Every day the world becomes more and more wussified because we have allowed a bunch of whiny naniburgers to dictate policy. But the nonsense I saw on Boston.com today might take the cake. The Boston.com article is in italics followed by our rational thoughts in bold.

Dexter, age 9, visited Disneyland in Anaheim, California, with his family back in March. It wasn’t the first time he’d taken a trip to the the happiest place on earth, but this time around, Dexter saw the park from a new point of view.

First mistake – going to Disney and thinking you’re gonna have a good time. Second mistake – naming your goober kid Dexter.

The precocious grade-schooler noticed race and gender stereotypes in Disney’s rides and characters.

Oh dear God.

Dexter was particularly troubled by the racial biases he found to be present in the Jungle Cruise ride, according to Dexter’s dad, Jake Barton. Jungle Cruise was Dexter’s favorite ride the first time he went to Disneyland, at age 5, but after revisiting it, his perspective changed a little.

“He was really excited to go into Jungle Cruise, and he was quiet when he walked out,” Barton told BDCWire.

“I asked him, ‘Did you like it?'” Barton said, and he said, ‘I don’t know Dad, did you notice all the stereotypes it had?'”

Hopefully this kid didn’t go to It’s a Small World. He would’ve lost his fucking mind. Or how about Aladin? Doesn’t that stereotype Indians, genies, and poor people? And the Lion King? Are all warthogs incompetent sidekicks? And what about Magic Carpet rides? Those are clearly designed to stereotype Indian culture. Then there’s the fact that in every movie the princess is the one being saved by the gallant male protagonist. Sounds pretty misogynistic to me.

Dexter returned home to New York and regrouped with his classmate, Sybilla, who had just visited Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The two compared notes. Turns out, Sybilla had taken note of just as many problems in Orlando as Dexter had in Anaheim, and the two decided to do something about it.

dexter_disney

The compared notes? Why the fuck does not one, but two, nine year old kid have notes on their trips to Disneyland? Did they walk around the park with a notepad looking for microaggressions? I’ll tell you one thing, Dexter and Sybilla are gonna grow up to be terrible, terrible people. And it’s really too bad, because they didn’t sign up for this. Obviously these kids are being brainwashed by their idiot parents, because normal nine year old kids don’t discuss microagressions and stereotypes during play time with their friends.

Dexter and Sybilla wrote a letter to Disney, telling the company how the gender and race biases they found present in the parks can be harmful.

The two offered a handful of suggestions for how Disney could tweak their parks to make them just a little more magical.

No they didn’t. Their parents told them what to write and gave them ice cream in return. Normal kids don’t write letters to Disney about racial biases.

Here’s the full letter, originally posted toBrainPickings.org, with it typed out below:

Dear Disney,

Like most people we love your attractions, but we found some problems with some of them and those problems are stereotypes. Stereotypes are something that some people believe are true but sometimes may not be true. For example say somebody said “girls only like pink”, that’s a stereotype, some girls might like yellow and not pink. You can never really judge.

Oh my fucking God. This kid’s parents should be forced to dig holes for the rest of their lives. They are literally the biggest assholes on earth.

We are third graders from New York City at The Cathedral School. We learn about stereotypes, and the impact they have on people’s identities. For instance, in the jungle cruise, all the robotic people have dark skin and are throwing spears at you. We think this reinforces some negative associations, we think you should replace them with monkeys throwing rotten fruit.

Hey Dexter, take a trip through a remote area of the Amazon River and take some notes about the skin complexion of the people you encounter. Sure, Disney could put a bunch of light skinned Norwegians, but that wouldn’t make very much sense now would it?

ht_its_a_small_world_03193_sr_140320_mn_16x9_992

We noticed that on our trips to Disneyland and Disneyworld that all the cast members call people Prince, Princess, or Knight, judging by what the child “looks like” and assuming gender. We think some feelings could get hurt, say by accident you called someone a Prince who wasn’t a Prince or a Princess, or a Knight, or who was identifying differently than what they were called. We suggest you say “Hello, Your Royalty” instead.

With the Princess Makeovers, we think you are excluding other people who might want a makeover to be something else, including boys and transgender people. When we went to the Princess Castle, the characters only greeted the people they thought were visiting girls, not the visiting boys and again said “Hi Princess.”

We hope you know we had an awesome time at Disney and these are suggestions to make it more inclusive and magical for everyone. Please reply and let us know your thoughts.

Sincerely,

Sybilla and Dexter, The Cathedral School

Hold on. This kid is from New York, and he’s taken multiple trips to Disneyland and Disneyworld? You know how many times I went to Disney as a kid? Zero. Our vacations involved a crowded station wagon, a long drive to Hershey, and peanut butter and fluff sandwiches along the way. And I HATE fluff. Meanwhile this junior hippie in training is flying all around the country to expensive parks remarking on how offended he is by gender stereotypes.

Obviously his parents wrote this, because it goes far beyond anything a nine year old child could ever grasp. This is all a product of the Bruce Jenner bullshit. Now because of that we can’t call boys Prince Charming or girls Cinderella, because it might upset a seven year old with a penis who thinks he’s a princess.

screen-shot-2014-03-11-at-10-17-14-pm-1

The parents are literally training their child to demand that the world adapt to them instead of vice versa. “We suggest you say Your High Royalty insead…” Newsflash – no one gives a fuck what you suggest.

Barton said that Dexter has always been the type to pick up on subtelties like the ones he noticed at Disney.

“Dexter is very empathetic. He’s always been very understanding of people,” Barton said.

“He also has an amazing teacher, Elena Jaime, and she taught a segment on identity that did have a really big impact on Dexter and Sybilla,” Barton said.

Jaime’s lessons taught Dexter and Sybilla about gender and racial inclusiveness – concepts that not all grownups have a good grasp on.

Barton points out that while Dexter is an extraordinary kid, it’s not an extraordinary thing for someone his age to notice what he noticed at Disney.

“I think that growing up when Dexter was growing up mean that Dexter has a different understanding of what to expect out of the world,” Barton said.

Mentioning the recent SCOTUS ruling on same-sex marriage and the visibility of gender issues, Barton said that a child who is raised in the midst of this social climate would naturally have different expectations.

“When you have a sense for what the world is supposed to be like, that’s what you expect,” Barton said.

Barton describes the experience of Dexter’s return to Disney as “bittersweet.” He still loves Disney as much as he did four years ago–it’s just that, this time, he left with a few points of constructive criticism.

“As you get older, you see Disney as something more complicated, rather than just a magical experience,” Barton said.

And for Dexter and Sybilla, magic is the goal. The intent of their letter was to help Disney be a more enjoyable place for everyone who wants to visit.

“They just want it to be better,” Barton said. “It’s critique from someone who believes so much in Disney itself, and believes that Disney would want to [make these changes].”

This is borderline child abuse. Here we have two obviously mentally unbalanced parents who wrote a letter to Disney and pretended their kid and his friend with fucked up parents wrote it. Because no one would pay attention if two adults wrote it, but if a nine year old does, it will get headlines.

They purposely used their child as a pawn in their ultra radical butthurt agenda. They threw him on the front lines, with his name and age, in a story that has been read millions of times. Now he’ll be vilified and made fun of by people all over the country. Who does that to their kids and can still say they give a shit about them? It’s bad enough they dress their child like this:

dexter_disney

How much do you hate your child to do put him through this? Instead of writing this letter why doesn’t Mom write a letter to the nine year old kid in the Chinese sweatshop that made her Nike’s, thanking him for his craftsmanship?

Look, I wanna embrace liberalism, I really do. I’m down with unions, smoking marijuana, and keeping the government out of the bedroom. But this is the type of shit that goes too far. This is the type of shit that gives liberals a bad name. The same way that conservatives need to denounce morons who fly confederate flags and insist that Obama is a Kenyan-born Muslim, liberals need to start denouncing morons like the Barton parents. Because they are a fucking joke, and if you’re associated with them then so are you.

Dear Dexter: here is a life lesson for you. If you don’t like something about a business, don’t patronize that business. Problem solved. Share this with your school chums and grow up.

Good thing this kid didn’t grow up in Worcester in the 80’s. We used to CALL nerdy kids “Dexter”. This Kid would have been the victim of a shitload of “Micro-Aggressors” Sad part is the twits at the “Cathedral School” will welcome him home with open arms and fucking Kumbaya. Back in 1980 at Worcester Central Catholic School, he would’ve had to have his fruit of the Loom’s removed from his corn-hole with forceps.

What the actual fuck is that garbage? Liberalism has gone way too far. When I was growing up my parents always taught me that you had to earn your place in this world and that it would not be easy. Today’s parents teach their kids that if you whine enough then things will be handed to you. That you can force your beliefs on others. They are setting their children up for failure through adulthood. They have no one to blame but themselves.

The PC crowd and the micro-aggression crowd may be at odds over that little gem.

Obviously the parents did this. They clearly are desperately seeking attention. And they succeeded. But take solace in the fact that this will backfire on them …. as the majority of people they know, will deem them idiots (to their face or not). But then again, some people are so desperate for attention, they’ll welcome negative or controversial attention. They feel inadequate, irrelevant, and they’ll make their kids suffer the consequences.

He won’t be around at 40. Thanks to those parents he will die in a pool of blood on the subway because he will stick his nose in somebody’s business and it will be his parents fault. You had better reboot the kid ….. now.

The most disturbing part of this article was that Turtleboy didn’t like Fluff. What kind of child didn’t like a magical substance made of 50% sugar and 50% deliciousness.

I was always told to never hit a kid with glasses……. but my mother never said a word about hitting an adult with them. These parents should be forced to work the rides at Disney all week long as punishment. They are no better than road blockers. #disneycharacterslivesmatter

Have you ever seen an 87 year old with a giant ass bow on her head? No. Black people in an African themed ride BLASPHEMY!!! Mouse in heels with stupid bow, we’re cool. I hate the human race so much.
