Last week we told you the story of Boston University sociology professor Saida Grundy, who had tweeted some extremely racist things about white college students in April. The backlash was strong. We picked the story up from SoCawlege.com and from there it spread like wildfire to the major media outlets all across the country. Here’s some of the more famous tweets:

BU must’ve got bombarded with emails and phone calls, wanting to know why they would employ such a poo-poo head. Here was the response from BU President Robert Brown:

Many members of our community are aware of comments made on social media by Dr. Saida Grundy, who on July 1stwill become an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology with an additional appointment in African American Studies.

Dr. Grundy’s comments are receiving extensive coverage in the media; we are also hearing from alumni, friends, and others about them. Many have expressed the view that some of Dr. Grundy’s comments are offensive and/or racist.

At Boston University, we acknowledge Dr. Grundy’s right to hold and express her opinions. Our community is composed of faculty, staff, and students who represent widely varying points of view on many sensitive issues.

At the same time, we fully appreciate why many have reacted so strongly to her statements. Boston University does not condone racism or bigotry in any form, and we are committed to maintaining an educational environment that is free from bias, fully inclusive, and open to wide-ranging discussions. We are disappointed and concerned by statements that reduce individuals to stereotypes on the basis of a broad category such as sex, race, or ethnicity. I believe Dr. Grundy’s remarks fit this characterization.

I do not say this lightly or without a great deal of consultation and soul-searching. I understand there is a broader context to Dr. Grundy’s tweets and that, as a scholar, she has the right to pursue her research, formulate her views, and challenge the rest of us to think differently about race relations. But we also must recognize that words have power and the words in her Twitter feed were powerful in the way they stereotyped and condemned other people. As a university president, I am accustomed to living in a world where faculty do—and should—have great latitude to express their opinions and provoke discussion. But I also have an obligation to speak up when words become hurtful to one group or another in the way they typecast and label its members. That is why I weigh in on this issue today.

Too often conversations about race quickly become inflamed and divisive. We must resolve to find a vocabulary for these conversations that allows us to seek answers without intemperance, rancor, or unnecessary divisiveness. We expect our faculty members to strive to create this environment in their classrooms.

I also understand that some members of our faculty believe that any equivocation by the president is tantamount to not supporting a new colleague. To those who feel that way, I ask that we talk rather than jump to conclusions. I recognize this is a difficult issue and I welcome the chance to talk with all of you and Dr. Grundy about it.

Only when we hold these conversations will we—as an academic community, with our educational programs, research, and scholarship—meet the standards we set for ourselves.

Basically what he just said is that he thinks this woman is a moron just like every other normal person out there, but he’s not gonna do shit about it because he doesn’t want to upset the other dingleberry professors who agree with her. And at least 90% of college professors agree with her.

He also said that conversations about race are “divisive and inflamed.” Newsflash –  it’s BECAUSE of people like Saida Grundy that conversations are divisive and inflamed. Without her we’d all get along. But it’s hard to get along with a professor who has openly said you are part of a “problem population”

But the fact of the matter is that she would’ve been fired IMMEDIATELY if she were a white professor making broad generalizations about another race. Anyone who denies that is living in la-la land.

And to make matters worse, it’s since been reported that not only does she have a distaste for college-aged males of the caucasian persuasion, she also doesn’t like white women who whine about stupid things – like getting raped:

In a Facebook comment thread in February, an exchange took place between Grundy and Meghan Chamberlin, a rape survivor. The thread—appearing on the profile of Frank William Miller Junior, a marketing designer for Complex magazine and co-founder of the wildly popular site “Rappers I Know,” which helped foster the careers of Jay Electronica, Danny Brown, and Talib Kweli—linked to an op-ed from The Grio, an African-American-interest news and opinion site, titled “Dear Patricia Arquette: Blacks and gays owe white women nothing.”

“I LITERALLY cry and lose sleep over this,” Chamberlin commented, adding that she had been raped as a child. “What this article did was tell me that I’m not aloud [sic] to ask for help… Because I am a WHITE woman… So when I read this article… you do understand what that does to me, right? It kills me…”

“’I literally cry’…. While we literally die,” Grundy allegedly responded, linking to an op-ed on RH Reality Check, titled “Patricia Arquette’s Spectacular Intersectionality Fail.” “Try this article. A white woman explaining this issue to other white women… who manages NOT to cry while doing it!”

So let me get this straight. Dr. Saida Grundy doesn’t think Meghan Chamberlain has a right to become upset about the fact that she was raped as a child, because…..Michael Brown. I’m glad to see BU is actively employing such a thoughtful, caring, and sympathetic individual.

But wait, it gets better:

Screen Shot 2015-05-20 at 5.07.03 PM

A college professor actually wrote, “#whitegirltears” to a rape victim who was upset about something that brought back memories of being raped. There’s really not much else you can say here. Saida Grundy is nothing less than human garbage. She’s a shitty, terrible person with no soul, and she is tasked with educating impressionable young adults.

And yet she is still employed by BU. Every time I hear a story about this the concept of “white privilege” becomes more and more hilarious. BU has made it perfectly clear that as long as you’re not white, you are free to be a bigoted, hate-filled person who mocks rape victims, and still collect a six figure salary from the school. Quite frankly, I would like to give Saida Grundy a hug, but I don’t want to smother her with oppression.

I think we can all agree that anyone who openly stands with Saida Grundy is a moron. After all, it takes a really shitty person to stand by someone who laughs at rape victims because white people used to own slaves 150 years ago. But one of those people is Cara Berg Powers. Sound familiar? She’s the one who called Janice Harvey a racist after she said that she was “color-blind.”

She also is the head of the Worcester Human Rights Commission, which exists for one reason – to sell diversity training sessions. Because without the illusion of rampant racism, Cara Berg Powers would have to get a real job. Her bio and Facebook pictures tell you all you need to know:

Cara also serves as the Vice Chair of the Human Rights Commission in her hometown of Worcester, MA, where she currently resides with her husband, who has been so supportive of her work and ambitions that he even took her last name!

“This is what a feminist looks like.” Truer words have never been spoken. Quite frankly I’m kind of jealous of this guy. He gets to stay at home, have his wife take care of him financially, and never exercise. And all he has to do in return is take his wife’s last name. There’s nothing emasculating about that. Nothing at all.

Here’s what his wife had to say about Saida Grundy earlier today:

11231750_1585685838381360_3511996396329772352_n

Yes, it’s not Saida Grundy’s job to be empathetic towards a rape victim. It’s her job to mock her for being a WHITE rape victim. This is what the head of the “Human Rights Commission” openly endorses on social media.

11350440_1585685835048027_6568941024165534415_n 11246855_1585685831714694_819477202740332568_n

Oh I see. So as long as a professor has a different “theoretical orientation” than someone else, they have a license to say bigoted, hateful things on the Internet. Because after all, white girls getting raped is hilarious.

11008635_1585685828381361_3370773408325771535_n

Yes Cara. Mocking a rape victim is “calling out racism.” That makes TONS of sense.

10421974_1585685845048026_3102092765649427492_n

Pardon me, but didn’t Saida Grundy just tell a WOMAN speaking out about a WOMAN’s issue, to shut up? Yup, nothing hypocritcal about that at all.

The bottom line is that every day Saida Grundy continues to be employed Boston University officially becomes a bigger joke. I can’t even consider it a real school. Saida Grundy is an asshole troll on the Internet and she’s teaching classes at BU. Therefore a degree from BU is useless. It would be like us starting Turtleboy University and having some of our more infamous and colorful commenters teaching all the classes.

The BU office of alumni relations phone number is 617-353-5261. The Director of the African-American Studies center is John Thornton, and his email is jkthorn@bu.edu. Feel free to shoot him an email and flood his inbox so that he knows the general public has a problem with the fact that one of his underlings is spreading racism and hate onto students.

I just called BU to voice my concerns over their future employment of Grundy. The secretary was extremely nice and understanding. She claimed that she has been flooded with calls against ‘Professor Grundy’ and would document my call.

    Keep flooding that line!!!!

Just checked the cost for a college Freshman living at BU: $68,856 including room, board, and “other” expenses. That seems like money well spent. I think I’d rather masturbate with sandpaper then attend one of Saida’s lectures. I would probably get more out of it, too.

I was going to start off commenting about Saida Grundy and Cara Berg Power’s actions and words, as I don’t agree with them, but I decided to first respond to “Clives doorag top convertable’s” post above, because I find it interesting and hypocritical that someone can be upset about both Saida’s and Cara’s comments, but yet, react in the same way the generalizations. Within that person’s post, there was so much use of the word “they” (For example: it’s all the HELP “they” have been receiving from democrats, “they” have been made a welfare dependent class all for a price, all “they” do is come up with some racial issues involving a white cop…) being used for “African Americans. Also, when the person brings up what “they” have been receiving from democrats, not every African American is on welfare just like not all belong to the Democratic party. Even if some are on welfare, there are some that need it and not all are abusing the system. Even if some are Democrats, they have right to their political party choice.

Anyway, in response to Saida and Cara’s comments, I find their comments classes and childish. First, I have experienced racism, prejudices, and discrimination in my lifetime and still do to this day (not from one specific group either), but I don’t think generalizations and stereotyping a whole other race, ethnic group, etc… just because some from any of those groups discriminate is a right way to respond to those actions. In fact, it bothers me when anyone does it and it also annoys me I see people who are supposedly “our allies”get bothered because I question them acting in that way. Second, I don’t care what Saida’s excuse is for thinking it okay to attack a rape victim for pass slights due to discrimination, her actions are pathetic and also classless. Same with those who think what she did was okay. I could comment more, but I’ll leave it at the last statement as I’ve already had a long day.

Sorry but the number of Republican African Americans barely registers statistically. But when you have an ethnic group that accounts for a bit over 15% of the population sucking up 39% of the welfare expenditures and responible for over 80% of all violent crimes..you have a culture and parenting problem..not a race problem.l

The thing Grundy and Baldino share is an underlying antisemitism. Grundy advocates not shopping at white owned, white privileged businesses during MLK week. She doesn’t exclude Jews from her anti-white boycott because she views Jews as having a white advantage, in education, finance and job-wise. Grundy can’t accept that Jewish families have a tradition of stressing the importance of education.

Baldino is an anti-religion atheist. Here’s a Carlo quote, “… Religious people should be studied by anthropologists in the same way they study primitive tribes and mountain gorillas…”

In his LTE and his blog he bragged about how he turned a Jewish woman into an anti-Christian with his ‘diversity’ class. He sees the fact that the woman demanded Christmas decorations be taken down as something good. The woman should have asked the employer to display decorations from other religions. Instead no religious stuff could be tolerated. That is a Carlo belief, not an American-Jewish belief.

He is also promoting the idea that Jews are an ethnic group and not a religious group. Thus stripping all Jews of their religion because some Jews are secular. It’s the verbal equivalent of boxing up the Jews into boxcars labelled “ethnic group” where none are considered to be true Jews. Carlo’s ‘diversity’ classes train Jews to not think of themselves as religious Jews. The ‘graduates’ become anti-religious… a Carlo dream come true.

Carlo strips, trains and loads Jews into the boxcars and Grundy calls for the destruction of their white privileged businesses. The combined Grundy/Baldino belief system is an extremely dangerous, hidden in plain sight, form of antisemitism.

Any Jewish leader, any Religious leader, who supports both Grundy and Baldino is beyond foolish.

Saida Grundy is nothing more than a slogan repeating, race baiting hoar. Ask her one day why recent African immigrants thrive in America and actually do better than their white counterparts. The ones I know don’t t even wan’t to be associated with African Americans. See, the real problem that African Americans have is not “racism” it’s all the”HELP” they have been receiving from democrats. They have basically been made into a welfare dependent class all for the price of a vote. It sickens me how they are used by the liberal media to divert attention from another issue too. All they have to do is come up with some racial issue involving a white cop and you got a city on fire and people forgetting about Clinton scandals.. Just sad the Saida Grundies of the world are too dumb to realize they are being used as pawns to the detriment of their own race!

  • Really?

When will losers stop trying to rationalize their laziness and lack of intellectual firepower (you, Saida) on other peoples’ work ethic making themselves successful?
