Earlier today we published this blog about a Hampshire College senior named Rody Lipson who raised over $11,000 to build a tiny house for imaginary Syrian refugees, and then got busted when we found him trying to sell it on Craig’s List for $10,000.

This scam artist got all this coverage from the local media when he was building this house to fight back against Trump, but where were they now? How come no one had followed up on this story? Well, a couple hours after we exposed him Masslive did this:

No citation. No mention of the turtle. Guess they just randomly decided to follow up on this on their own. LOL. Why do they even bother? Everyone knows where they saw it first. It just makes them look sad and pathetic how far out of their way they go to act like they didn’t completely rip us off. And this is the kind of blowback they get:

Sad.

The only thing worse than this Facebook walk of shame was how far they went out of their way to let this shitstain cover up his crimes:

The project didn’t end quite how he envisioned, but the Hampshire College student who was building a tiny house for refugees thinks the outcome is even better. Rody Lipson, who finishes school next month, ran out of both money and time to finish the house he was building with the hope of giving to Syrian refugees.

Wait….what? He ran out of time? It’s November 2. The school year ends in May. And if this is his senior thesis, does that mean he gets a failing grade for not doing it? Oh wait, it’s Hampshire College. They don’t have grades. It’s almost as if when you don’t incentivize things people don’t do shit.

So instead, the Great Barrington native posted the house on Craigslist for $10,000. He will sell it and donate proceeds to Ascentria Care, which has an office in Westfield. Ascentria was formerly Lutheran Services and provides services all over New England.

Oh, so NOW he’s decided to announce he’s donating it to Ascentria Care. The ad has been on Craig’s List for 10 days:

I must’ve missed the press conference for when he announced that. Because he sure sought out the media to let them know he was giving a house away to Syrian refugees. But he decided to keep this one on the down low with a Craig’s List ad. Wonder why? The best part is how Masslive just kind of, took him at his word. Think they’ll ask to see a check to the charity after he sells the house? Nope. It’s almost like the mainstream media is full of incompetent boobs who don’t ask the tough questions that their readers are thinking.

He said the money from the sale “could be used for more traditional housing that would be more helpful (for refugees.)” He said he cleared about $9,000 in fund-raising to build the house but it would cost about $11,000 more to finish. “I wanted to have solar panels. That stuff’s expensive.”   He wanted to install a composting toilet as well. He spent $5,000 on the trailer for the house, more than $2,000 on materials and $2,000 for the class in Connecticut that helped him frame it. And besides money, since it’s his senior project, he said has to devote time to research. “I’m doing research on the topic of environmentally friendly houses.”

First of all, he’s raised over $11K, not “about $9,000.”

Secondly, did all the people who donated money know that it would be going to a charity they’ve never heard of before? Because I’m pretty sure when they forked over the cash they thought it was going to a Syrian family of four.

Thirdly, shouldn’t he have made sure he had enough funding before he started building? Or maybe kept sharing the GFM until he had enough cash to finish the job?

Here’s what really happened. He said he was building a tiny house for refugees because as a white male at Hampshire College he has to do something to prove that he’s one of the “good ones.” It felt really good because he got to say a bunch of buzzwords and talk shit about Trump. Then he realized it was a lot of work and he wanted to sit around in his dorm and take bong rips with two transgender chicks who don’t shave their armpits instead. So he gave up, tried to make $10K off of it, and hoped no one noticed.

But unfortunately for him he forgot that Turtleboy is everywhere and we are always watching.

Looks like the Retard Matt Damon, hope the Syrian “refugees” run him over with the trailer something Syrian Refugees and Muslims are very good at. Don’t worry about him pocketing 20k or whatever cashola he’ll shoot up and be dead before graduation, fuck him.

Masslive to the rescue. Another virtue signalling SJW saved from a public scolding.

I’m not too familiar with Masslive as I don’t live in the area, but it could also be that this Hampshire Honkey called up Masslive himself after he read TB. desperate to counter the evil TB narrative that he’s as crooked as a Congressman.

He framed the exterior walls with 2×4’s. What does he plan on insulating it with, hundreds of dead starved Ethiopian bodies? I’m sure that will give him a great R value.

There is no fucking way that fucking clam shack meets any acceptable occupancy building codes accept maybe in the Kalahari.

Rody claimed that the “studs [were] placed 16 inches on center”. That’s, like, one part of the code…

The kid could have apprenticed in a trade instead of whatever Hampshire College produces.

This confused stoner douche on a construction or industrial site????? The union steward would escort him off the property and call him a cab with his own money for this dopes own safety.

When you’re son is a fool and you have buku cash to insulate him/her from the rigors of society, send the little darling to Hampshire College to play make-believe for 4 or 5 or 6 years.

He raised $11,000, but is going to sell it for less. Who is going to make up the difference? Also, is he going to take the tax deduction for the donation he makes to charity, which is basically someone else’s money.

Sounds like a crappy college with losers attending.

By my math, he spent $9000, the 55% of which went for the trailer. That leaves a net pocket gain of $2000 this far. Add in the $10k he’s selling it for & he’s got enough for a bale of premium ganga.
