Good guys with guns in Worcester are shooting bad guys without guns like it’s going out of style…..

Armed Robbery Suspect Shot by Clerk after Placing Knife up to Customer

On Saturday, May 26, 2017, at approximately 8:40 PM, Worcester Police responded to 49 Vernon Street for a report of a male lying on a sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds. First responding officers observed Worcester EMS treating a 26-year-old male that was suffering from three gunshot wounds. The wounds appear to be non-life threatening. Police were told that the EMS crew was just driving by when they observed the male on the sidewalk.

Police were told that the male that was shot had just attempted to rob the No Name store at knife point and was shot by the clerk. Inside the store were the clerk and two witnesses. Police observed a large knife on the counter of the store. Police learned that the male suspect, Juan Ahorrio, 26-years-old of 91 Perry Ave, entered the store carrying the knife. Mr. Ahorrio went up behind one of two female’s customer that was in the store and placed his arm that was holding the knife around her neck. Fearing for the customer’s safety the clerk produced his personal firearm. At this time the customer fell to the ground. With the customer out of the way the clerk fired three rounds at the suspect. The suspect was hit and dropped the knife. The suspect then ran out the store. The clerk chased after the suspect and ordered him to the ground. The clerk ran back into the store to check on the customers. Worcester EMS arrived at this time and began to treat the suspect for his wounds.

WPD detectives responded to the scene as well as members of the Crime Scene Unit. All three were interviewed by detectives. The clerk and the two female customers were not hurt. Detectives confiscated the weapon and the clerk’s license to carry while the investigation continues. Mr. Ahorrio was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (knife), Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (knife), and Armed Assault with the Intent to Rob. Mr. Ahorrio’s booking procedure was conducted at the hospital during treatment. His arraignment will be based on when he is released from the hospital. This investigation remains active, additional charges may follow as the investigation progresses.

If you have a “EBT WIC,” “LOTTERY,” and “PHONE CARDS” signs on the front of your store with pictures of a bunch of vaporizers, chances are you’re gonna get stabbed inside. That’s just science.

The only time I’ve ever noticed this store is when I’m stuck in traffic on Vernon Hill, waiting for that God awful light at the 290 exit. Which is every time I drive on Vernon Street. And I would never, ever consider stepping foot in that store, largely because I would imagine there’s a good chance a knife wielding crackhead could barge in at any moment.

Second time it’s happened in Worcester in the last month. This happened a couple weeks ago off Mill Street when a retired cop saw someone trying to break into his house and shot him….

This is the kind of violence in Worcester I can get behind. Does he deserve the death penalty for trying to rob a convenience store? Nope. But you play with fire and get burnt. If you try to rob a store, break into someone’s house, or put a knife to a woman’s throat, there should be a risk involved. And since the courts won’t punish them they’re really not risking much.

But now thanks to these two freedom loving mofos the risk is your life. If it’s worth it to die then by all means continue being a criminal. But if you want to live, then try obeying the law and it shouldn’t be an issue.

Of course the most outrageous part about this story is that the clerk at the store had to surrender his weapon and LTC for exercising his rights into some shitbags torso. Now everyone in the hood knows he’s unarmed. I don’t blame the cops for this, because I never blame the police for doing their job. I blame these insane laws that punish law-abiding citizens for using their legal property to do exactly what they purchased it to do.

Here’s my question – if he has more guns, does he have to give them all up? If not it seems like the perfect example to the age-old question of “what do you need all those guns for?” And this is coming from a guy who doesn’t own a gun and hasn’t fired one since Treasure Valley. As a matter of fact, I don’t think any bloggers at Turtleboy are actual gun owners. So that kind of kills the “Turtleboy is a gun nut” narrative. We just don’t shed a tear when shitbags get shot in the course of being shitbags.

If you go in with a weapon trying to force an idea…you deserve to die. (idea = robbing)

Now can we just build the goddam wall? I’ll chip in for some range time for Mr. Storeclerk too. If only he were a bit better shot, we could been rid of one more welfare-collecting spic parasite. Let’s hope that one of the shots hit him in the balls so he can’t make more spiclets.

If the story ended with “His mouth was taped shut and he was prohibited from speaking pending further investigation…” Maybe then the anti 2nd Amendment crowd would begin to understand this argument…

“Detectives confiscated the weapon and the clerk’s license to carry while the investigation continues.” Hopefully Mr Ahorrio’s friends aren’t in the mood for revenge. The police disarmed the shopowner. I wonder if the Worcester PD took away the Mill Street retired cop’s weapon and LTC while they investigated that shooting?

Nobody “needs” guns…except to shoot drug addled dirtbags that try to rob you.

Give this beautiful clerk the key to the city. My guess is somewhere behind that counter a 12 gauge also resides so no worry that his LTC piece is under lockdown for now. I sincerely hope that those 3 bullets caused excruciating, blinding pain to Mr. Robber. A+ work, No Name Grocery II!

The unfortunate fact of this story is the perp lived, which means he’ll hire a personal injury lawyer and sue the crap out of the clerk and the store owner.

    Double-tap, center mass.

One less “witness” to worry about, ya know?

The clerk is probably going to go to prison when Maura gets done with him. Fearing for a customer’s life is not the same as fearing for your own (hence castle doctrine may not apply) and we all know how libs hate the concept of “self help”.

Some Federal departments avoid using the term “double-tap” and instead use the term “controlled pairs” to avoid hurting feelings. It may be advantageous to adopt the term, too.

If he had to surrender his LTC then he can transfer his weapons to somebody else with a permit or turn them in to police with ammunition. In Texas he would get the Daniel Boone Profiles in Real Courage Award. In mass you’re f’d, the only reason the second armed citizen isn’t up on a pile of charges is bc he is a retired cop and even then it barely saves him. He may yet face charges.

Armed robbery should be a capital offense as should car theft. It would happen less often.

BTW I spotted an “immigrant’ on one of those ride sharing yellow bicycles this morning funny how the rear lock part was all busted off. Again should be a capital offense.

Actually, he can’t legally transfer any rifles or firearms if his LTC is revoked. Question is – did they just take it (which the cops have absolutely NO right, legal or otherwise, to do) or is it revoked (which can only be done by the chief that signed his license?

Actually you can have somebody else with a permit hold the weapons. Not transferred in a registered ownership sense simply placed in another permit holders custody. Seen it many times. Police make one call to issuing authority and get the ok to take permit, it’s legal.
