Yesterday we blogged about this woman who we thought was named Victoria Norris, because as you know, Facebook is VERY strict about using your real name. No fake names allowed!!!! She made this rather insensitive post about Trooper Thomas Clardy, who was killed last week after a Webster man plowed into his stationary vehicle on the Mass Pike in Charlton:
Since then the Facebook machine has eaten this up. I’d say that we feel bad for her after looking at what has happened to her Facebook page, but how can you feel bad for someone who made such a callous public statement about a man who just left behind six grieving children and a beautiful wife? I will say this, we certainly don’t condone some of the things people are saying to her on social media. Let’s not forget the big picture here – six kids lost their father. That’s the message that should be driven home to this woman if you’re gonna comment on her page. No one gives a shit about that time she was late four years ago to a birthday party. What she wrote was insensitive, cruel, and pretentious. But she doesn’t deserve to die, or some of the other more colorful things people would like to see happen to her that they’ve posted on her wall.
But we certainly don’t feel pity for anyone who would think to post such a selfish thing on the most second most trafficked website in the world. We would quote the only guy defending her and also joining in the public shaming of this deceased Trooper, but we’re boycotting this particular individual and refusing to write about him. Luckily some Turtle Riders are taking care of this individual so we don’t have to (You are doing God’s work Sara Roy, whoever you are). Just understand that you’d have to be a complete lowlife to defend what this woman said.
Anyway, as it turns out her real name is Victoria Stankiewicz. She’s from Hadley, which is fitting, because there is no town in Massachusetts that smells worse than Hadley. Take a trip there sometime. It’s traffic congested Route 9, surrounded by farm after farm, and the whole place reeks of dank cow shit. It’s unbearable. It’s also jammed in between Amherst and Northampton, which makes it the hippie super highway. This is apparently what the town of Hadley produces for free thinkers.
She also fancies herself an actress, and has her own IMDB page. She credits herself with being in three movies during her prestigious 17 year career:
I was wondering who the uncredited Hippy Chick was in Taking Woodstock. Now I know. It was the hippy chick from Hadley who doesn’t care that a cop died because he made her late for her own 30th birthday party one time when she was speeding. Turtleboy has never seen Cider House Rules, but we have heard of it. However, upon looking at the Cider House Rules Wikipedia page, there doesn’t seem to be a character named Debra.
Look, does this girl deserve to have her life ruined over some idiotic thing she said on Facebook one time? No. But then again, we don’t really know what this woman is all about. Is she like this all the time? Was this just karma biting her in the ass? If so, we don’t exactly feel bad for her. According to a lot of people on our Facebook page who have had encounters with her before, this was only a matter of time. If you write something intentionally incendiary like that, you have to expect that people are going to contact your employer on Facebook. We certainly didn’t tell anyone to do that, but people are going to do that in 2016. It’s just a fact of the Internet. Welcome to grown up world Victoria.
And I don’t wanna judge a book by its cover, but this haircut screams so many things:
“That’s not funny. It’s offensive.”
“Microaggressions are not OK.”
“I only shop at Whole Foods.”
“If Trump gets elected, I’m moving to Canada.”
“I find Lena Dunham to be an empowering, strong woman.”
“My kid isn’t getting nearly enough playing time from this jock coach.”
“This spinach wrap was pedestrian. I’m gonna go leave a bad review on Yelp.”
“I’m feeling the Bern, but I’ll probably end up campaigning for Hillary because white cis-men are the devil.”
Anyway, we would certainly encourage Victoria Stankiewicz to issue some sort of public apology on social media. Whatever you do Victoria, don’t just leave your publicly viewable Facebook page up there so that the outrage machine continues to humiliate you. You’ve clearly seen what has happened to your page, and your silence kind of tells us that you don’t give a shit. It’s almost like you’re welcoming it. Like you did this whole thing just to be a troll. And honestly, it could probably help you land a job out in hippie central Hampshire County, because even the City Council of Northampton hates the police there.
The bottom line is, it takes a really selfish person to write something like this. Since she apparently has no children, she wouldn’t understand what it feels like to come home to a face every day that loves you more than life itself and looks up to you. Never mind six faces. Turtleboy Jr. thinks I am the coolest person who has ever existed. In ten years he’ll know better. But for now, it’s my job to see him every day because that alone brings him joy. Trooper Clardy’s kids probably feel the same way, and his number one job was to make it home so his kids could see the coolest guy ever in their world.
So when a father like this is taken from his family for no reason, a selfish person’s first instinct would be to remember him for that time when he inconvenienced that person while they were breaking the law. Because they’re focusing on how this tragedy affected them. But anyone with an ounce of compassion or dignity would look at this situation and think about how it affects those six innocent children and his beautiful widow.
RIP Trooper Thomas Clardy.
