via our homeslices at Fox25: Lowell Police responded to a report of an injured child at a home on Clare Street in Lowell at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Upon arrival, authorities found a 7-year-old boy, but officials say he was already dead. Preliminary investigation suggests the boy entered a fenced area and was attacked by two pit bulls on the other side.

Neighbors were frantically calling 911, watching in horror as the child was attacked. Once police arrived, they shot one of the pit bulls, but it continued to come at the officer, and then ran off wounded.

Records of the 911 call with a Lowell Police officer are chilling.

OPERATOR: Clare Street getting multiple 911 calls, a child’s being attacked by some sort of animal
OPERATOR: Lowell can you head that way too? Apparently the dog will not let go of the child.
OFFICER: Lowell, get the paramedic over here,
OFFICER: Lowell, shots fired, the dog is hit, it’s still coming at me.

On Sunday morning investigators were going door to door asking questions about what people had seen in the moments leading up to the attack.

“I heard someone yelling ‘It’s my baby! It’s my baby!’ and I come to find out that it was my daughter’s friend’s son,” said neighbor Annmarie Dizazzo.

Neighbors say the 7-year-old boy was playing with his older brother, and was either trying to pet the dog or jumped the fence before being mauled. Authorities are working to figure out if the boy jumped the fence or if he was pulled in.

Following the attack, one of the pit bulls escaped the enclosed area, but was found and euthanized shortly after.

Animal control currently has the other dog in custody.

The Middlesex County DA’s Office says they will not be releasing the boy’s name.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.”

OK, so… this may be an unpopular hottake, but hot it will be. I’m gonna hitch up my big girl britches and embrace the hate that may be slung my way afterward. It’s OK, you’re still my baes.

I’ve seen the comments on every-fuckin-news-site from here to Kathmandu on this story. We have two subsects of doucheynoodlebrained morons commenting: those who believe pitbulls are blood thirsty killer Cujos, snapping their gaping maws at anything that dare wander too close and those who believe they’re giant fluffy butts, can do no wrong, and it’s the KID to blame for being mauled.

I’m here to tell all y’all that you areeeee

in the words of the late and great Notorious BIG: “The weak or the strong, who got it goin’ on… You’re dead wrong”

So, who IS to blame here?

On the one hand, it’s the parent – given that this story is outta Lowell, there’s a 99.9% chance on the ratchet meter that this kiddo was in a one-parent household, that’s why I left it singular, instead of the plural, parentSSSS.

In today’s day and age, it’s not safe to let your 7-year-old gallivant around the neighborhood, especially not in dumpsters like Lowell, with such things to contend with as machete attacks, baby-killers-cum-panhandlers, and human trafficking.

Taking it a step further, if you’re gonna throw caution to the wind and let your kid traipse around, wouldn’t it be wise to drill into their head to stay OFF of other people’s private property?

With all that said… what 1st grader is infallible, though? Kids forget. Kids push limits. It’s what they do. They’re put on this earth to drive you batshit fucking mad from the second they come wailing into this world out of the tuna tunnel ’til the moment you’re on your deathbed. So… as a parent, you do your due diligence. You creep on them through the blinds, stand on the porch, basically keeping an eye from afar making sure they’re following the rules so you can allow them that kinda freedom. I mean, that’s what I think parents should do, but who the fuck am I? I’m a reformed hoodbooger and my turtlebabies have made it into teenager-hood, so I’m just guessing this is the best way to keep them alive during those pesky grade school years.

Anyway, it seems mom here was off ripping Newpie 100s on her stoop with a gaggle of ratchets while the attack went down, where she’s still sitting today, according to video, holding vigil while rippin’ butts in despair.

Anyone know who she is, hit me in my (in)box, please!

And of course, her naaaaaaaaaaaaybuh whose daughter used to hang out with her, like, all the time, jumped at the chance to get her 15 seconds. Get a load of this toothless wonder:

Looks like her dentures mighta slipped past her gums and down her gullet. Woopsies!

It’s clear the caliber of people we’re working with here, and it’s no wonder this poor kid met his untimely demise so soon.

OK so… it’s not just the mom at fault here. And I’m sure she’s kicking herself in the ass for this, so I’ll ease off.

Know who else deserves the same share of a shame sandwich? The needle-dicked chudstuffer who needs penile extensions in the form of walking, barking, and biting lawn asphalt ornaments to make him feel fulfilled as a man. Look at the area where the dogs were kept:

Half finished furniture, no grass, a couple of pallets stacked up, a random 2×4, couple of naked metal fence posts just chilling… looks like prime dog-raising real estate. Why anyone would get a couple of dogs of a much-maligned breed just to bolster their, uh, shortcomings, is beyond me.

Pit bulls can be great dogs. I’ve owned them. I’ve also met some totally fucked up ones. And let me tell you right quick: it’s NOT “all in how you raise them” – just as there are humans who come out of the gate with a screw or ten loose, there are dogs who are the same, especially when you get into overbreeding because of ratchet demand (which encompasses a shit ton of inbreeding.) But we’re not gonna argue that point here, because clearly, these dogs weren’t raised, nor socialized, properly. They were tossed in a concrete yard. They saw this kid as a threat to their 40’x20′ enclosure, and, were gonna do anything to defend it. Had the owner of these dogs actually been responsible and not much concerned about the size of his trouser trout, he would have been supervising his dogs, just as Mama Ratchet should’ve been supervising her kid, and everyone would be alive and well today.

We’d love to know more about the family and the dog owner, so hurry up and spill that tea to your girl NSTB! You can hit the TB Facebook Inbox or dump a load in my (in)box personally NorthShoreTurtleBabe@gmail.com

From What We Gather the kids or kid had tried to get in before and was repeatedly earned by the owner. Not sure if this is accurate but it was said he informed the mother on numerous occasions. The fence doesn’t look too safe but I don’t think that’s the issue here, the kid climbed it, didn’t squeeze through. These dogs have triggers we no not understand, banning them is NOT the answer

I’ve never owned a dog that WASN’T a rescued bully mix of some sort. And I never let them out of my sight. Smart, strong, tenacious, amazing animals who need constant positive interaction, and will repay any affection tenfold .
I’ve also ripped into a yuppie hippie hybrid douche nozzle neighbor (yeah Moti, you’re an idiot, oh and please wear a shirt) for letting an out of control 3 year old run screaming towards my dogs .
There is a balance of respect for the whole interaction that MUST be maintained. I feel for the poor kid, who wasn’t taught better. I also feel for the dogs, who also weren’t taught better. Fuck mom and fuck the dogs’ owner for a massive team fail.
How much tragedy does it take to force your asses out of the gutter?

F*** you and your stupid dogs. If your dog can’t handle a kid running by it, it deserves to be roadkilled. Dogs aren’t people. They’re animals. They have no rights and deserve no quarter. Pit bulls are a vicious, child-killing breed and no one should have them. Take your tree-hugging animal-loving hippy crap opinions and stuff them.

A dumpster full of blame to drop on all party’s involved.

What are the odds the dogs are licensed? Love the stealth warning signs. Pet Owner insured? If I was the landlord the eviction papers would have been served at the speed of light, with the sheriff putting stuff on the sidewalk for keeping hazardous animals.

Don’t get me wrong, but I have to call you out on your “one-parent household” comment. Look, there isn’t anything inherently ratchet about a “one-parent household” and to believe otherwise is pretty condescending. I was raised by a single mother and I turned out just fine (I have a PhD and a good job). This kid’s mother is probably just a bad parent, period.

Or the dogs owners could be from a two parent household. Where the wife is a stay at home mommy and sells “fit products” and joins “mommy” groups all day approaching 30 or 40 with no education. Two people together does not mean your kids will be smarter or make the right choices.

I dont know who the mother is of the little boy but its disguisting that anyone would write an article making jokes and accusations about a mother who just lost her child. In one of the articles i read it said the little boy was playing with a group of kids and im sure a mother wouldn’t just let her child go off unsupervised there was most likley someone she trusted like maybe a parent of one of the other children keeping an eye on them. If other adults witnessed the boy being attacked it makes sence to assume adults where watching the group of kids and if u say she was on her porch she could have been out there so her son could play outside with the group of kids.. either way this is clearly a huge tradegdy and im positive (being the mother of a child who was murdered) that she didn’t expect her son to be in any danger and is deffinetly beating herself up enough and feeling guilty that she wasnt able to save her child or keep him safe from harm.. terrible things do happen and no mother could ever imagine their child would be the victim untill it happens to you. I dont live in the hood i live in a nice house in salisbury i was at work and my child was supposed to be safe with my mother untill i got out of work but that normal day that i expected to end with my daughter serenity ended up being the worst night of my life.. i trusted my daughter would be safe with my mother but because of that decesion my daughter was murdered by a guy i had no idea my “mother” was dating and decided to leave my child alone with. I had no signs my mother(who has never even gotten a speeding ticket in her life never been introuble never dated conviced felons never lived in the hood) would leave my child with a psycopath i didnt know without telling me (after my mom knew he had been to prision for child abuse and was on opiates)… my point is im sure this little boy played with neighborhood kids before and had never been attacked by dogs so this mother like any mother would probably expected it to be just like any other day and thought her son was safe… she has to live without her son forever and who knows the exact circumstances but this mother did not throw her son to the dogs she should not be bullied like this she has to live with herself give her a break and have some compassion. Dont need to judge others off assumptions and just pray no unexpected tradegdy never happens in your family

There was only 1 pic of the lady and it was from far away and no ive never been to lowell.. i wrote this comment before they wrote another article all about the lady when it was just assumptions cause it was before they really knew anything about the lady.. it’s clearly a lot different from what happened to me cause i wouldn’t have let my child be somewhere unsafe unsupervised… i was giving the lady the benefit of the doubt cause she just lost her son and sometimes things happen that cant be predicted… i thought maybe it was a situation like mine where there was no reason to believe my child was unsafe or could be harmed but if he was in a dangerous area that’s a different situation cause anything could have happened..

      Wtf
      October 25, 2017 at 11:57 am

My insurance company said not to put beware of dogs signs up. That is admitting liability somehow by stating the possibility. I guess the only people who should use the signs are people who don’t have dogs. And it wouldn’t matter if he did or didn’t have a sign , I think the child still would have gone in. I don’t know why people are so surprised when an attack breed attacks. I was told my comparison of a lab and pit was not good for attack statistics. So I am going to find stats on pits and Shepard’s since they are also a lg breed on the bad dog list ANd used for attack. I still bet there are significantly less maulings.

    Wtf
    October 23, 2017 at 6:00 pm

The dogs owner is more at fault for sure. I guarantee the owner doesn’t have insurance to cover it. The landlord must be thrilled. I have 5 lg breed dogs, over 1 acre green lawn and woods with invisible fence, and work from home. My dogs bark and let me know but if there is zero threat they know and act accordingly. My dogs are trained to be good outside and all are around infants to elderly daily. However I make no guarantees if someone decides to come thru a window in the middle of the night that may not end well. I have one owned what believe was pit/boxer and she was the best dog ever for 10 yrs. someone should find the statistics on dog attacks and see how many are golden retrievers and how many are pits. There is a reason for the stigma.

“The dogs owner is more at fault for sure. ”

I used to make that mistake. I would equate fault with responsibility. So I’ll rephrase, the kids parent is more responsible for sure.

Sad, avoidable, preventable, horrifying death bestowed upon this little boy.. I can’t even begin to imagine what he went through. Why on earth did they need PITBULLS in an apartment..not one, but 2??…And why would a landlord “allow” it.?…(if they even knew).. If someone wants a pet in a apartment, especially with no land (yard), for it to roam…get a cat, No, not a mountain Lion..a DOMESTICATED CAT. I can’t, and won’t harm on the mom of the little boy, because I can’t even begin to know what she is going through. He was a 7 yr old (curious, rambunctios)little boy ,out playing. Unfortunately he found (not 1,but 2 ) PITBULLS, wanting to “play” as well. I almost wonder ,if it were just 1, the boy might have had a chance, because I’m sure the pitbulls were getting their agressivness off of one another. But I’m sure even with just 1 ,his chances were slim to none anyway. Poor kid

Leaving any dog– especially a big, muscular, smart, active breed– in isolation with little or no exercise and zero human interaction is just asking for BIG trouble.

Even a well bred pit bull with a good temperament needs a committed owner who actually loves the dog, spends time with the dog, demands good behavior, corrects ALL unwanted behavior on the spot, and provides regular exercise and playtime.
