As Usual, Worcester’s Roads Looked Like Complete Garbage Compared To Normal Towns That Function Properly

If you think Ed Augustus learned anything from last year’s abortion sandwich of a plowing job every time it snowed, you’d be wrong. Here’s a video of what 290 and 146 look like in the Woo:

The guy filming that is so Worcester it hurts. But the things he’s expressing are the same frustrations shared by thousands of people who pay taxes and seem to get no services in return. Granted when it snows, it’s gonna be slippery and you have to be careful. But the problem is in Worcester they don’t put salt or sand down. This is from a turtle rider in Holden:

You can kind of see it on the left hand side of the road, but it’s covered in blue shit. Pretty sure that’s salt. It helps make sure your car doesn’t slide into the woods when you’re driving 15 mph. Drive into any town and you see these magical trucks doing this to every street, particularly the main arteries.

Then there’s Worcester:

Once again, Heard Street is a nightmare in the snow, and it’s a big ass hill. But when you don’t do anything to the roads and just kind of let nature take its course, this is what happens. That’s a Honda CRV. It’s got four wheel drive. You should be able to slowly drive down Heard Street without hitting a guardrail, but it’s a lot harder when the roads weren’t treated.

FYI, this is what they did previous to the storm:

I believe the city refers to this as a “bribe solution.”

screen-shot-2016-12-29-at-10-35-22-am

Obviously they didn’t bribe them enough. I mean look at this shit. Here’s Lincoln Plaza:

Anarchy.

Country Club Boulevard:

St. Nicholas Ave:

This is Burncoat Street TODAY:

Burncoat Street isn’t some side street. It’s a heavily trafficked road with five schools and a community college within a mile of each other. And it’s pretty much been untouched.

It doesn’t have to look like this either. Here’s the border between Paxton and Worcester:

screen-shot-2017-01-08-at-4-17-18-pm

Can’t make this stuff up. I mean, what did we get? Four inches? (that’s what she said)

Imagine what would happen if we got hit as hard as Pembroke or the rest of the South Shore:

Nightmare.

Of course nothing will change because City Manager Ed Augustus just got a brand new contract and a gigantic raise after being given a perfect rating by 9 of 11 City Councilors. This was after he hired his friend from Sturbridge, Paul Moosey, to head the DPW. Even after his many repeated failures, he still collects a six figure salary and has unlimited job protection. Because that’s how things work in a corrupt city run by a powerful political machine headed by a SJW congressman who Joe Biden told to shut the fuck up and stop blaming Russia for everything the other day. Maybe the Russians made our roads look like shit. It’s really not that far fetched for any of these idiots to say at this point. That’s why in November we’re coming for them. Kate Toomey, Moe Bergman, and Khrystian King in particular should enjoy their final months at City Hall. Because we’re adding them to the Turtleboy graveyard at the end of 2017.

We urge you to support the Turtleboy Sponsors by doing business with them. Without them none of this is possible. Click on any of them to check out their sites or Facebook pages.

Grove St was an utter disaster on Sunday night. Complete shit show 18 hours after the snow stopped.

Plowing would be so so much easy if nitwits didn’t feel the need to drive around. The towns have is easy easy. First the main roads the state takes care of, second the couple of minor roads are easy to plow when you get 3inches of snow like Paxton and few people feel the need to drive and buy their milk and scratch tickets.

The Pike was not even plowed Saturday at one point, 495 was a mess. This is what happens during a storm. Plows plow and then more snow comes.

Came home at 1:30 am Saturday night and Marshall Street in Paxton was pretty much just wet. This isn’t really a main road in Paxton either. Worcester is a joke. Rt 9 at the Leicester line was wet at approximately the same time. Worcester was still trashed. Pretty sad.

Right, 290 is plowed by the state. But the state plays many hidden games and mistakes too. Usually not that bad as a rule, since the state cops will report it in a instant.

Ummm, 290 and 146 are maintained by the state, 100%. 0% by Worcester.

Worcester has pletny to criticize, but those 2 roads in the video aren’t it.

    • I'm not stupid! Lol

I was coming to make this exact comment. Come on TurtleBoy. I get that Worcester does a HORRIBLE job plowing their streets, you had more than enough ammo without blaming the city for state roads.

On a side note,I drove 290 tonight from Burncoat st to Hope Ave and noticed that a good 90% of the street lights on the highway were out? Wtf? Couldn’t believe how dark it was driving through New England’s 2nd largest city was. How will people find their way to the new city square area or that new $3,000,000 bike path?

Well, maybe if dick heads like you weren’t driving around to make videos on your way to Family Dollar, Price Rite or a methadone clinic and stayed home as asked by the Governor the streets could get cleaned.

Look at me getting stuck in the snow that’s not plowed because I lack common sense!

I wasn’t aware plows needed completely empty streets in order to plow. I guess every time it snows we’d betterock down the entire state like it’s the marathon bombing all over again.

Fuck off Jeff. We all know it’s you.

The transition from W Boylston into Worcester on Burncoat st was the same. WB roads were wet, Worcester roads were still covered in snow at noon today

Another lame blog about snowy streets in Worcester? Do we usually get much snow up here in Worcester?

I always drive down Salisbury St. from Holden to Worcester and it’s the same thing every year, looks just like that picture between Paxton and Worcester.
