Meet David Goss, a halfway house resident and noble philanthropist from the Boston area.
Definitely sober you guys, and totally stable.
David has been filling up his Facebook account and free time with posts claiming to be working, and raising money for, an organization called “Recovery Boston,” which, despite apparently not existing according to an online search, you should totally trust and send “at least 1 dollar” to.
God will reward me, you say? Seems legit. I think it’s a splendid idea to send my hard earned money to this David Goss fellow with Google trophies going back to 2007 for theft and other criminal charges.
Especially because the address he is urging you to send donations of at least a dollar to, in his name, happens to be the Victory House in Boston,
a halfway house where according to the $100,000 GoFundMe he just put up, David is a resident of.
“My name is DAVID I’m today living in a halfway house, in Boston MASSACHUSETS, and I’m looking for FINACIAL SUPPORT for RECOVERING ADDICTS that face the struggles moving forward from halfway houses to three quarter house or sober house see some of us face serious FINACIAL DIFFICULTIES with out any family support or SUPPORT from the community, today I myself struggle the same way, on Sept 28th I woke up in a hospital a victim of a violent attack so I’ve been RECOVERING from that taking it easy for the best of my own life. So I’m trying to pave the way to support ADDICTS with the same difficulties, and not just anyone will be available for a grant RECOVERY BOSTON IS offering they would have to be very serious in there mission to remain clean and sober, and then we will gift them a 8 week EXTENTION from a halfway house to sober living, in the community, and provide 8 weeks of payment to the sober house for them. So there RECOVERY has more time to take off some member after 6 months treatment are sent back to the streets and relapse over the stress caused bye this FINACIAL BURDEN, and today I’m creating hope and treatment further in RECOVERY by using the money given bye supporters to help continue someone’s battle in SOBRIETY please find KINDNESS in your hearts I’m sure God has a great REWARD for caring hearts, many ADDICTS are dying with another chance to recover let’s make it not our choice to donate to save someone’s life in RECOVERY and make it our duty to due so, recovery real and difficult so preparing someone’s life to move forward is the greatest gift we can give, help SUPPORT this cause God loves you as I do also thank you for your concern and time and let’s gift the deserving rent for 2 months in further treatment and help people recover from this disease of addiction. It’s real and deadly. I’m sure we all can say we know someone that lost some one to the war on drugs, send your love and support and help……”
Seems legit. Lots of nonprofits ask that you send donations directly to one of the residents at their halfway house with a lengthy criminal history related to theft. Especially ones who, like David, haven’t quite gotten around to the some minor little details of working a recovery program yet, like getting a sponsor or regularly attending meetings.
It’s you, Dave. The “recovering addict” you’re trying to raise money for is you. Just be honest already. Jesus.
But, good news, ladies! This unemployed, drug-addled thief accepting donations for a non-existent non-profit organization sent straight to his halfway house address is single, and ready to mingle!
Not creepy at all. What a catch!
