Is Worcester a dumpy city? Sure. But it could be worse – they could be using your city as a set in a movie about the 1967 Detroit race riots:
This is how you know your city has problems. When the guy who made an Academy Award winning movie is looking for a place that most resembles America’s most run down city during their most infamous riots and they say, “Let’s give Brockton a call.” Too perfect.

Now, earlier than I proceed, it’s important to state that PCMag would not condone illegally
streaming or downloading films.
Deadpool and Victor Frankenstein are the two new motion pictures to make their first appearances
on essentially the most pirated movies listing.
Wonder why they didn’t use Detroit. There are plenty of vacant buildings around. Some of the skyscrapers have been vacant for 30 years. I’m sure they could have found plenty of people to work as extra’s. Puzzling to me,although I have never been to Brocton.
Too dangerous in Detroit. And no where to have lunch.
OK. So what? Anyone can take 10 seconds to google search who is the director of a film.
The story is about the status of Brockton, not what is the gender of a prior film.
Have you ever been through downtown Brockton.
As TB says ….. “too perfect”
Films cannot be a gender. Film directors CAN. You are right…it takes 10 seconds to Google it. So that’s what should have been done. Why so rude toward TDF? Did YOU write the article, Lupstah?
It was a woman who directed the Hurt Locker, Kathryn Bigelow…Just an FYI
