We were gonna send someone down to cover the Department of Justice meeting yesterday at Belmont AME Zion Church, but we realized that we already knew everything that people were gonna say, since this discussion was about police relations with the public. We predicted that it would be a bunch of people saying, “This one time I got pulled over by the cops because I am not white.” The problem with this is that nothing productive can come from it. I don’t know you, so I don’t know if that story is true or not.

But more importantly there are two sides to every story. How do I know you were pulled over because of the color of your skin? Is the police officer who pulled you over here to defend his honor and reputation? Nope. So it’s just you telling your anecdotes at this point. How do I know you didn’t have an expired registration, or an overdue inspection sticker, or a taillight out? I’m just supposed to take your word that you were pulled over for no reason except for your skin color?

Right on cue I read about what transpired last night and I saw local hippie Joe Corazzini had this to say:

Mr. Corazzini said just recently he was walking out of a Whole Foods when “a woman behind me gives me ‘the look.’ That slight look of surprise when he approaches is something he’s gotten used to, and he said over the years he developed workarounds to try to avoid “the look.” He said he will sing a song, perhaps, or jingle his keys in his pocket. Something to alert people to his presence.

This is Joe Corazzini:

That right there is a sharp looking guy. When I see him, I think to myself, “That guy’s probably pretty succesful. I bet he’s got a nice house in Grafton.” I certainly don’t think, “Better keep an eye on that guy. He’s biracial.” And neither does anyone else.

So a woman behind you gave you “the look.” OK. Now what? Do you have any evidence of this? Because ever since Junior Smokeshow Protester Sonya Conner said “It wasn’t me” at the Kelley Square blockade, I’ve come to be skeptical of hippie tall tales. Is this woman from Whole Foods here to defend herself and tell her side of the story? What exactly was “the look?” How do I know that this woman doesn’t just have an ugly face, or was squinting her eyes to look at something? How do I know she wasn’t looking at something behind Joe C?

Oh that’s right, we don’t know any of those things. All we have is the word of a guy who has been one of the leaders of this whole anti-cop rhetoric from day one. And that is why this entire meeting was a gigantic waste of time.

As a matter of fact we’ve heard from Joe Corazzini before. He sent us a letter threatening to sue us back in January after a picture of his daughter appeared on our blog. Many have claimed they were going to sue us, but this guy actually put it on a letterhead and sent it in the mail:

mnvwk

The words are kind of small so I will sum it up for you. He is using his 14 year old daughter as a pawn in his anti-police game. Joyce McNickles, made a hilarious must see video back in January:

Joe C’s daughter was featured in this video right around the 2:50 mark. Once again, this video was uploaded to Youtube, the third most trafficked website in the WORLD, by Joyce McNickles, not Turtleboy. They willingly put the image of a 14 year old girl with her mouth taped shut on the Internet, and now they’re mad that her face appeared in a Turtleboy Sports blog.

We showed this letter to a couple lawyers in our legal department and they laughed at it. They said it’s the work of a guy who thinks he’s smarter than he really is, and is simply trying to come across as lawerly. You do not need anyone’s consent to use an image you screenshot from a Youtube video. Obviously. Did we need the consent of those lovely women who got into that Indiana Walmart fight the other day? Nope. Because once it’s on Youtube it no longer belongs to you. It belongs to the world.

More importantly, if you don’t like the fact that your daughter’s face is being brought into this, I don’t blame you at all. You might want to talk to your girl Joyce McNickles, since she exploited your daughter for her personal gain by using it in that Youtube video. If you consented to put her face on there, then that’s on you Daddy-o.

Anyway, we decided to be the bigger man and took her picture down anyway. Everyone who writes for us has kids, so we understand how it would make a father feel to see his kid in a Turtleboy Sports blog. But at the same time, maybe you should stop using your kid as a political prop if you don’t want her picture to appear on the Internet. That might help.

So no, I can’t simply take the word of a guy who pretends to be a lawyer and thinks the Internet is a private forum for hippies to make videos. I don’t believe he got “the look” at Whole Foods. I think he’s making it all up in order to dramatize his point that Worcester is filled with racists. I challenge him to provide ANY sort of proof that he has ever been targetted by the police simply because of the color of his skin. Once we can identify who these imaginary racist police officers are in Worcester, we can take appropriate action against them. Until then it’s just a bunch of hippie anecdotes.

As I get older these people are becoming more amusement instead of raising my blood pressure and anger level. What amazes me with the entire crew is they never focus on real problems facing Minorities you know Jobs, Education, Businesses, Crime. It’s much easier to play the race game and Racebait every issue.

A product of bad parenting. It really all centers around that fact. No respect for how this world works is behavior either learned purposely or by negligence. Or maybe even be a little bit of both and it is sad. It doesn’t take all that much to be successful and happy. Having your head on straight is probably step one.

Maybe this imaginary woman was wondering why the guy in front of her turned back to look at her. Or, since he said he was approaching her…she was probably wondering why a strange man was walking backwards.

Maybe he sent carrying his own re-usable shopping bag, so he got “the look.”

I just did an investigation… The reason he got the look, after contacting the said woman, was because he had the audacity to buy only one half pound of Kale! CAN YOU BELEIVE HIS GALL!

Next time your driving look at the car in front of you and try to figure out what race the person is, it’s nearly impossible unless they happen to be driving a convertible. Then take a look at cars coming in the opposite direction, you can’t see the race of the driver until you are nearly next to them . Unless cops have some sort of super vision I don’t understand how the can pull people over for race.

Try not driving like a moron and maybe you won’t get pulled over

That “look” couldnt possibly be someone trying to figure out what the fuck is hanging from your chin right? I mean, its not a beard and not quite a squirrel’s tail…

Look in the mirror dude. Cut that disater you have growing on your chin if you want less “WTF?” looks.

What a sad life it must be to constantly engross yourself in racism to the point that anytime someone of a different race looks at you its because they hate your skin. Be a fucking man and grow up. Someone looked at me!! BOO FUCKING HOO

I’m a white male and have gotten “the look” on occasion when walking into Harbor Freight in Worcester. Or walked past the welfare office in Worcester. So what. People suck, move on.

I’d give him “the look” too, usually you need to go to the circus to see a clown.

Oppression must pay well if he can afford to shop at Whole Foods.

That so-called look is people trying to figure out what the hell that thing growing on his chin is. Shave it off and “the look” will go away, bro.

Last time I checked there isn’t even a Whole Foods in Worcester, so he should take his complaints of racism to Framingham.
