The outrage patrol has found something new to be offended by this week….

A New Jersey principal apologized to minority students for the phrase “party like it’s 1776” imprinted on tickets to the school’s upcoming senior prom to be held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

Cherry Hill High School East Principal Dennis Perry sent a letter to students, parents and other community members Friday apologizing for the “insensitive” wording that led to complaints from African-American and minority students. Perry said it was “irresponsible” for he and other prom organizers to overlook the historical fact that “not all communities can celebrate what life was like in 1776,” a time of slavery in America. The American Revolutionary War theme for the event was intended to pair with the National Constitution Center venue, which was established after President Ronald Reagan signed the Constitution Heritage Act of 1988 to “disseminate information about the United States Constitution on a nonpartisan basis in order to increase the awareness and understanding of the Constitution among the American people.”

But the message missed the mark with several minority students at Cherry Hill High School East, prompting the prom apology.

“Today, I learned that members of our school community were offended by a statement written on our Senior Prom ticket,” Dr. Dennis Perry wrote in the Friday letter. “I especially apologize to our African American students, whom I have let down by not initially recognizing the inappropriateness of this wording. You can expect that we will do better as a school community to produce well thought out, appropriate communications.”

According to the most recent state education data, the Cherry Hill, New Jersey school in Camden County lists that 6.2 percent of its students are black, 62.2 percent of the school is white and 22.4 percent of the student body identifies as Asian. The public school had 2,177 students during the 2015-16 school year, with the school’s Hispanic population at just shy of 6 percent of the overall student body.

Oh for fuck’s sake. Cherry Hill is right outside of Philadelphia. Home to the Philadelphia 76ers. I can only imagine the trauma that Allen Iverson endured all those years while being forced to don the uniform of a team that commemorated that horrible year in which black people were enslaved.

Here’s my question – how does the world survive the 4th of July every year? After all, we’re celebrating the anniversary of an event that took place during a year in which people were enslaved!! You’re not allowed to do that. Ever!!

Ya know who wasn’t here in 1776? Most people’s ancestors. Because they immigrated here long after that. As did many, many black people, Asians, Latinos, and anyone else I’m missing. If the only reason to celebrate is if our ancestors were here in 1776 and not enslaved, there would be like two kids having a good time at the prom. But again, the one thing that unites us is that we live in a country that kicked the shit out of Britain in 1776. And we set up a form of government that created the means to abolish slavery through constitutional amendments. This is something any reasonable person would celebrate.

What a fucking joke. Every day the world gets crazier and crazier. Ya know what a great way to stop the madness is? Stop apologizing for things that aren’t wrong in the first place. Like “party like it’s 1776” themed proms. Ya know what normal black and white people think about when that word comes to mind? Independence. A reason to celebrate. Ya know what uptight twatwaffles with a stick up their ass think about? Slavery. Because when you’re constantly trying to win the oppression Olympics, you never stop being woke.

Candace Owens said it best when she said, “Victim mentality is not cool. I don’t know why people like to be oppressed.”

Because that’s the culture we live in right now. People go out of their way to find a way in which every aspect of life victimizes them, instead of just enjoying life and not being poon.

There’s no law that says you have to appease these idiots. Just mock them and dismiss the stupid things they say like we do. Trust me, most people will agree with you. Because the people making all the noise don’t actually represent the majority. They just yell the loudest.
