A Brockton husband and wife stood next to one another as they pleaded guilty to raping and sexually assaulting two children for years after they had been put in their care by the Department of Children and Families.
David Oaks, 42, and Kathy Oaks, 36, each pleaded guilty to dozens of charges, including rape of a child by force and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years or under, at their court hearing Monday in Brockton Superior Court.
Neither looked in the direction of the male victim who was sitting in the courtroom with two friends. They quietly answered “Yes” and “No” as Judge Carol Ball went through the proceedings.
The victims, a brother and sister, were placed in the care of David and Kathy Oaks in 2000 after they were removed from the home of their biological parents because of abuse and neglect, Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague said during the arraignment.
In today’s society of people having very strong and vastly differing political views and stances. But one opinion is universal – people who rape children should suffer the absolute harshest of penalties.
Which brings us to the most repugnant case in recent memory, a Brockton couple who adopted two children and repeatedly raped them for years. One Brockton officer that I know personally referred to this as “the most horrific case I have ever or will ever experience during my tenure as a cop.” This case only gets worse upon examining the details, as the “mother” (if you can call her that), tried repeatedly to get pregnant from her own foster child.
In a remarkable display of courage, the male victim (the two victims were brother and sister) appeared in court to face these two abusers/vermin and was admonished by judge Carol Ball for his bravery. Unfortunately however, after pleading guilty, the two perpetrators, David and Kathy Oaks, were only sentenced to 15 and 13 years respectively. Which begs the question, “If these two don’t deserve the death penalty or at least life in prison, who does?!?!”
What is wrong with our justice system? Shouldn’t these people be castrated/electrocuted/burned at the stake? Taking in two young, vulnerable foster children that had already been abused and neglected and then repeatedly committing these horrific, unspeakable acts and they will both be out of prison in their 50’s? How can the victims sleep at night knowing these monsters will be back on the street again in a little over a decade? This is definitely a case that I wish I lived in a society that could have closed this case with two bullets.

The opening sentence wasn’t really a sentence, and most of this was copy and paste, but hopefully these POS’s get what’s coming to them in jail.

It seems to me he should be commended.
I hope this was just a case of the author choosing the wrong word.
