People who don’t understand satire are Turtleboy’s favorite people. Yesterday we wrote a blog about the 10 most breathtaking neighborhoods in Worcester. We knew when we wrote it that people were gonna get all butthurt, because this is the type of humor that crawls right up the Spanky McFarlane type’s tailpipe. Here’s some of the commentary from people who are probably TONS of fun at parties:

Screen Shot 2015-12-18 at 10.55.33 AM

Newsflash – we bring awareness of disgusting and vile things that everyone else notices. We pointed out last year how Vernon Hill was covered in trash for the holidays. Three days later the Department of Transportation sent a crew out there to clean it up. Our negative blogs get things done while you cry about it on the Internet. Good job Interneting today sir!!

She seems like fun!!!

Screen Shot 2015-12-18 at 10.55.06 AM

Yea, it’s the fact that you don’t live in Worcester that makes you a fraud. For the rest of us we have to look at this shit every day. Sorry though. We won’t try to disturb your sheltered existence in the burbs with our pictures of reality.

Yes, Worcester does have nice areas. I’m sure a blog about clean sidewalks and freshly manicured lawns would get a lot of people’s attention.

Screen Shot 2015-12-18 at 10.53.08 AM

Newsflash – scumbags have to live somewhere. Any attempt to improve Main South is in vain. The plan for decent, hard working people who live there is to work hard and move out of there. That’s how social mobility works in America, and it’s one of the reasons America is so awesome. We have freedom and choice, and we are not stuck in a caste system for eternity.

Screen Shot 2015-12-18 at 10.52.31 AM

Of course. Now it’s Turtleboy’s job to make people feel special. Naturally. You’re right though – the decent people probably don’t wanna live there because they see the bullshit on a daily basis and know they can’t change it. They are ignored by politicians because people like Joe Petty would rather throw a fundraiser in West Tatnuck then ever spend a day in the hood, and thus their situation never improves. But the scumbags LOVE it. You think the guys hanging out at Tedeschis all day have any intention of ever leaving Main South? LOL. Why would they? Life is great!!

The bottom line is that Turtleboy is hear to spread two things – awareness and Christmas joy. Maybe city leaders will be so embarrassed now that they’ll do something to clean this shit up. But in the mean time there are thousands out there reading this right now whose day got just a little brighter because they realized other people are thinking the same exact thing they are as they drive home from work.

TB, your mistake was not highlighting blighted areas of the city, it is in expecting the government to do anything about it.

Look at upper Shrewsbury St near Mt Carmel church. That was a shithole of abandoned buildings and empty trashed parking lots on both sides of the street.

Now it is a bustling, high end area with people spending money, working and having fun. The government didn’t do that, private partied did it. The government, to its credit, got out of their way instead of thwarting them like it used to do years ago. Credit to Mike O’Brien and now Ed Augustus.

Stop asking the city to do things it obviously has failed to do for decades. That is why those areas are the way they are. Start asking the government to stick to running the police and fire departments, fixing sewers and plowing the streets, and nothing else.

Really Dave, you must mean that turtle boy was coming off of the crack bender. That would explain the MISTAKE he made originally. A mistake was made and it was later corrected. At this time the bigger error was not coming clean and posting a note admitting it. Turlteboy likes to get on others when he feels he is being wronged, such as the blog about shortcuts in the city that the T & G reporter also did a piece on. He felt tat she was guilty of using his work.
Also the pissing contest he had with GoLocal Worcester about the sign out in front of North High School. Who knows perhaps the piece was corrected because some one from Goretti’s called it to his attention. I know what I read, I know what I copied and pasted in my first comment. Also I went back to the piece to see the change after a commenter pointed out the fact that the piece now read Tedeschi’s.

Turtleboy how about you man up and admit that YOU were wrong when you used Goretti’s in your original posting. I called it to your attention in my 1:10 pm comment today. You have since corrected the article to use Tedeschi’s in place of Goretti’s. People make mistakes. wabbitt called me illiterate, I am not and I honestly don’t think he is either. You, turtleboy, on the other hand need to eat a little crow and say there was a little confusion on your part.

Worcester is on the same path as Detroit,or Chicago. But don’t worry, this new city square project will revitalize downtown, new luxury hotel and all. Only problem is to get to this area you have to lock your doors and drive through all the shitty areas to get there. I don’t remember which city it was, Detroit or Chicago, but the city actually bulldozed entire neighborhoods because they couldn’t control the murders and drug deals. My pet peeve is like another person said there is no pride. They throw trash on the ground, the yards look like shit. ” they” don’t give a shit. Plus, my wife parks in a garage when she goes to work and “they” smashed a window in her car to steal a fifteen year old radar detector. So glad I live in the burbs, in the woods. I worry about bears, not murder, drugs, trash in the neighborhood ect.

That is a trick question in the poll. There is no worst neighborhood in Worcester. The entire place is the worst. It is nothing but a pit of trash and despair. I’d rather be from Youngstown OH.

Positivity is absurd. We live in a time in which positivity is all around us. Just because someone has an outlet to reach thousands and influence them in a positive way doesn’t mean he has too. Do you think there’s a news channel out there with positive news ? No ! This guy needs to get page views not make people happy.

I’m so glad I moved out of Worcester. I like Worcester. I lived there most of my life. But I sure as hell don’t miss it. And wow! I’ve gotta tell ya. That second Facebook Butthurts Whiner, above – A whole Turtle Boy article can be written about that fraudulent, thieving, bitch. I hope shit catches up to her. And I hope someday, all those people she scammed get to laugh last.

We have plenty wrong with this city and it’s gotten worse because we’ve allowed it to. Turtleboy drawing attention to the negative is a way to get people angry enough to want to organize and do something to fix the issue. If we don’t focus on the bad now how much worse will it get in 5 years from now, 10 years from now? What kind of summer did we just have compared to 20 years prior?

Further, had turtleboy it not existed who would show this side of the city? This city needs a counterbalance in how it’s portrayed without which we’d continue to only receive onsided, wholly inaccurate statements such as “the city is safe” among others.

You think the guys hanging out at Goretti’s all day have any intention of ever leaving Main South? LOL. Why would they? Life is great!! Help me out Turtleboy, exactly where in Main South or the city for that matter is there a Goretti’s Super Market. There is one in Millbury and there use to be one in Cherry Valley just over the line, but that closed year’s ago. Their own website only lists the Millbury store.

Two thumbs down on the matter of if there is a Goretti’s Super Market in Main South. Okay would either of you care to tell everyone exactly where it is?

I grew up on Vernon Hill. I’m disgusting when I visit my old neighborhood. The reason it’s gone down hill is not due to absent landlords, it’s due to people that rent there (many paid for by public assistance and still ungrateful and trash the places). The once safe neighborhood of immigrants (Irish, French, Police, etc) have been taken over by a new set of immigrants – YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE – that are simply non-contributing burdens of society.

Thank your favorite Democrat & Liberal.

I lived in Worcester all my life, had an official Voke stache… Currently looking for a house in surrounding town, it’s not that Worcester does not have nice areas but the byproduct of what you see on those pictures ends up all over the city tarnishing it as a whole. The people in these areas have no self respect or pride in where they live and that trait gets passed down to generation by generation. You may live in a nicer area of Worcester but your kids are still going to school with kids from those areas. This is why younger families are moving out of Worcester.

Sad to say, beyond repair, beyond fixing. Maybe at one time, earlier on, but now, it’s too late. Cities die. That’s a fact. So too Worcester.

I’m amazed my kids survived Worcester Public Schools but of course then they got out, never to return. Who would.

I will forever be grateful if the city cleaned up Main South. Been here since 1999, I don’t see it getting better, I only see if getting worse. When my kids were younger, I tried so hard to believe that I was making an impact on cleaning up this neighborhood. What an epic failure that was. Seriously, I am one that is trying my hardest to move out of this City…instead of renovating buildings, they should be spending money on renovation the neighborhood. Working 2 jobs still isn’t enough to pick up and move on. Thank you for opening up a can of worms…not that it will do any good.
