This is literally all Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus gets paid to do:

Oh look, another rally against non-existent, fabricated racism designed to make Joyce McNickles and Keesha LaTulippe more money. It’s literally the ONLY thing they are capable of doing. Oh yea, and the meetings were top secret this morning, behind closed doors:

“In a three-part kickoff, the YWCA of Central Massachusetts first hosted a closed morning seminar with local dignitaries and officials on issues of racism and structural racism. Advocates focused their talks on the impact of racism on young girls and women of color, although the discussion touched on several issues facing the city, according to Joyce D. McNickles, a sociology, social justice and multicultural educator, who was present at that event.”

Awesome transparency. Ed Augustus meeting with Joyce and crew where no one could report on it. AKA – time to discuss what the next bogus non-profit will be now that Mosaic’s been assassinated by Turtleboy.

“In the afternoon, the YWCA hosted a dialogue among about 30 people. Participants, largely Worcester residents, sat around small tables and shared their experiences with racism.”

This is literally all they do. We had the Goddamn Department of Justice come to Worcester for two months straight to hold these stupid, meaningless pow wows where everyone got to share their undocumented anecdotes about racism. Doesn’t matter if the stories are true because people like Joyce McNickles want to believe it’s true. After all, without racism, she can’t make money off training seminars like this.

Discussion hot points in the afternoon talk included “intersectionality” — a concept defined by The New York Times as the way people who occupy multiple oppressed identities can be understood only in terms of their sum, rather than as a set of independent experiences.

Translation – whoever can come up with the most reasons they are oppressed wins a cookie. Because making yourself a victim is so hot with the SJW brigade these days.

Gentrification was another hot point discussed. Providence Street resident Scott Dowling said he perceives gentrification taking place around Green and Water streets. He said services are needed for that neighborhood to address violence and substance abuse, not upscale shops run by “super-fancy small businesses.”

“We don’t need more restaurants where a sandwich costs $25,” Mr. Dowling said. Canal District residents “don’t need bike lanes. … What will make these people feel loved and safe? If safety is gentrification, let’s have that.”

See this guy?

He’s a HUGE part of the problem. The canal district is one of the most important parts of Worcester’s economy. There are an abundance of nice restaurants and bars, including the Crompton Collective which hosts weddings and Bill Clinton rallies. And yes, some of them cost a little bit more money, because raising prices is how you help create a nice atmosphere. These are good things, not bad.

And what’s his problem with bike lanes? Does he want bikers to get hit by cars? Is people’s safety too gentrified for Scott Dowling? Does he think we need more 7/11’s, liquor stores, and Worcester Bling-Bling?

Hey moron, all those “super fancy” businesses like The Banner, Smokestack Urban Barbecue, Union Tavern, and the Perfect Game, aren’t financed by the city government. To the contrary, they PAY taxes to the city and revitalized a previously rundown neighborhood.

So you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about when you frame it as if the city is giving it’s limited resources to these businesses instead of “addressing violence and substance abuse” on Providence Street. And for the record, we spend a shit ton of money already addressing both of those things. Ya know, because we have police and paramedics that spend more time in that part of the city, despite the fact that residents contribute significantly less in taxes.

But wait, it gets better:

Mr. Dowling, who works in City Hall, said afterward that he was speaking only for himself and not city government.

Wait….what?? This guy works in City Hall and he’s actively opposing economic development in Worcester?

Ya know who’s on the taxpayer’s dime? It’s not the Lucky Dog, it’s Scott Dowling. Want more money for city services? Quit your job.

YWCA Director of Children Services Darlene Belliveau shared in the talks that she sees discrimination against children in the system as young as 2.

No she doesn’t. She’s literally making that up. Of course we can’t prove that anymore than she can prove it did happen. But everyone there nodded their head and said, “that’s not right.” Therefore it happened.

Jessica Morris, an assistant dean of residential living and learning at MCPHS University, said as a white woman, she hears racism more than others because she’s around white people who feel they can confide in her because of their shared skin color. She said she was shocked to once hear a white woman in the city say she didn’t enjoy the free wagon tours offered in the Canal District because there were “too many black people” on the rides.

Turtleboy hangs around a lot of white people too. Literally never heard anything remotely close to this. Seems like a pretty bold and outrageous thing for someone to say in 2016, especially in front of a white social justice warrior who is trying hard to be the good white lady that Sandra Bullock played in The Blind Side. But yea, I’m sure that’s exactly what happened. Definitely.

The discussion was also attended by Maritza Cruz, who is taking on a new position at the YWCA as director for racial and gender equity. Ms. Cruz started the job in mid-April and said she looks forward to working with a YWCA task force to address Friday’s topics.

Maritza Cruz was one of the “community activists” who organized a press conference last year to oppose police in North High School after four VP’s were punched in the face by students. Now she’s been appointed the director of “racial and gender equity,” another taxpayer funded job that no one asked for. Because these idiots have no skills so this is the type of job they depend on for employment.

Anyway, here’s Fast Eddie in another photo op showing how progressive he is:

13062523_10154134427169699_4500540228670811725_n

He would NEVER miss an event like this. Ever. But yet whenever it snows there’s a million car accidents because he can’t get the roads plowed. Because this is the kind of City Manager you get when you hire a politician instead of a manager.

P.S. Is RBG dead? Did we destroy his soul? He used to never miss events like this. Seems like he’s dropped off the face of the earth?

Double P.S. Where was WANDA? Events like this were the only thing keeping her alive. Maybe she was feeding them Asian chicks in the basement.

I kinda agree about institutionalized racism. It comes in the form of The Great Society. Government programs that created generational welfare thereby keeping poor people in their place. This Democratic run program must end if poor people ever wish to get off the system and do better for themselves. But the protesters will never say the truth. They wanna blame Trump or some imaginary other factor for their plight. I can’t see why they are complaining. They keep voting democrat and nothing has gotten better for poor people. Just worse. Personally I think the beautiful people go down the islands and the Hamptons and Aspen and laugh at their voter base. They know a bunch of suckers when they see them.

It’s the old saying: “we declared a war on poverty, and poverty won.”

Far more insidious is your deeper point, that the Democratic party created, maintains, and electorally benefits from a plantation ethic. And yes, while no one on the left ever dare say this, the truth abides. Sadly. This classist truth is undeniable.

How has 40+ years of unchallenged, uninterrupted Democratic rule worked out in Baltimore, Detroit, Newark, and on and on?

I am a fairly progressive, liberal-leaning “unenrolled” voter but I have to say I was really excited when I heard about Mariano’s plan to require some residents of subsidized housing to either get a job or go to school.

Hey, Turtleboy, how about doing a follow-up story on the progress of that program? I’m much more interested in that than where the dumpiest or most butthurt towns are.

Ugh… I had a nice comment that didn’t go through. So I will keep it simple. Gentrification is a wonderful thing! It is a real estate and local economy dream come true. There are more opportunities for investment, selling, and buying because people are more apt to invest into a neighborhood that isn’t filled with low income, “I don’t pay taxes” kind of bottom feeders.

Although I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am that I spend a lot of afternoons at Green Streets drinking establishments. But while I’ve never left my barstool to participate, I have seen the horse drawn wagon tours go by quite often and if memory serves it doesn’t really seem to be that popular with the minorities. You’ll see a more diverse crowd going apple picking; which is another activity I’d like to try, if only they could get apple trees to grow inside a bar.

Hey man even though blacks and mexicans commit more crimes, you’re not supposed to talk about it because trying to address crime is racist.

I was just conversing with my fellow white people when I was shocked to hear one say that she hated going into the city because of the negro element. The mullatoes and mestizos also had her worried. The Orientals also perplexed her. I am so glad that she confided all of these fears to me. Yeah, as a white person that is what I often hear.
