YahooA 31-year-old woman and a young boy were shot in the head Thursday, becoming Baltimore’s 37th and 38th homicide victims so far this month, the city’s deadliest in 15 years.

The most recent killings claimed the lives of Jennifer Jeffrey and her 7-year-old son, Kester Anthony Browne. They were identified by Jeffrey’s sister, Danielle Wilder.

“She was in the living room,” Wilder said. “The baby was upstairs, in the bed.”

Thursday’s deaths continue a grisly and dramatic uptick in homicides across Baltimore that has so far claimed the lives of 38 people. Meanwhile, arrests have plunged: Police are booking fewer than half the number of people they pulled off the streets last year.

Arrests were already declining before Freddie Gray died on April 19 of injuries he suffered in police custody, but they dropped sharply thereafter, as his death unleashed protests, riots, the criminal indictment of six officers and a full-on civil rights investigation by the U.S. Justice Department that has officers working under close scrutiny.

“I’m afraid to go outside,” said Antoinette Perrine, whose brother was shot down three weeks ago on a basketball court near her home in the Harlem Park neighborhood of West Baltimore. Ever since, she has barricaded her door and added metal slabs inside her windows to deflect gunfire.

“Before it was over-policing. Now there’s no police,” said Donnail “Dreads” Lee, 34, who lives in the Gilmor Homes, the public housing complex where Gray, 25, was chased down. “People feel as though they can do things and get away with it. I see people walking with guns almost every single day, because they know the police aren’t pulling them up like they used to.”

Police Commissioner Anthony Batts said his officers “are not holding back,” despite encountering dangerous hostility in the Western District.

“Our officers tell me that when officers pull up, they have 30 to 50 people surrounding them at any time,” Batts said.

Batts provided more details at a City Council meeting Wednesday night, saying officers now fear getting arrested for making mistakes.

“What is happening, there is a lot of levels of confusion in the police organization. There are people who have pain, there are people who are hurt, there are people who are frustrated, there are people who are angry,” Batts said. “There are people, and they’ve said this to me, ‘If I get out of my car and make a stop for a reasonable suspicion that leads to probable cause but I make a mistake on it, will I be arrested?’ They pull up to a scene and another officer has done something that they don’t know, it may be illegal, will they be arrested for it? Those are things they are asking.”

Look what ya did ya lousy hippies. This one’s on you. Seriously, our problem from the beginning has been the outsiders who have worked their way into Baltimore, lit it on fire, and then went back to their homes. All these idiots on Twitter and Facebook cheering on the mobs as they destroyed and looted businesses that the African-American community in Baltimore used more than everyone else, are the ones to blame here.

Look, I’m not saying what happened to Freddie Gray was right, or that these officers shouldn’t be charged. But I am saying that the sassy smokeshow of a Mayor and the even sassier District Attorney they have down in Baltimore basically fucked the police over as a whole. They pulled a de Blasio and basically told the cops that they have no faith in them whatsoever and that they would do the bidding of the mob.

P.S. – I can’t decide which of the two I’m more secretly in love with – the Mayor or the DA.

So much sass. So little time.

Anyway, the cop that drove the paddywaggon with Freddie Gray in it is being charged with murder. To me, that’s pretty fucked up. Should he be charged with something? Probably. But murder? Give me a break.

The problem is that the hippies are acting like the Baltimore Police should be calm, cool, and collected 24/7. I challenge anyone who thinks that to move to the Western District in Baltimore for a year and tell me if you don’t lose your marbles a little bit. I’d rather live in Sarajevo in 1995 than Baltimore in 2015.

And when you’re the guy in a uniform who has to enforce the laws in a city where there are an abudance of dooshnozzles who have no problem taking your life, I can’t say I blame them for not playing nice-nice with the scumbuckets they arrest.

Society can only lay so much blame on a police force that is clearly suffering from some sort of traumatic stress disorder. Wouldn’t you be a little fucked in the head if you had to constantly go into places where everyone’s got a gun and no one likes you? How’d you like to mix it up day in and day out with the likes of Snoop Pearson, Chris Partlow, Marlo Stanfield, and Kennard?

sheeeeeeeeeeeet

Newsflash hippies – this is what your vision of America looks like. Thirty eight murders. In one city. In one month. The cops aren’t there to kill innocent kids who were just about to turn their lives around and open up their own barber shop. They’re there to serve and protect the decent people of Baltimore who want to get to and from their jobs and schools every day in safety, but can’t afford to move to nicer neighborhoods.

And now these poor people are on their own essentially and it’s all your fault. You and every asshole who thinks they’re a bad ass by shoving their iPhone in a cops face and yelling, “police brutality.”

I suspect the most noteworthy thing about Donnail isn’t his intellect.

I looked up “deer in headlights” and the Baltimore mayor’s picture was there. Lights on, but nobody’s home for sure. ohhh, ohhh, ohhh, don’t ask any questions at a press conference, that’s just rude.

That whitehouse spokesman, pass more laws that keep guns from the hands of criminals. Because we all know how well criminals follow laws. Take away the guns and I guarantee the savages just chose other weapons to use on each other. You can’t make this crap up.

Nice job maybe that idiot Carlo will read this. Oh yeah he only loves to point out when some piece of shit has an encounter with the Police then cries about an epidemic.
This is real world and the problems that plague most Black communities in this Country. But instead of addressing the real issues in these Communities we have the Carlo’s of the world searching up and down for some incident like Michael Brown incident. These idiots drum up the so called epidemic and the dumbass media jump all over it. I wonder if the Black Lives Matter movement has any plans to go to Baltimore and March for the 38. The Coward Carlo won’t respond he never did when called out on his useless Blog. You won’t find the Racebaiter or hear and response on this or when he does someone else will be to blame.

Looks like the people in Baltimore are getting a hard lesson in the saying “be careful what you wish for.” They protest against the popo’s, shoot at them and hurl anything that isn’t bolted down, burn down the city and riot all in the name of “justice”, then have the gall to complain that the same cops are laying off the gas and not doing anything when the same thugs that populated the city before Freddie Gray’s death are still doing what they have been doing all along – being thugs.

There isn’t enough money on the planet to get me to take a job as a Baltimore cop. Especially now I can hardly blame them for using a lot of descretion and not enforce the law. Especially with a city attorney who would charge them if they made a mistake and grab another headline. I think what you have here is some self interest at work among the cops in wanting to go home at the end of their shift and not end up charged by an overzealous political prosecutor or dead at the hands of some thug in the neighborhood.

Yup – pass more ‘gun safety’ laws – that’ll keep the guns out of the hands of the savages.

Fucking idiots – everywhere. And they’re running the show.
