So some turtle riders have alerted us to the fact that every post on their Facebook page now comes with a prompt from Facebook asking users if the post contains hate speech:

Look, I hate whatever those green things are just as much as the next guy. But that doesn’t mean it’s “hate speech.” Remember, when Senator Ben Sasses asked Mark Zuckerberg point blank what hate speech was, Zuckerberg had no idea what the correct answer was:

Because there is no answer. Because hate speech is a figment of your imagination. It doesn’t exist. It’s completely up to the individual what they deem to be hate speech. And in no way, shape, or form should Facebook be trying to prevent “hate speech” on their platform.

They’re doing it to literally every single post for some people:

Why are they asking you this? The answer is clear as day – NO, this adorable hedgehog is NOT hate speech:

So then why are they giving people the opportunity to falsely report it as hate speech? They’re not just giving you that opportunity, they are encouraging you to take action. They’re putting it right in your face under every post.

It’s like they’re trying to destroy everything they’ve worked so hard to create. Remember when Facebook was fun? When you went on there, saw some things you liked, some things you didn’t, and then went about your day? Yea, they’re trying to eliminate that. These are the people they are attempting to appease:

Anyone who thinks this isn’t a bad thing is a complete and utter moron. And this is who Facebook is now catering to. This woman chronicles the “alt right” in a newsletter for a living. She exists to label anything that she disagrees with as “alt right” and “hate speech.” She thinks this is a good idea. That’s all you need to know.

Facebook does not have the capability of preventing hate speech, even if they could define it. Why? Because there are 2 billion users and allegedly only 7,500 content moderators. You do the math. They are literally URGING people to hit “yes” for anything they don’t like. Do you think an actual human being content is going to make an informed decision about whether or not each of these links is hate speech? That would be mathematically impossible. They’d have to employ millions of people if they wanted each post reported for “hate speech” to be evaluated fairly.

Instead it will be done by robots. A problem we’ve been dealing with for over two years now:

Now others are starting to feel our pain, and eventually they’ll have to cut this shit out, right?

This one really peeved me:

Notice it is a sponsored post. That means Aerie paid Facebook, likely tens of thousands of dollars for their posts to appear in people’s news feeds so they could attract more customers. Sponsored posts like this already go through an approval process, and clearly it’s OK’d since we’re seeing it. And yet they are giving the mob the opportunity to attack this paying customer.

How is this not a bigger deal with the media? This one was from WMUR:

A news station. How do they feel about the fact that Facebook is encouraging me to report them for hate speech? How do they not consider this newsworthy?

This is where government regulation should come in. Facebook is free for some, but people like us pay for it because we have no other options. When you are a paying customer the business has an obligation to provide you with the service you paid for. By allowing ENCOURAGING mobs to report “hate speech” by clicking on a yes button presented directly to them, they make it easier for people like Didi Delgado and Kevin Lynch to take down PAYING BUSINESS PAGES they don’t like. In the real world if a company stole money from companies like this they’d be investigated and regulated by the Fair Trade Commission and the Attorney General. Because it’s criminal.

Here’s an idea Facebook – go back to what made your company so successful in the first place. You created a brilliant free speech platform that allows people to communicate in ways that were never possible before. And now, in the name of protecting people’s feelings, you are encouraging whiny losers to cut off this communication. It’s really simple, if you see something you don’t like, block that person or page. If you see something illegal (human trafficking, drug dealing) call the cops. These features have always existed, and Facebook was just fine the way it was.

Instead it looks like they’re hell bent on hading over their billion dollar industry to Kevin Lynch and Didi Delgado.

The hedgehog photo isn’t hate speech. It should be taken down though.

All it is, is a tribute to Ron “The HedgeHog” Jeremy. He’s had a couple of bad months after being accused of sexual assault. The photo is nothing more than a dog whistle for his supporters.
Try posting a picture of Pepe the frog and see where that gets you.

Or, it’s just a photo of a hedgehog. I’m not a FB member. I’m tempted to join up just to answer yes to the hedgehog photo just because. It symbolizes the degradation of women because it is a secret symbol for Ron Jeremy.

TB , I still don’t know why you think you need FaceBook other than on principal. I go to google and enter turtle boy and you are the #1 hit. How is that any slower than FaceBook?

Are people that lazy? I would hate to have a legit site on FB with legit non-controversial photos and have to endure that question.

I sometimes look at a bit of some FB pages. I usually quickly give up. They all look really bad like they were created by no talents whose only learning came from FaceBook for Dummies.

A business says “Like us on FaceBook!!!” Fuck you, I’m here for some info.

Hate speech is simply an invention of the left to stifle opposing opinions. And to some degree, they are succeeding. Scary stuff.
