-mail, the senator, who touts his beliefs in “personal freedom” and “personal liberty” in campaign videos, appeared to have figured out that the sender was a college freshman and the recent recipient of a scholarship. Sanborn then lashed out, responding with a thinly veiled threat of what might happen were he to contact the organization that awarded the scholarship. Sanborn wrote: “I’m thinking if I call the [organization you received a scholarship from] and ask their opinion on legalization, they may have a different opinion (not to mention may be asking you for their scholarship money back…).”

What. A. Dick.

Andy-Sanborn

So yea, what lesson did this girl learn from all this? Well, if you park in a handicapped spot, you’re the victim. Because no one ever uses handicapped spots, and a $250 ticket is unfair. And instead of paying for the ticket yourself by getting a job, she learned that the most effective way to fix this problem is to beg strangers on the Internet. Because at the end of the day your mother, coach, State Senator, and local newspaper will all have your back.

Lesson learned.

The sad part as mentioned already both in the article and the comments is the fact that this 16 yr old learned she can skate away from things with little to no consequences.

I saw some of the comments and some for sure was over the top and flat out stupid. Telling her to whore herself out was bad. Telling her to kill herself was worse.

What I do find funny is even after spending some time reading her FB page and all of the comments once her goal of 250 was reached she immediately changed her privacy settings thus not allowing anyone to see the posts any further. Typical from a leech on society in my mind.

All in all parenting fail on every level. If my kid had done this I would have sat her down and made her not only remove the GFM thing but apologize for her utter stupidity. Then again my kids will grow up and be accountable for their choices.

The pretentious, attention seeking senator makes me sick. He made it all about himself. She learned nothing from this, except begging is correct.

I layed off her because she’s a kid. I do get why people wouldn’t lay off her, but if she was my kid I would be gunning for people who made comments. I don’t think my kid would ever ask for money to pay a parking ticket though either. If she was an adult I would have been all over her. Saving my breath for other douchebags. Either way I enjoyed reading the comments 🙂

you don’t get to claim moral high ground when you tore apart a teenager the other day, alleged sexual assault and patted people on the back who suggested she go into prostitution. Your failing website is a sewer, at least admit that rather than pretending you’re concerned for the character of this girl.

I see where andy sanborn is coming from. Be nice to this girl and she returns the favor by volunteering for him. Sooner or later Andy is showing her how his special features can orally please her as riding that massive nose and chin can bring her to orgasm. She’ll probably be horrified at first but he’s a politician so the power wipes away alot of that ugly of his. Pretty soon she’s knocked up with his kid. Don’t worry Sanborn, I see your angle!
