We here at Turtleboy Sports encourage reader participation. If you know of some bullshit going in the world and wanna let it all out in a good TBSports rant, then do what this guy did and send me an email. If it’s angry enough and filled with hot takes then we’ll publish it. This guy is PISSED at the worst organization known to humanity – the MIAA. And rightfully so. Here it is….

You think Saturday is Dec. 6?  Nope. Is it Super Bowl/State Championship Saturday for Massachusetts high school football. Perhaps, but not really.  It’s Christmas and the gifts will be flowing. And, if you want to watch your kids, students, neighbors or nephews play football, you can thank yourself for the gift.

Christmas for the MIAA, the most useless collection of carpet-baggers since the useless collection of carpet baggers that blocked the streets to show you that either cops are mean.

Saturday’s MIAA championship games at Gillette Stadium are – ready for this? – $17 for adults and $14 for students.  That’s how much it will cost you to go watch HIGH SCHOOL football at a Stadium donated by the Kraft family.

For a family of four, you’re looking at more than $60 to watch some teenagers play football. That 60 bucks could fill your gas tank twice, get you about six tickets to the Worcester Sharks, 40 dogs at Coney Island.  If you’re an 18-year-old  Beverly High lacrosse player it could buy you some nice cigars to celebrate graduation.

The MIAA is pointing out that $2.55 of that cost is a Foxboro-imposed local surcharge. These guys are not only efficient and necessary, they’re also looking to cut you a deal. Merry Christmas.

Devil’s Advocate for one minute – Maybe you’re going to watch all six games, so that’s actually a great deal.  Look, if you’re watching all six Super Bowl games you’re either a really old guy (which is cool, I guess), a regular weirdo or some sort of a Level 3 weirdo, if you smell what I’m stepping in.  Ain’t nobody sitting in the rain to watch kids they don’t know.

Why has nobody from the media questioned this?  Do the MIAA henchman scare them away?  Or, is it because the Patriots – again, not the MIAA – put on a nice spread for the media and treat them all like they’re Peter King or Chris Berman for the day?

I would call the Foxboro police and report an attempted robbery, but some kids at Clark told me not to because all cops are oppressors and would just beat me and trample on my civil rights, anyway.

Editor’s Note: That’s some solid hate right there. As for his question as to why the media doesn’t question this, it’s because they’re gutless and boring. Turtleboy Sports has questioned the MIAA time and time again. That’s why you’re insane if you’re getting your news from anywhere but the Turtle.

The only ones to question the MIAA have been Gardner Mayor Mark Hawke (when the high school overlords stole the Gardner Swim Team’s trophy 2 years ago) and Leominster Mayor Dean Mazarella who was incensed this year that the MIAA were given use of Doyle Field for regional football playoffs, but would not allow local access television from Fitchburg (FATV) to televise the game, as they have done for at least 15 years.

Instead of free local access TV, that is broadcast in both cities, fans, parents, and the infirm who may not have been able to get to Doyle Field had the privilege of paying $10 to the MIAA to watch the game. That’s right. The MIAA got the field for free but charge people to watch what they had been getting for free all year.

I want to know how much it costs the MIAA to produce the broadcasts? I know damn well they are not using professional TV people or professional broadcast equipment.

The MIAA is extorting money from parents. It is a rotten, corrupt, secretive organization that would make Billy Bulger blush and his brother proud. It’s about time someone held them accountable and exposed them for what they are; useless bullies.

Do any of these collected funds go back to the schools? Do any of that cash go to say help with repairing fields, getting new lights, etc? That would really help with a lot of smaller school budgets.
