Senator Barbara Boxer, an old hag from California, wants to get rid of the national popular vote because she’s mad that her girl Hillary lost the election. She’s not the only one who wants to do away with it either. Millions of idiots who have no understanding of history or basic civics are sharing their misguided views all over the comments section on such reputable sights as the Daily Kos, The Atlantic, The Guardian, Slate, and of course the Huffington Post. And they’ve all signed Boxer’s meaningless petition to eliminate the EC.

So instead of getting into meaningless debates with these people where you have to waste time and energy typing things, just copy and paste this blog and you automatically win. If they actually read it (most of them won’t, but a few will actually learn something) then they’ll realize how dumb they’re being and they’ll finally admit they were wrong. With that said, here’s the top 14 reasons the electoral college is better than a national popular vote.

14. Only dumb people want to get rid of the EC.

screen-shot-2016-11-17-at-10-43-41-pm

What the fuck is this guy even talking about? Wanna know why we shouldn’t have a national popular vote? Because people like Dave Dunlap want a national popular vote. These are not smart people. Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and John Adams were smart people. We should not eliminate their brilliance and foresight because some asshats are throwing a hissy fit on Facebook.

13. Hillary Clinton did not win a majority of the popular vote.

screen-shot-2016-11-17-at-9-35-55-pm

No moron. Majority means a total greater than half. Hillary has about 48% of the popular vote right now. That means 52% of people who showed up to vote rejected her. The majority of Americans do NOT want Hillary Clinton to lead the country.

12. If Trump wanted to win he could’ve campaigned in larger states.

Picking up a million votes here or there is easy and insignificant. Trump could’ve won the popular vote, or at least made a run at it. But he didn’t because that’s not how we elect our President.

11. Swing states are better representative of the nation as a whole.

Pennsylvania and Ohio are microcosms of American. You’ve got big cities, suburbs outside of them, and vast rural areas. This is America. America is not one gigantic SJW paradise, as much as people around here seem to think it should be.

founders-electoral-college-meme

10. You don’t change the rules just because your team lost.

Only a whiny little bitch demands rule changes after they lost. Ya know, like Colts fans. This is the most embarrassing part about this. It’s just a bunch of losers whining because their candidate didn’t win.

9. When majorities can completely rule over a slightly smaller minority, bad things happen.

This is not American Idol. It’s a presidential election. If we required a national popular vote for the Civil Rights Act it would’ve failed. In Rwanda the Hutus made up a majority over the Tutsis and massacred 900,000 of them. America was not founded on mob rule, because mob rule is dangerous and stupid.

8. There is no statistical significance of winning a close popular vote in a country of 320 million people.

If Hillary won the popular vote by 5-6 percent, that would be significant. But winning by less than 1% is hardly some sort of mandate. Especially when she would’ve lost by millions without California.

7. California is the most poorly managed state in the country and shouldn’t be in charge of anything.

California is an abortion sandwich. According to every study ever conducted it is the worst run state in the countryThey have the most debt per capita and the highest cost of living. Hillary won by 2.6 million votes there. That tells you everything you need to know about the decision making skills of Californians. Without them Trump would’ve won this election by close to 2 million votes.

6. Representation for smaller states.

What do hipster assholes in Brooklyn know about the needs of coal miners in West Virginia? What do they know about the needs of corn farmers in Nebraska? Nothing. Every state has unique needs. Without the EC candidates would completely ignore these states, so why would they even bother staying in the Union? They’d be living in a country where the government doesn’t give a shit about them.

5. Dismissing the needs of middle America makes you an elitist asshole.

Have you people ever watched the Wizard of Oz? What do you think that movie is about? It’s about farmers like the scarecrow and industrial workers like the Tin-man, getting boned by eastern bankers (the wicked witch) from the Emerald City. Did you watch that movie and root against Dorothy? Can’t count how many times I’ve seen some mushhead on Occupy Democrats rail against the hicks from Iowa or Kansas. Because you’re SOOO much fucking smarter than them. They’re just a bunch of bible-thumping raccoon diddlers. Newsflash – these are the people who feed us. These are the people who fight our wars for us. You are not better than them because you have a degree in Gender Studies and read the Huffington Post.

4. Nothing that matters is cumulative – everything is a series of games/contests.

The Cleveland Indians outscored the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. But they didn’t win because the Cubs won the close games and the Indians won the blowouts. The Indians won Game one 6-0. This counts as much as the Cubs 3-2 win in Game 5. Each counts as a win, because you play to win each game.

3. Why do we have states?

screen-shot-2016-11-17-at-10-40-52-pm

God, people are dumb. Why don’t we just have 100 Senators from anywhere? Why don’t we just have 435 Representatives from random places? Why do we pay state taxes? Why do we have governors? Because the USA is a united group of states. The only reason they came together is because they were stronger against England as a group. We need each other but we all have different values and needs. Each state is a democracy. But the states themselves make up a larger republic.

2. We already have a popular vote.

I voted in the Massachusetts election for President. I voted for Trump. My guy lost because Hillary had more votes. This is how a popular vote works. It already exists.

1. Your vote matters more in the electoral college.

There were 130 million or so votes cast for President this year. If a national popular vote existed your vote would only make up 1/130,000,000th of the total vote. But in Massachusetts only 3 million people voted. Therefore my vote’s proportional value is significantly larger than it would be with a national popular vote. Even though I knew Trump would lose in Massachusetts, I still felt like my voice was kind of being heard. But I probably wouldn’t even bother showing up if my vote was just one of out 13o million. My vote would just be another drop in the bucket and the elections would be boring as shit.

I sort of understand how the electoral college works, but I do not think it makes sense, nor do I think my vote counts! I am not a whiny Republican. I am in Independent, and I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats over the years. To me, it just seems like the electoral votes stiffle the people’s votes. Maybe you could do an article really succintly explaining the electoral college because as far as I am concerned, the popular vote is the way to go. A friend told me that each state wouldn’t be equally represented if we went with a popular vote and candidates wouldn’t bother campaigning in states like Massachusetts or Rhode Island because of the population. Well, 11 electoral votes is nothing in the scheme of things. Nobody fought hard for Massachusetts or Rhode Island’s votes, so in my opinion, the electoral votes were also useless. Please…someone explain to me the reason and significance for the electoral college.

Does anyone know where democracy started? Why don’t we have a discussion about this subject?

Marine Larson – I watched a news story last night about President Obama taking one his final global trips and he stopped at the ruins in Greece. A place on my bucket list of places I want to see.

The story also connected to the history of Ancient Greek Democracy and in specific Athens pioneers experiment in direct democracy as compared to modern day elected representative democracy if I remember correctly. That piece caught me and stuck with me because I knew it didn’t start here in the U.S. but could not recall where oversees it started. Is this cheating?

Of course you prefer “The Greek Way”

The predeliction for sodomy among Greek males is a consequence of the naturally small size of the Greek Penis. In fact, the Hellene measures at the lower end of the scale for the already modest Caucasian Penis, right down alongside the Irish Penis, the German Penis & the Indo-Aryan Penis (esp. the Punjabi Penis). This makes it difficult for Greek men to satisfy their women, as the small Grecian Penis is unable to provide either the friction required for vaginal orgasm, or the deep penetration necessary for uterine orgasm. As a character in Li Yu’s work notes, “Vesperus explained that women differed from boys in preferring the large {penis} to the small.” ‘The Carnal Prayer Mat’ Li Yü. tr. Patrick Hanan. Univ Hawaii Press, 1996, p 121. In other words, the flexible vagina prefers being stretched by a large member, while the typically constricted anus can only accept a mid-sized member at best.

Hence Greek women typically deny vaginal sex to their own menfolk, restricting them to anal sex. Meanwhile Greek men, in order to escape female criticism about their diminutive phallic dimensions, often abandon themselves to homosexuality.

        BobnMic,
Thank you for your military service. Also, who was your Bando teacher? A lot of those Bando people used to come down to the Okinawan Karate Club on the corner of Main and Chandler St. I trained with a biker named Franky who did Bando.

By the way, I didn’t write the piece on “Greek penises”, etc. Someone else is using my name, because they don’t have enough brains to debate a question. All they can do is try to destroy a person’s reputation, just like looser Hillary tried to do to Trump. Of course, she never told the truth about her husband Bill, because all she wants is power.

Democracy started in Athens, after Sparta tried to take over Athens. Greek democracy was local, not national, just like our democracy is. Sparta was a military dictatorship, just like the Southern Democrats’ military dictatorship when LBJ voted against the anti-Lynch legislation. In fact, he voted against Civil Rights legislation for 20 years. Lynching black Republicans was a Democrat Party dictatorship which the Democratic Party created KKK assisted.

The history of the Democratic Party is disgusting, but no one learns about it because the Democrats want their history concealed from the people.

Marine Larson – Back in the day I took lessons at Clark University from Paul Kwan who also concentrated in Japanese Karate-do (Shotokan) and Chinese Kung Fu (Tai Chi Praying Mantis). There was also an American assistant instructor to Mr. Kwan who’s name escapes me currently but I swear to God he looked just like Chuck Norris and strong as an ox.

When he hit you in your pads during kicking drills he’d send you flying across the gym. Great stuff and that came in handy in the Army and endeavors subsequent. It’s been awhile but I remember everything I was taught. It’s like muscle memory or riding a bike. You never really forget.

P.S. I know that jackass using your name was not you. See – this is what is going in here now if you just so happen to have a life of achievement and success. 2 or 3 little spoiled nerdy weeners that never accomplished anything with their feeble lives will come right after you in the most cowardly fashion. It never used to this way up until last spring when a small brigade of SJW fools started up and knocked a lot real good commenters out of here.

That is the history in here. Tyranny attempting to take control. Not on my watch…

A slight? Really. You think the vile, immature ghetto trash deviant sexual insults to me and my family remarks is a fucking slight? I can’t even comment on a subject without you crawling up my ass right the fuck after you filthy fuck. That’s who’s brain I own – YOURS and it must suck to be you. BTW – What color is the sky in your world.

Oh that’s right, you can’t see the sky being cooped up in your mother’s basement all day and night because you possess no skills, no education, are unemployable and a drag on our economy. But keep it going EBT system fucker. You give us real people something to laugh about while we enjoy the fruits of our labor and all that it entails…

So you gave up contributing anything meaningful to this comment section (not that you really did anyway) but rather focus exclusively on me. And you think that is NOT obsessive and compulsive? Jesus.

Hey I’m flattered but nice try fuckhead. Saw right through that the moment you said you were to depart for awhile. You can’t leave here because this your life and I just fucked it all up for you deserving so. Let’s see what you got next you inferior foe along with those other two stooges.

But continue on as usual as I sink you deeper, deeper, deeper into the abyss. Then maybe Turd / Bob’s Gerbil and the other idiot will dive in there with you. How does that sound oky doky? BobnMic,

Thank you for reminding me. I saw an exhibition at Clark University by Master Kwan and his students, and it was truly amazing. In fact, it led me to study Chin-Na and Soft style White Crane Qi Gung with Master Yang when he was in Boston in the mid-80s. I also studied Shotokan with Sandan Tony Anessi in Framingham, but I never went for promotion, tho Tony encouraged me to go, because the Japanese people who followed Funakoshi changed the stances to represent the Samarai, so I just went back to study the style of the 36 Chinese families who brought these arts to Okinawa. By the way, their info, in the Bubishi, became the info studied by the royal family of Okinawa, known as Bugeikan Okinawa Te or as Motobu-Ryu Okinawa Ti.

By the way, I heard that Pence was lectured by an actor at the play, “Hamilton”. Too bad the Democrat who lectured Pence didn’t know that Hamilton was an anti-slavery Federalist, while Jefferson’s pro-slavery anti-Federalists, later known as Jefferson’s pro-slavery Democrats or as Jefferson’s pro-slavery Republicans (NOT Lincoln’s emancipationist Republicans). Obviously the lecturing actor doesn’t know the despicable history of the Democrats.

When James Madison was still a Federalist (he owned slaves so he became a Jeffersonian Democrat) he said that most of the states wanted to abolish slavery. Too bad Democrat Madison didn’t remain a Federalist, and free his slaves.

Marine Larson – Now I feel like a total idiot by not referring to Master Kwan as such. I used to call him either Master at the time or Sensei. Now years later I call him Paul? That is disrespectful and for that I do apologize to him or anybody else that have studied and trained in any form of Martial Arts. The signs of getting older and too loose are taking it’s toll. That is not who I am. I fucked up.

There should be an electoral college for the state of California. Seriously. It is so diverse in geography and population, that then needs of Orange County residents are completely different from needs in the Central Valley

  • Chris
    November 18, 2016 at 10:52 am

California allows illegals to vote so that’s why Hillary won the popular vote. Trump would have won the popular vote otherwise. Dividing the electoral votes by county is stupid because the states could add or abolish counties, which do not have the same amount of people in them.

  • Duke Westwood
    November 18, 2016 at 9:56 am

The same Amendment was introduced in 2004 by Rep Gene Green (D) of Texas, entitled the “Every Vote Counts” Amendment. It went nowhere. So, he reintroduce it again in 2009… Again, went nowhere. As will this one.

If the opposite had happened, and Trump won the popular vote but lost the Electoral, all of these people would be praising the Electoral College as the ‘savior of democracy’, etc. Complete hypocrites and it totally invalidates their argument. Would also add the Electoral College is laid out in the Constitution itself – just try explaining to one of these rocket scientists the process of trying to change it. They mostly can’t determine fake news from real on FB.

True, but if opposite happened, Turtleboy would be the one arguing for the elimination of the electoral college. The hypocrites are on both sides.

I actually doubt that. When the Brown Klown won the first election in 2008 and stole the second in 2012 by ballot box stuffing there really wasn’t much we could do except go along and watch him put the country in the position where it is right now. Trump was a foregone conclusion at that point, not sure he even knew it.

The Electoral College prevents the major liberal cities from imposing their will on the rest of our country. Sometimes a charismatic candidate like the Klown comes by and fools people but generally we are smarter than that. Trump may be a disappointment and he may be a pleasant surprise but he sure will bring needed change from the march toward globalism that would have enslaved all of us, liberal/independent/conservative. The cackling hag was the chosen tool for the implementation of Agenda 21. Now that’s in doubt.

        Thank your neighbors.

Boxer says “It’s Undemocratic”, Warren says “That’s not how a Democracy works”.

Newsflash. The United States is NOT a Democracy. Never have been, hopefully never will be. We are a Constitutional Republic.
Countries which are Democracies tend to implode and become Tyrannies. Countries with are Republics, tend to thrive and become strong, like the US.
