Boston Globe:  After students of color complained they felt unsafe, Brookline High School officials launched series of forums and trainings over the past year hoping to root out racist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic attitudes in their midst. But a pair of videos last week — they showed young men laughing while incessantly hurling a racial epithet to describe black people — are forcing the school to again confront those issues. Superintendent Andrew Bott and headmaster Anthony Meyer condemned the “vile, hate-filled videos” in a letter Wednesday that notified families of the recordings.

And on Thursday, dozens of students protested against the racial climate at the school by walking out. Brookline police are also investigating the videos, which were posted online. I honestly think we’re so numb to it now that we don’t even care if they like us. We just want the respect we deserve,’’ said Jada Finklea, 16, a junior in the African-American and Latino Scholars program.

The first video, circulated on social media last week, showed three young men laughing while using a racial epithet multiple times. At one point, one of them mentioned the school’s African-American and Latino Scholars program. Heather Hamilton, a member of the town’s Select Board, said she has heard from Brookline residents who said they are disturbed by the recordings and want action from the school. She expressed confidence in the superintendent’s ability to address the matter. But she said she felt sad after reading that some students said they felt outraged by the videos, though not surprised by them.

Police detectives obtained copies of the videos Wednesday night after being alerted to them by reporters, and no decision had been made Thursday whether the videos are evidence of a crime, said Deputy Superintendent Michael Gropman. Bott and Meyer wrote that high school administrators immediately began investigating the first video as soon as they were made aware of it. They disciplined one of the men, who is a current student. The other two no longer attend the school. Officials are investigating the second video.

“While it is hard to fathom the intent of such videos, their impact is clear and concerning. They degrade, dehumanize, and diminish our community,” Bott and Meyer wrote. “We want to be clear — these types of videos and behavior are unacceptable and have no place in our community.”

But several students who walked out of school said they were not satisfied because officials took a week to respond to the matter.

“There’s a lot of stuff that goes unseen, and we can only remedy that with bringing attention to it and educating each other,’’ said Kaya Andrews, a 16-year-old junior. “In the letter that the superintendent sent out, it wasn’t mentioned that the white kids said the N-word, and that was a really big issue.”

On Thursday, students protested by skipping classes. Some of them, wrapped in sweaters and blankets, sat on the school’s front steps. A few held signs. The protests — one at 9 a.m. and another at 2 p.m. — started with about 100 students but dwindled. Jimmy Ricks, 17, a senior, said he was willing to do whatever it takes to see changes at Brookline High.

“We’re tired of hearing the same thing over and over again,” he said. “We’re hoping that this time it’s different, because if not, I’m going to be really disappointed. If nothing happens, we’re not going to let it slide by this time,” he said.

Bott, who also stood with students outside the school, acknowledged the school’s slow response, calling it a fair criticism.

“I think that the team at the high school has acknowledged that,’’ he said in a phone interview later. “The principal of the high school acknowledged that at the rally this morning.”

So the video is actually legitimately racist. It’s tree losers in a 15 second clip dishing out hard n words over and over again, for seemingly no reason:

But the reaction from students and the administrators that went along with this is everything that’s wrong with the left today. They take a situation like this where you want to agree with them, and then they just go overboard and completely change what the protest is all about. They start using words like, “unsafe,” because ONE idiotic students, and two former students, made a 15 second video of them saying the n word over and over again for seemingly no reason. It’s not funny. It’s not witty. It’s just intentionally offensive. But it certainly doesn’t make anyone “unsafe.” And that’s where you lose me.

And why the hell are the cops “investigating” this? Two students used free speech rights outside of school to say something that pretty every normal person would find offensive. What are the cops gonna do? Arrest them for being chudwumps?

Then you have the SJW parents and board members starting this contest to see who can be the most offended by this 15 second video featuring uncomfortable, racially charged words. They do so by demanding that the school “do something.” What should they do? Doesn’t matter. As long as it’s something. And we all know what that ends up being – some non-profit black lives matter snake oil salesman like Didi Delgado is gonna get hired to teach a training seminar on diversity and the dangers of white privilege.

And right on cue this happened:

The superintendent promised to deepen anti-racism work in the curriculum and offer deeper support to students targeted in the videos. Last year, the school promised community discussions after racist and homophobic graffiti were discovered on two town-owned picnic tables near the high school. It implemented an anti-bias program from the Anti-Defamation League, which plans to begin training at all four of the town’s middle schools, league officials said.

This is all part of the racist-industrial complex. These organizations cannot make money without the illusion of rampant racism. They don’t want racism to end because it employs too many people. Without racists there would be no demand for racial sensitivity training. Someone is about to make bank off of this, just like the Anti-Defamation League (a very profitable non-profit) likely did last year.

It’s also a great opportunity for some good ol fashioned white people virtue signaling, to show that you’re one of the “good ones”:

They LOVE the word solidarity. Makes em feel all nice and juicy inside. Like they’re taking down the Klan one hashtag and fist in the sky at a time. Someone tell Didi Delgado to hit this lady up for some reparations. That’s cash money if I’ve ever seen it.

But seriously, just watch this video:

Listen to what this kid says:

“When I came into school today I put my fist up in black power, black lives matter. Ummm…one of my teachers actually told me to stop, and I actually printed the sign because they can’t tear it down.”

This kid has no idea what he’s talking about. He saw a mob and jumped in it. And he’s using this as an opportunity to shit on his teachers, and try to make them look racist. And that’s where you lose me. I’m not interested in listening to some 14 year old who knows jack shit about jack shit bad mouth his teacher in front of a camera.

I’m also not intrested in any of this:

Holding your hand up like that is nothing more than feel good, meaningless virtue signaling. It make the person doing it feel like they’r changing something. They’re not. It just feels good. And for the love of God, if you’re gonna give a speech about racism, white privilege, and oppression, don’t read it off your iPhone.

I’m all for a student walkout, so long as there’s an achievable and tangible goal of it. We supported the David Prouty kids when they walked out of their school two years ago, because they had no books, no extracurricular activities, their favorite teachers were unjustly suspended without recourse, and the ceilings were literally falling on them in class.

Those kids wanted all of those things fixed. And if kids are demanding more books, and a normal high school experience that kids at real schools get to enjoy, then that’s something adults should get behind.

But this? What’s the point of this?  It’s hundreds of kids walking out of class because two losers said racial slurs on Snapchat. Big deal. Now you know they’re pieces of shit and you know better than to associate yourself with them. In no way, shape, or form are you endangered by two idiots using the n word because they think it makes them bad ass.

But as much as you can condemn the language they used, they have a right to say stuff like that in a free society. They knew what they were saying was wrong an ignorant. And that’s exactly why they said it. Because they think being a dumbass makes them cool. They don’t need to learn in a diversity training that it was wrong, because they already know that. There is literally nothing that can be done to stop stuff like this, so this protest was a complete waste of time.

And what’s the end game? All 2,000 BHS students stop using the n word off of school property? What kind of goal is that? How do you even enforce or measure that? What if a kid says the n word but he does’t put it on social media?

The bottom line is that the only effective way to deal with people like this is to socially ostracize them and make fun of them relentlessly. You’re the class racist now. We’re gonna turn you into a meme, you’re gonna get beat up if you show up at the keg party, and no girl is ever gonna have sex with you. Boom. Problem solved.

And then all the black students went home to their single mother house holds where their welfare queen mother used the n-word to degrade their no good baby daddy, tell their children they are no better than their black ass daddy, and greet each other using the n-word.
When the black community stops calling each other the n-word and throwing it around like it’s nothing, then some change will take place, but it’s not going to because they use it like white people use the word fuck or shit, a lot of blacks call everyone the n-word because they were taught to by their own black parents. The problem isn’t whites saying the n-word, it’s blacks saying the n-word.

I see they have encountered the fabled Edge-Lord. Once thought to be a thing of the past, they randomly pop up in high schools all over the countryside.

    “Hug somebody…..”
Makes them feel all warm, squishy and ultra-gooey inside. What a difference they made!

It’s going to be easier and easier for China to overcome the USA as these snowflakes mature and enter the mainstream.

I deeply apologize to the citizens of Boston. For lying about being a racial slur at Fenway park. Please boo me at my next at-bat.

My guess is that these guys made this video because they knew this is exactly the kind of reaction that would occur. It’s as predictable as the sun rising in the east.

Black people use the N word all the time, way more than whites, it’s part of their daily vocabulary, I’m not buying this bullshit, sorry kids, it’s a non-starter until you all stop doing it as well

    I LOVE BEING WHITE
