So a Buzzfeed writer named Pedro Fequiere, who is also a black lives matter activist, decided to conduct an experiment to see if people would treat him differently based on the way he was dressed. The premise was simple – dress nicely one day and see how people react, then the next day dress like shit, do the exact same things as the day before, and see how people react differently. According to the headline of the article:

Every day, we are essentially dressing for survival.

Sure thing mate. Welcome to grown up world, where the clothes you wear, the length of your hair, your choice of tattoos and piercings, your smell, and lots of other aesthetic things matter. Ya see, in high school and college, it didn’t really matter. You could wear a backwards hat, never shave, grow your hair out long, wear an “I have the dick so I make the rules” Spencer Gifts T-shirt, and generally give off the impression that you just rolled out of bed.

But once you graduate to grown up world, you have to do things you don’t like. According to Pedro though, he does NOT like getting dressed up:

“Thoughts while dressing up: I felt pretentious, uncomfortable, and embarrassed.”

Newsflash Pedro – unless you work from home or at some hipster startup company, chances are you’re gonna be uncomfortable at work. It’s terrible. And the worst part is you can’t fart whenever you want. You literally have to hold in gas all day. Insane, I know. But it’s just part of being an adult. No need to be embarrassed though, lots of normal people are dressing just like you. It’s not that we would choose to dress like this normally, it’s just something society has dictated as necessary if you want to be taken seriously by other adults.

Predictably the experiment went exactly as he thought it would. When he was dressed up like this everyone was kissing his ass:

But when he took a page out of the Orange Julius Jones school of fashion playbook, people weren’t as nice to him:

Ya know, because he looks like shit.

If Pedro were smart he would take form this what any other person with half a brain took from it – when you put an effort into your appearance you are more likely to be taken seriously and treated respectfully by strangers. But instead he chose to make it about racism:

There were multiple moments where I felt unaccepted and feared. It’s this same assumed uneasiness that can cause a police officer to shoot an unarmed black child, teenager, or adult. This predisposed perception of black men being violent criminals gives others the consent to write off our mistreatment as something we deserve rather than prejudice and injustice. What I wore while dressing down is no different from what an average college student might wear to class. But why does a women need to protect her belongings from me in broad daylight? Why must it be for an interview if I’m dressed up? Why does a group of retail associates need to divert all their attention to me when I’m in a hoodie? Or why do they feel I’m more approachable with my shirt tucked in? I don’t know, but I shouldn’t have to change what I’m wearing to not be feared.

Oh for fuck’s sake. Racism?? This proves this exact opposite. Pedro was treated with respect and dignity when he was dressed up, but not when he was wearing his panhandling uniform. But he was black no matter what he wore. If racism were as rampant as Pedro wants it to be then he would’ve been treated like shit when he was dressed up.

If Turtleboy was to wear his white trash pajamas into Louis Vuitton store he’d probably get the same treatment you did. It’s not because people are predisposed to think Turtleboy is a violent criminal. It’s because he looks poor and raggedy and thus has no use to a business that is dependent upon sales from high end customers. Please reference Pretty Woman for more information. That’s literally exactly what happened in that movie.

And you’re right Pedro. When you dressed down you dressed no differently from an average college student. And guess what? No one like your average college student. They’re not employable, they whine, they’re probably high, and they give zero fucks about anything. You got the exact same treatment that any broke ass, smelly college kid would get.

As for the woman who moves her purse when you approach her on a busy street in Los Angeles. Are you a moron? Do you not understand how routine this is for any woman when any man gets too close to her in an urban environment? Do you not realize there are pickpockets out there who come in all shades and colors? God forbid women take precautions to protect themselves from strangers. Must be racism.

And no, you don’t have to change what you’re wearing not to be feared. No one fears you, as much as you would like to make yourself a victim. The only thing they fear is that you haven’t showered in a few days or done laundry in months. That’s why people keep their distance. And yes, you absolutely should be forced to change what you’re wearing in order to alter this perception. Welcome to grown up world.

Naturally social justice warrior white people (the worst people on earth) were lining up to defend him in the comments:

Friggin white people. They’re always experts on how black people are treated. Not some black people – ALL black people.

Screen Shot 2016-06-20 at 1.42.58 PM

The pressure of not wearing pajamas in public? Yea, must be hard.

The bottom line is that Buzzfeed is a joke, and so was this experiment. All it did was prove that loser SJW’s like Pedro would rather whine about how unfair life is rather than make some basic adaptations in order to further themselves. At the end of the day he’s a 24 year old who still thinks he’s a kid, and there are millions more just like him.

Dress for success. Is that not a thing anymore? Nice Joseph Abboud suits at Men’s Warehouse. Single and double breasted. Just sayin.’ Their ties are kick ass as well…

Also Antonio Corapi on Shrewsbury Street will get you all kinds of looking sharp. More pricey than Joseph Abboud but well worth it and Antonio will fit a suit for you to the tee. No off the rack stuff.

Sorry Turtle. I’m not trying to sell anything. Just information.

Oh shit I forgot. We all wear pajamas out in public now, no showers, no brush the teeth, no comb the hair, fucking farting like you haven’t taken a shit in four days. So fuck the nice clothes and the cleanliness.

I’ll just go to fucking Appblebees in my pajamas and be the gross one…

In high school, I was the weird kid that decided that wearing a suit and tie everyday was a good idea. Oddly enough, no one had a problem with it, and some people really liked it. You know who liked it the most? The teachers. And when I got to college and I showed up to class looking presentable, sitting next to a bunch of hungover slobs in pajamas, the professors really responded well to it.
I’m not advocating that everyone do this (partly because then I’d lose out on the comparison), but it wasn’t that long ago that men wore jackets and ties and hats all the time, even on their days off. Why is it that people think they get to present themselves to the world like a fucking bum and not be judged based on that? You have to work hard to show your true self to other people, based on your actions second, and your appearance first.
And no one who matters is going to hold against you the things that you have no control over (skin color is a prime example); however, show up looking like you should be holding a cardboard sign, and expect to be treated like hell. Respect from other people comes from respecting yourself first.

Basically everyone and their mothers. Knew this back so many years ago. Now, any sensible thinking, is treated like a new revelation. Just shows, how far basic logic has diminished in society. Sad when one thinks of it !

His posture is annoying. Stand with your shoulders up! No real mean hunches over like a lazy bum!

Even dressed up he looks like a clown. The first pic his jacket is so small he can’t even stand up straight. In the other dressed up picture his pants are so high water he must know there’s a flood coming.
    Moron.

      I thought the same thing!

If you’re uncomfortable, dude, it’s because your jacket is too small, and you’re wearing “skinny chinos.”

By the way, I didn’t know LuLaRoe made sweatpants for men. I’d cross the street just to get away from those pants!

It doesn’t matter what he’s wearing, look at his eyes. He still looks like he just rolled out of bed and smoked a blunt in every one of those pictures.

this story reminded me of a tall tale about a white man who was shunned at a Cadillac dealership because he was wearing regular work clothes and did not look like he could afford their cars. Turns out the guy was Spag. I do not think this ever really happened but it is an old story about how people will judge people by how they dress and it’s ok. Actually this country has been robbed more by people in suits.

Apparently, these SJWs have never seen “People of Walmart”, where the vast majority of images are those of creepy looking white people.

Nope, it’s all about the racism. SMH.

Being a liberal progressive means you must turn your brain off. It’s such hilarious nonsense. They want you to think the craziest bullshit.
If someone is tatted head to toe, dressed like a hood and flashes gang signs doesn’t mean he’s a gang member….he could be a doctor or a scientist.
Millennials have actually been taught this crap and now anyone who doesn’t think like them is racist.

I still can’t over this wearing pajamas out in public stuff. When did that even become a thing? So let me get this straight. You wake up from bed, past noon, no shower, no brush the teeth, maybe comb the hair? (depending on what day of the week it is) then go out in public with the expressed intention to gross people out and not give two flying fucks.

Jesus H. Christ talk about lazy. Does the fact that most of these shitbirds are on welfare and don’t have to work count as enough laziness? I see these wasted spaces in Shaw’s when I go to grab some groceries. They are disgusting and it doesn’t get any worse. Or maybe it could. What would be next I ask? Complementary outside of the pajama skid marks?

    Could be.

  • Clives not racist, just ask him
