The Boston Bruins have pissed me off to no end this season. They basically annoucned at the beginning of the season that they didn’t give a shit after letting Jarome Iginla and Johnny Boychuk go for a bag of pucks. But then they win five in a row, lose six in a row all season long. And worst of all – they’ve put me in a position where I not only have no choice BUT to root for the Buffalo Sabres, they’ve put me in a position where I NEED a team from Buffalo to win a game in order for the Bruins to get to the playoffs. This is what rock bottom feels like. This is what it feels like to be a Bills fan.
I can’t stop thinking about that Calgary loss in the middle of the season. If they win that game like they should then I’m not in a position where I have to root for Buffalo.
Right as I started typing this the Penguins scored. Jesus Christ Buffalo, remember when we threw you a bone and let you beat us in a meaningless week 17 game? You can’t hook us up? Look, I understand your team purposely lost a million games this season so you could get the first pick in the draft. Your own fans have been cheering for whoever the other team is for the last month and a half. But in case you didn’t get the memo – the mission is accomplished. The tank was successful:

No way. Cherelli and Neely didnt make any moves to better this team. They botched the Sequin trade. He let Iggy walk. Didnt get shit for Kessel. Boychuk? Shawn Thorton? Let all those guy go but keeps the bottom of the barrel old and slow guys? This sint 1980 anymore. Ruff and tuff, slow and steady doesnt win shit in todays NHL.
Very few of our young guys seem to be very promising. I like Pastrank, Hamilton and even Spooner showed flashes.
We are just too old all over the ice. Kelly is 34, Campbell (as much as I love his grit) is 31 and had an absolute shit season, Chara was toast 2 years ago, Talbot? what did he do this yr? Gimme a break.
An Claude drives me nuts with his erratic line changes. One night Campbell gets 22 minutes in a win. We need to wins the next to to get in. Claude “healthy scratches” Campbell the next game…. If he was so great to platy 22, who not any the next game? WTF Claude? That and Claude rarely plays the younger guys even when its 5-0.
So very frustrating.
