I’m reading a post on The Truth About Worcester Facebook group, in which a turtle rider posted the following:
Why do Y’all get so upset when there’s a post about addiction? It’s not as if it’s a secret. More and more terribly parented kids are drawn to drugs than ever before. Deadly ones at that! All problems start at home. It’s not rocket science to understand that shitty parents raise shitty kids……
Here’s what Worcster Magazine “reporter” Billy Buttmunch (who claims we are irrelevant but can’t stop watching our live shows, reading about our blogs, and writing about us every week so that Steve Quist has something to punch the clown to) had to say about it:
“Counter-productive.” That from a guy who comes to our court appearances dressed like the panhandling trolls who fornicate underneath the Green Street overpass.
This is the difference between us and them. We’ve come to realize something they haven’t – public shaming works. Here’s a message we got from a turtle rider yesterday that proves my point for me:
Turtleboy is 10 times more effective than rehab (get that on a t-shirt). We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – public shaming works. If the fear of becoming Turtleboy famous keeps just one person from injecting poison into their bodies, then our job is done here. This is far from the first time we received a message like this. Back when we had the Facebook page we used to get a few of these every week.
So while people like Billy Muttmuch are virtue signaling and enabling addicts to continue along a path of self-destruction in the name of the feelz, we’ll be over here saving lives and keeping people drug free.

I believe it is now confirmed Billy Shaner is (bleep)ing crazy. The fact that he posts that garbage only proves the statement is true. What is wrong with that guy? So in other words, you can’t control yourself? Your drug problem requires TB to be your watchdog? From now on, moving forward, Shaner is being removed and you will called Billy Douche, because you are a disgrace to all Shaners in your ancestral chain.
Do you stay up all night thinking “What kind of stupid shit should I post so people will like me more?”
Do you seriously think that anyone believes that (1) heroin addicts read your trash, and (2) a heroin addict gives a flying fuck what you write about him?
Maybe you can raise some money for your legal defense fund by selling the Brooklyn Bridge. Your readers seem gullible enough to buy it.

So ummm I’m the recovering heroin addict that reads their shit daily and so do most of the functioning members of society that I know. I’m also the reader that emailed them. Seriously though…. Why are you trolling the comments section if you’re such a ratchet? Don’t you have some foodstamps to sell or some baby daddy to to be stalking????

Here’s the one problem. Public shaming only works on people who have some sense of shame. The Turtle rider who sent the message (big ups to you, dude – stay clean!) obviously has some sense of self worth and morality. The vast majority of the scumbags who get profiled are bottom feeders with zero sense who are perpetually enabled by their circle of douchebag friends and family. So no matter how much we point at laugh at them, they’ll never clean up their act.
But hey – it makes for good bathroom reading.
I’ve been in recovery for over five years and i still come to this site. Are some of the things said about addicts harsh? Absolutely. But this NEEDS to happen. Today this epidemic is getting worse and if we are Mott shamed then we are enabled and THAT DOESN’T HELP ANYONE TODAY!!!!!
