Crazy Cat Rescue Chick Who Sent A Mob After Innocent Woman In 2017 Is Suing Really Nice Cat Owner For Letting The Cat She Rescued Go Outside On A Leash For 5 Minutes And Is Spending Donated Money On Lawyer Fees

Hello Turtle Riders. As you know if you follow Turtleboy we are constantly getting censored and banned by Facebook for what are clearly not violations of their terms of service. Twitter has done the same, and trolls mass reported our blog to Google AdSense thousands of times, leading to demonitization. We can get by and survive, but we could really use your help. We crap on the Boston Globe a lot, but today they actually put out a pretty good public interest story, and it involves an old Turtleboy character a lot of people probably forgot about. Here’s a rundown of the story:

  • Protagonist Paula Howard adopts neglected cat named Muse from Odd Cat Sanctuary in Salem and gets very attached to it.
  • OCS president and antagonist Tara Kawczynski sues her to get the cat back after seeing her post a video of the cat on a leash in her fenced in backyard in Salem.
  • As part of the contract she agrees not to let the cat outside because cats live twice as long if they never go outside, and OCS reserves the right to take the cat back if she violates the contract.
  • Paula Howard has to pay thousands of dollars for a lawyer to fight for the right to keep the cat that she saved from being euthanized.
  • Paula Howard offers her $500 to keep the cat, drop the lawsuit, and promises never to bring the cat outside for even a moment ever again. Kawczynski declines.
  • Kawczynski insists that the cat has been outside multiple times even though she has no proof of that whatsoever, and is basing it entirely on a video of the cat rolling around on a leash.
  • Kawczynski claims the purpose of the lawsuit is safety for the cat, but obviously she’s just a crazy cat lady.
  • Kawczynski demanded that Paula Howard also pay for her legal fees, for the lawsuit she was choosing to bring to court.
  • Paula Howard’s lawyer argued the contract was never a valid one to begin with.
  • Kawczynski’s lawyer says he’s not filing any more complaints against Laura Howard because he thinks she’s a good owner, and that his client has made her point.
  • Despite this Kawczynski has not officially agreed to drop the lawsuit.

I understand that there are two sides to every story, but when the “other side” of the story is that they “know” the cat was outside, even though there’s no proof of it, and then that person’s lawyer basically says they want their client to drop the lawsuit, you know that this is a case of right and wrong.

The really messed up part about this is all the money Tara Kawczynski is wasting on this frivolous lawsuit. The cat is obviously fine. Cats are wild animals at heart, which is why they kill mice. They love to be outside and hunt because it’s what comes naturally. I understand that their life expectancy goes down if they become outdoor cats because of cars and predators, but that’s not what happened here. It was a fenced in backyard and the cat was rolling around in the sunshine on a leash. Obviously the cat is not in any danger, but Tara Kawczynski is wasting OCS resources on this stupid lawsuit to take joy from a woman who saved the cat from dying.

And OCS solicits donations as soon as you go to their page.

And Tara sells overpriced t-shirts all over her page.

They also have run a shitload of GoFundMe’s.

So this is what people’s donated money is going towards. Not helping cats find good homes, but for filing frivolous lawsuits to take cats OUT of good homes.

Here’s my question – how does the cat get to the vet without going outside? What happens when Paula Howard goes on vacation? Does the person watching the house and vet both have to do a house call so the cat avoids sunlight?

Anyway, the Globe did a decent job, but not a really thorough job investigating this story. Because had they done their research they’d find that there is much more to Tara Kawczynski that would let you know exactly how crazy she really is.

If her name rings a bell, that’s because we blogged about her twice in one day in August of 2017, after she sent an online mob after an innocent woman over a misunderstanding.

The girl did taxidermy, which is completely legal and doesn’t involve murdering kittens, but nonetheless Tara convinced the mob she was a feline Cruella de vil, and put an APB out for her because the woman’s phone died and she stopped at her parents house to charge it.

Turns out the cats were fine, and she sent the cops to get them.

Despite that Tara did nothing to update the mob of literally hundreds of thousands of people who read the viral post, to let them know NOT to kill the taxidermy chick. Thus her followers did not believe that the Hopedale PD had found the cats.

Anyone who didn’t go along with the kidnapping narrative was told to kindly shut their traps.

The mob threatened to show up at her house to save the kittens.

And Tara did nothing, even though she knew the cats were safe.

These were really rational people we were dealing with.

Then they started calling her employer, even though taxidermy has nothing to do with her job and was just a hobby of her’s.

And the mob grew angrier as Tara refused to update, assuming HPD was lying.

Tara owns the “non-profit,” and is the only board member.

She paid herself $77,000 in salary, which is easy to do when you’re the only board member.

Yet she claimed she couldn’t update her post with the correct information, so as to avoid a mob lynching of an innocent woman, because she was at work.

Even though she pays herself $77K a year to run a non-profit.

According to her LinkedIn she worked in telecommunications until 2 in the morning, which was the reason why she couldn’t update her post.

Except no one in telecommunications works until 2 AM.

Either way, this just once again proves that we’re two steps ahead of the mainstream media when it comes to everything. I feel bad for this Paula Howard woman because she seems like a really nice woman, and she’s just another victim that Tara can attack under the guise of keeping cats safe. This woman is obviously unbalanced and has no business running a cat rescue. If anything the cats should be rescued from her, and she should refund everyone who has donated to her, because no one should have their philanthropy go to a sleezy lawyer who’s taking a retainer to fight a case he doesn’t even believe in.

The weirdest thing about this is that people who walk cats on leashes are somehow the sanest in the story. I would have lost that bet.

Different rescues have different conditions set forth for adopting their animals written in their contracts. This rescue demands that the cat is to remain STRICTLY INDOORS….

Pamela Howard is the real fucking asshole of this issue. She got caught breaking the terms of the contract and didn’t like the consequences… Then she notifies the media? Entitled twat does not realize how much that can backfire….I hope to GOD any other animal shelter or rescue in the USA will Google her name (as the internet IS forever) and NEVER allow her to adopt a pet again.

I’ve seen the picture in question and you can see the cat’s collar. In the article it was explained that the cat was rolling around on top of the leash and not visible. Tara is this you bitching about your behavior being exposed yet again? Another distraction to try to sway public opinion on your side? Are lies all you have? You got caught lying to the Boston Globe. Why don’t you take the high road and just admit that you’re a complete fraud.

    So what’s the problem?
She took the cat outside on a leash in a fenced yard. Dogs do this every day. Some dogs are the size of cats.
Bitch needs to get a grip. Rules should not be so rigid. I’m a firm believer that rules should be merely guidelines and let people make their own judgement (assuming they have some sense).
The odd cat lady needs to fucking sit down and stop hurting people and stealing their money.

Cat’s are suppose to live outside and only come inside at night if ever.

Humans interfering with cat evolution, the few cats that survive the coyotes, fisher cats, bobcats, psycho neighbors will pass on their unique survival traits to future generations making cats better. What the hell makes a small animal like a cat think it can fall asleep outside in the open and not get attacked, cats are stupid.

Those cats are not the same as feral or domestic cats. These cats breed like rabbits, shit in any sand they find like kids sandboxes, kill birds to the point some populations are dwindling. The non wild cats are assholes.
I work in a barn and that has a few “barn cats” only 1 actually does their job. Even when she does she leaves the guts around. It’s disgusting.

From an article on Slate about the crazy pet shelter people:
“Being an animal rescuer can be a potent source of identity, combining salvation and self-sacrifice. But in recent years the ASPCA has seen that, for some people, this identity crosses over into pathology. Dr. Randall Lockwood, a senior vice president of the ASPCA, says that around 25 percent of the 6,000 animal hoarding cases reported in the United States each year involve purported rescuers, up from less than five percent 20 years ago”

Some folks have given up on the shelters and their insane rules and just buy pets now.

I have found that shelters are ridiculous with their standards too. For Slate to call them nutty is all you need to know. Their adoption fees are astronomical. I know that vet costs can be expensive, but I have a feeling a lot of people are padding their pockets or else they’re terrible at their negotiating, fund raising and keeping enough vounteers.
Rabbit are the most expensive adoption I think. $75. I’ve had rabbits forever. They are not expensive to keep. I don’t see how they can justify that cost. You can get a rabbit from a store or breeder for half that price. They’re pushing people to go anywhere else but a rescue.

For now on if I decide to continue to make donations to this organization, it’ll have to be in food form or physical things. I hope to God the funds used for this legal crap were NOT supposed to be used for the medical care of the cats. I follow the page. That Muse cat was previously adopted out once but returned back to Odd Cats for reasons I cant remember. Usually they say “ no fault of their own”. And now Odd Cats is busting the new owner’s chops for a cat that finally seems to be happy and thriving? Most of the people who volunteer for Odd Cats are doing it for the right reason. Please dont take this out on the cats. Many are taken in sometimes just mere hours before euthanasia
    appointment…..

I hope Odd Cat can find a decent legal team to revamp their contracts to be a bit more reasonable

    The cats thinking,

and this angry mob is wondering why all they have is a cat at home and no man. just read their comments. they are batshit crazy and they all feed the anger off each other. they need a hard stiff dick and a job. they seem to be looking for things to bitch about. get a job, a hobby, or a stiff dick to take your mind away from all the other batshit crazy broads that are constantly bitching. be a leader, not a follower, and stay far away from these women that have no job. they are so bored they have to comb the interweb to look for shit to complain about, then post it all over facebook in hopes other bored women will go along with it. women that do this is either full blown feminist or is in training to be a feminist. feminism is mental illness.

Calling someone’s employer is the final straw. Keep in mind that people need their jobs in order to support themselves. If you try to get them fired just because you do not agree with their views, they might just snap and come after you. People need to think long and hard before taking these types of actions.

Unfortunately, most managers are a bunch of pussies afraid of losing their own jobs because most of them do nothing but sit around all day pretending to be leaders, which is why they don’t have the nerve to tell someone to F off when they call to complain about someone.

I was mad about this yesterday until i contacted the shelter and was shown proof of the cat outside without a leash. These rescues don’t mess around, it sounds ridiculous but this isn’t a shelter you’re dealing with. You sign a contract saying you will never allow them outside, that’s entirely up for public debate but what isn’t is this cat owner lying about having “brought it out for 5 min with a leash”

    • Stunt Penis
      January 10, 2019 at 10:07 am

I suspect these “shelter contracts” have not been properly vetted in court.

Animals are considered personal property in the state of Massachusetts.

Imagine, if you will, if a car dealership stated in their sales contract that you were prohibited from driving your car on any road with a posted speed limit above 40mph, because statistics have shown more accidents occur on said roads.

Such a clause would be laughed right out of court if the dealership attempted to enforce it.

It’s been quite a few years since I had my course on the UCC / contract law, but there is a legal term, I forget what it’s called (and Attorney Richard N Vulva, Esquire, has not returned my text message, he must be in the judge’s chambers), where the purchaser of an item is legally entitled to the intended use of the purchased item. Taking your pet with you outside is a reasonable expectation of usage (even though I think it’s stupid to take your house cat outside without some type of restraint to prevent it from running off, that’s not my call, it’s not my property.)

It is unfortunate that Miss Kawczynski feels it necessary to misuse the funds entrusted to her charitable organization on such a frivolous claim. It is also unfortunate Miss Howard wasn’t of sufficient financial means to have her own attorney bitch-slap Miss Kawczynski back into reality, and further (with appropriate political contacts) have Miss Kawczynski’s charitable organization’s financial dealings appropriately investigated for other possible fiduciary breaches.

Lawyers can claim whatever they want, but without the case law to back up their claims, they’re just slinging bullshit… or, as I refer to it as, “legalized extortion”.
