Landlords get a really bad reputation because too often they’re portrayed by the media as being money hungry slumlords who don’t take care of their properties. And there are certainly plenty of shitty landlords out there. But most are just taxpayers trying to make ends meet while dealing with some of the scummiest people society has to offer. Too often these idiots yell and scream about nonsense, destroy other people’s property, don’t pay their rent, and then hide behind their kids so they don’t get evicted. It’s all legal, but they still deserve a public shaming and that’s exactly what the turtle is here to do.

Sue Franco Pereira is a landlord in Fall River, so you can imagine the clientele she deals with. I’m sure most are great people, but it’s not exactly a secret that the Riv has no shortage of EBT-Rex’s and foodstampapotamuses:

So the previous tenants were Kerri Carreiro, Luis Carreiro, and their children. And this is the mess they left behind in their Fall River apartment:

I don’t even wanna know what that is on the toilet or how it gets like that. But it looks like the throne at the Castle de Trigglypuff on Moe’s night.

Then there’s the mirror and sink:

The fridge:

The bedrooms:

A VCR and a tube TV. What century were these ratchimals living in?

Jesus fuck!! Did they light that mattress on fire? And are they really using a mattress for a boxspring?

Here’s the living room:

I can’t even imagine the love juices that are seeped into that couch’s upholstery.

Here’s the office:

Oh good, they let behind their 1998 Dell computer, which no doubt shuts down immediately when you turn it on because when they went to porn sites that they trusted they just couldn’t resist the urge to click on a video from a mystery site they’ve never heard of before.

Here’s another bedroom:

Good thing they took those bureau drawers with them. And I’m not sure where they’re moving, but I’m glad to see that wherever it is the kids will not longer need beds.

Check out the dining room:

Glad to see they’ve taken care of the blinds.

Here’s the kitchen:

And another bedroom:

So…..did they just start over? They left behind pretty much everything. Mattresses, clothes, furniture, etc. Where could they possibly be going?

Gotta love posts like this where the ratchets complain about other people being the ratchet ones. Newsflash lady – the neighborhood wasn’t nearly as bad until you moved in. If you’re really living in the country now, property value around you just plummeted.

By the looks of Kerri’s Facebook page they have a gaggle of children, one of whom is an adult and has the most amazing voke-stache I’ve ever seen:

The guy on the left is Luis, the Dad.

And this is Mom Kerri:

They deserve to be publicly shamed for not only leaving their apartment in this condition, but allowing children to live there for so long. Just look at the filth on the mattresses. They let kids sleep on those things.

These people affect others too. This makes it harder for decent people to find a place to live because trust has been eroded. Maybe the landlord has to raise rent on the next person to cover the costs. Just remember this the next time someone whines about slumlords. Yes, there are slumlords out there. But they’re vastly outnumbered but slugpump renters.

P.S. Legal experts everywhere:

Double P.S. – It all makes sense now.

Just a guess (a hopeful one at that) on the mystery toilet stains – it could be from using a bleach cleaner on the black finish. Not that I think they used it often, judging by the state of the rest of the place that is…

If they are living in the country now, it is probably in a mobile home.

I seriously hope that the error in the judgement papers don’t come back to haunt the landlord here…That would suck , but it’s going to be nearly impossible for the landlord to collect a single penny anyway. If you look at the bottom in bold print where it says MONEY JUDGMENT; WE COMMAND YOU, in that paragraph it says “twenty years”. Scum tenants like these are sure ti pick that up and use it to their advantage…especially with a lawyer. I know it’s a “typo”, but it’s also a legal document….P.S. I probably just brought it to their attention!

Agreed. In NH if you get a settlement and they fail to pay, a bench warrant can be issued after a hearing for periodic payments. Once they locate them, be it getting pulled over for a simple traffic stop, etc, they are immediately brought to jail. The bail paid to get out goes directly to you. You’ll keep having to go through this process until the balance is satisfied. Not sure how this is handled in MA.

This is an example of why landlord-tenant laws need to be changed. First of all, it is nearly impossible to get rid of a bad tenant before they trash the place. Secondly, if you have a feeling that they are going to be slobs or deadbeats or into drugs, you can’t deny them tenancy based upon how you personally size them up, even if you are a good judge of character.

While I feel for the landlord in this situation, I have had far worse happen: holes punched in walls, cabinet doors broken in two, an entire trashbag filled with dirty disposable diapers, broken windows, broken sinks, entire rooms filled with furniture/mattresses/clothing that can’t be handled without wearing a MOPS suit, etc. And all of that was from a couple of junkie ratchets with false references and 3 kids.

People who do this need to be publicly shamed.

And look: most of us small landlords are just trying to pay mortgages and maybe make a few bucks due to property value increases a few years down the road. Shit, I’ve had tenants where I’ve looked the other way when they couldn’t come up with the rent because the main breadwinner had major surgery…but they were good, non-ratchets who helped rake leaves, cut the lawn, shovel, etc.

People who do this to an apartment (and keep in mind that they were fucking LIVING this way) ruin things for everyone and should be forced to live under a bridge.

I feel for you. I had one tenant do nearly $100K in damage to a house and the fucking liberal DEMOCRAT Housing Court told me I had no recourse. Fucking white trash.

New tenants were shown the business end of a .45 and rent has been on time ever since, no damage. Peaceful!

Somehow the previous assholes have IRS troubles…. just a suggestion…
