This is Arlington High School Athletic Director Melissa Dlugolecki:

In January a drunken racy tweet from the school sanctioned Spy Ponders athletic account featuring her smiling, with a white sheet over her gerber servers was posted publicly. Lots of kids saw it and it has since been deleted, but it caused a shitstorm. Naturally she played the “I was hacked” card and administration backed her up:

Arlington High School is starting off the new year without an athletics Twitter account. In an email to parents, Principal Matthew Janger addressed a racy tweet sent from the @GoPonders account the morning of Jan. 1.

“As you may be aware, an inappropriate picture was posted to the Arlington High School appearing to be a picture of [Melissa] Dlugolecki, our Athletic Director. To be clear, Ms. Dlugolecki did not post this picture and it is not a real picture of her. This is an awful and unacceptable attack on a school staff member and a member of our community,” Janger said in the email.

Anyone who did suggest it was her was chastised in the community. If you had something negative to say about her, it was likely because you were anti-woman. The superintendent threatened any student with criminal charges if they disseminated the photograph. A threat that is so laughably unenforceable that it could only come from someone who lacks an elementary understanding of how the Internet works. Plus, the principal had already set the tone by calling an “awful and unacceptable attack” to suggest that an image of this woman, tweeted from an account that she controls, was sent by her. He reached this conclusion less than 24 hours after the tweet was sent.

Case closed.

Here’s the problem for Melissa though – they took her REAL seriously, and involved the police:

Dlugolecki told AHS Principal Matthew Janger and Superintentent Kathleen Bodie the account was hacked and they reported the incident to the police, who conducted an investigation. The Advocate has obtained a copy of the police report associated with the investigation, which closed on May 22, 2018. On Jan. 2, Sgt. Bryan Gallagher and Capt. Richard Flynn met with Dlugolecki. Dlugolecki claimed the account, which she had direct control over, was hacked. Gallagher noted Dlugolecki appeared “upset” and “still appeared confused as to how the situation unfolded.” She said she took the photo and had since erased it from her phone, but she did not post the photo, either on purpose or in error, and was not sure who may have posted it. Dlugolecki added that in recent years, approximately a dozen people had access to the account.

Why would anyone but the AD have access to the AD’s Twitter account? If you let multiple people access that account, it wasn’t hacked. You gave the password out. Of course that didn’t happen either. Seriously people, are we still doing this whole, “I was hacked” thing? Hacking doesn’t happen to regular people in real life. You’re not Edward Snowden. You’re the AD of a random high school in Massachusetts. No one with a brain has EVER bought the “I was hacked” routine, so we should probably just lay it to rest once and for all.

But her lies had just begun….

Police spoke with Dlugolecki again a week later. She told Gallagher she had received a phone call from someone she refused to identify, warning her about working with APD and added she had also spoken to three lawyers, who also advised her she should be wary about speaking with APD. Dlugolecki did tell police she observed data usage on her cell phone bill at 5:47 a.m. on Jan. 1 but was uncomfortable giving police her phone to analyze to determine what the data usage was.

Oh good, she told the cops she’s afraid of them and that they can’t be trusted. Per orders of her three imaginary lawyers and the mystery person who called her of course. And somehow she kept her job.

Then she admitted to “accidentally” sending the tweet…

Police noted Dlugolecki appeared “anxious” and said “maybe I rolled over on the phone and sent it accidentally?”

Then she lied about drinking that night….

During the first interview Dlugolecki told police only she and her boyfriend were at her house on Jan. 1, but during her Jan. 9 interview, she said that she was at two different parties that night and there were several people at her house when the post was sent.

Then she told them she’d give them her cell phone records, but at the last minute was like, “my lawyer told me not to”:

Dlugolecki and Gallagher met again later that week after she told him she would turn in her cell phone records. When they met, Dlugolecki told Gallagher that she was “going to follow the advice of her attorney, and refused to provide access to her school issued phone,” according to the report.

Newsflash genius – the phone doesn’t belong to you. It belongs to the taxpayers. The fact that you can’t differentiate between personal and business property is astounding.

Then she tried this….

The cell phone bill Dlugolecki handed in was one sheet of paper with three entries. This was clearly not a printed version of her Verizon bill, and it was clearly cut down and edited,” Gallagher noted in the report.

I mean, why was she even trying at this point? Just admit that you fucked up. It’s really not that big of a deal. It’s not like it was noodz. You took an image you probably meant to send to your boyfriend and hit the wrong button on the wrong phone. Shit happens. She could’ve just said this on January 1 and kept her job. But instead she went through with this whole charade for five months!!

But wait, it gets better…..

Gallagher spoke with Bodie the next week about Dlugolecki’s lack of cooperation with the investigation and refusal to turn over the school-issued cell phone. Bodie said she would get the phone from Dlugolecki and turn it over to police and a few days later Gallagher had the cell phone. An analysis of the phone showed there was a factory reset on Jan. 8. Gallagher indicated any useful data that was stored in the phone before Jan. 8 was wiped clean. In addition, police say they found an internet search for “can you view Twitter activity on phone bill” in the remaining data on the phone.

Oh for fuck’s sake. Does this woman not own a computer or a personal cell phone? You actually Googled, “can you view Twitter activity on phone bill” on the very same phone you’re trying to erase all records from, while you knew they were investigating you!! Amazing.

They even went so far as to subpoena Twitter….

Following a subpoena of Twitter for IP addresses, police filed two search warrants to gain information on the athletics Twitter account from Dec. 30, 2017 to Jan. 2, 2018. Twitter initially told police they were unable to locate the account, but later provided information dating from January 2014 to October 2017, outside the scope of the investigation. Twitter stated, through an attorney, that there was a photo posted to the account from an iPhone around 5 a.m. Jan. 1. The information from the subpoena did not contain what was posted during the sessions or how long the session lasted. Police filed an additional subpoena to find out who the IP addresses belonged to. According to the report, IP address information began arriving the week of Feb. 19. Police determined that there were “no signs of any tampering or unauthorized access” to the athletics account.

Oops!!

Well, now that she’s caught red handed and been put on leave the principal and superintendent are pretending to be shocked:

School Superintendent Kathleen Bodie said in a statement May 28 “… that the preponderance of evidence suggests the image that had been distributed on the Twitter account was in Ms. Dlugolecki’s possession.

“I am sincerely disappointed that a trusted member of our administration would mislead me, other administrators, our school community, and the Arlington Police, and I regret that her representations resulted in speculation about blame and the unnecessary investment in time and resources by the Arlington Police Department to investigate these misrepresentations.”

Principal Janger’s statement:

As you can imagine, this is personally upsetting as I make every effort to be accurate and responsive in my communications with the school community. I am extremely disappointed that we were misled, and it has been frustrating to be unable to communicate more ….

Oh please. You don’t get to blame this all on her. You blindly chose to believe her because you wanted to believe her. Even when there was irrefutable proof that the account she controlled sent out semi-noodz. She fed you the “I was hacked” line and you ate that shit up and made yourself look like a gullible idiot in the process. Even worse, you suggested that anyone who didn’t believe this obvious lie was “attacking” her.

Oh, and she’s still continuing the charade too….

In a phone interview May 29, Dlugolecki said her attorney, whom she declined to name, had advised her not to comment about the matter at this time. “There is more that I would like to share when I am able to,” she said.  Dlugolecki has been placed on leave for what she said is an unrelated matter.

Just give it up Melissa. It’s not happening girl.

Look, I feel bad for this woman. She’s obviously not right in the head and is a pathological liar who kept digging herself a hole she couldn’t get out of. If she had been honest from day one I would argue she should keep her job. But she lied, and wasted valuable police resources investigating her nonsense.

At the same time, the principal and superintendent are even more to blame because they’re the ones who initiated a police investigation into something they should’ve realized was a lie from the get-go.

The good news for her is that she seems to run a yoga business, and can probably land on her feet just fine as a personal trainer or something like that.

There’s a lot of NIMBY wypipo women in the Arlington area with plenty of disposable income to spend on her business. Just please Melissa, move on with your life. It’s painful to watch you continue to fight this.

The obvious lesson here is one that anyone with a brain already knows – don’t bring your work phone out with you when you’re drinking. Just don’t. Nothing good can come of that. This is what adults in the school teach children, but apparently don’t practice themselves.

An age old story. Instead of copping to a mistake that would have been soon forgotten, she told a lie that snowballed into her doom. Haven’t any of these people ever watched a sitcom? That’s the main premise of most of them. Dumbass.

When I cheat on my taxes I’m calling the IRS to tell them I was hacked by a CPA.

I can’t believe he went with the option of sticking by her story straight away rather than staying neutral until it was investigated. He must feel like a prize twonk.
    .. and rightly so.

As for her, dug a hole so deep and proceeded to bury herself in shit.

She probably meant to send it to a student.
    Just my first thought here.

Usually the basket cases who bang students are a lot better looking.

The fact that anyone even finds out about that kind of stuff proves how lame kids are nowadays. If I was banging my 10th grade science teacher, I’d never miss a day of school. One of my friends was doing an English teacher and we shut up about it. He liked high school a lot.

Not all, I’m sure, but the ones who get caught are smoking.
I totally agree about keeping thier mouths shut. I would never have told my friends.
Unless they were really hot, then I might feel the need to brag.

She’s got a face like a 1930’s prize fighter, so she might be making up with it by having one fucking hell of a body, but you can’t tell with these pictures. “Noodz” please, stat.

She lettered and captained her HS field hockey team, besides playing other sports. I can totally imagine her nose got broken a couple times, so not her fault.
