So I’ve gotten a buttload of feedback from the bus-gate blog. Most of it’s been positive, and I just wanna thank all of you common sense folks out there that have our back. Glad to see that the vast majority of Worcesterites, and people in general agree that what happened at that bus stop was the work of savages. I’ve had people offer to buy me drinks and even a couple offers for courtship!! Mrs. Turtleboy is cool with it, but unfortunately the Turtleboy rides anonymously and monogomously. We gotta maintain the mystery of our identity in order to keep the hot takes coming.
The blog’s been viewed over 80,000 times, and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a single person in Worcester who hasn’t seen it yet. This of course includes the now infamous members of the Vernon Hill chapter of MENSA. A couple of them left comments in the blog, telling me what a jerk I am in various forms of broken english. Others are asking me to take down certain pictures. No dice.
Maybe I would consider it if they issued some sort of public apology and actually admitted that what they did is an embarrassment to a city that thousands of really decent, normal, hard working people call home. But that hasn’t happened. Instead all I’ve seen is a bunch of illiterate whining about how I would’ve totally done the same things in their shoes and blah, blah, blah.
Well one of these geniuses kicked it up a notch today. Jenna Scott, who was featured in the first blog for writing this:
….is evidently none too please with her new found fame. She sent our staff this threatening message on Facebook:
Oh snap!! Shit just got real!!!
Yea, this girl DEFINITELY has a lawyer on retainer. Definitely. I don’t have the heart to tell her that a public defender is not actually YOUR lawyer. Like, they don’t work for you. They’re a gift from the state and they’re there to do the bare minimum to make sure you get a fair shake in court. You’re not allowed to call them up to sue everyone who puts your world famous selfies on a blog.
But yea, I’m shaking in my boots over here. I need a public defender too. Unfortunately I work and pay taxes so I gotta actually pay for mine. Hopefully Michael Erlich or Anthony Salerno have a Groupon I can use.
So let me get this straight Jenna Scott. You reported my blog to Facebook? Awesome. I’m sure Facebook will get right on that. Mark Zuckerberg is probably gonna take this case on himself. And even though Facebook is not a blogging website, I’m sure he totally has the authority to shut it down. Right.
These lovely people just can’t stop proving my point for me, can they? If it’s not “taking” down, then she’s gonna talk to her lawyer, who is definitely a real person that her company uses to protect the Jenna Scott brand.
And I’m sure the charges of “harassment” will definitely stand up in court. LOL. People who don’t understand what Facebook is are just the tops!! Like, they think Facebook is some secret society where all information is G-14 classified. I guess that makes me Edward Snowden.
Apparently these people didn’t get the memo that Facebook is the second most trafficked website in the world, and what you put on there doesn’t actually belong to you. It belongs to Facebook. That includes everything you’ve ever written and every selfie you’ve ever used as a profile picture. You CHOOSE to put this stuff on the internet. No one put a gun to your head. You freely, of your own accord, called a bus driver who was doing her job a “bitch.” You voluntarily put five million selflies on your Facebook page. You CHOSE to make your page publicly viewable so that ANY PERSON in the entire world, could freely see your selfie collection in all of it’s glory:
You gave up your right to privacy hun. I’m sorry, but when you say dumb shit on the internet, you run the risk of getting Turtleboyed.
I actually hope she pursues this so I can get my day in court. It would be the best blog EVER!! Here’s how I imagine it playing out:
Judge: OK, what’s this case all about?
JS: Well ya see you’re majesty, the Turtleboy used my pictures in his Facebook blog and never even asked me nothing!! Then he put up a screenshot of me talking on Facebook, urging a group of my friends to kick the shit out of some wack-ass bus driver on there too!! That’s HARASSMENT YO!!!
Judge: OK, how did he get your pictures? Did he break into your house?
JS: No they were on my Facebook page.
Judge: Did someone put those on your page without your consent.
JS: No, I was just showing off my mad selfie skills.
Judge: OK, did he alter the pictures in an attempt to defame you?
JS: No, I always look fresh to def like that!!
Judge: Well, I’ve heard enough. Turtleboy your ass is getting the gas chamber!!!
You know what I blame the most for this happening? The fact that Maurice the Pantsman went out of business. That place was awesome. You can’t even find Poor Simon’s or Wyoming brand tee-shirts and slacks anymore. When that place went under it tore apart the heart and sole of that community. Do you understand the anticipation I felt every year for their annual sidewalk sale? Now all they’ve got is the Hotel Vernon and Hurricane Betty’s!! No wonder people are so pissed off over there!!
Anyway, I just wanna say that it’s complete bullshit that we haven’t heard a PEEP from a single city councilor about this. Dude, this is YOUR fucking city. I dunno about you, but I think this is a pretty bad look for everyone. Maybe, just maybe you guys and gals down at City Hall might wanna take a break from your busy schedule of of discussing where to put a hookah bar, and say something about this whole thing? Because if I wanna open up a business somewhere, the last place I would pick is Worcester after seeing that video. How about ONE of you comes out and says, “Those local boobs don’t represent Worcester, and we are actually ashamed of them.” What do you have to lose? Do you think those people vote??
The only elected official I have heard from, is perennial School Committee member #6, Tracy Novick:
“Everything that I have heard is that the driver acted professionally and was excellent throughout,” said school committee member Tracy O’Connell Novick. adding that she believes most parents acted appropriately.
First of all, it’s not really surprising that she’s not calling out the parents. Worcester had a ban on pan handling for about three weeks before she led an ACLU crusade to give bums the right to stand in traffic and ask for money. Obviously the pan handling law was a really good fucking law that everyone liked, so she joined up with the most useless organization ever created – the ACLU – and made sure that every addict in Worcester had access to money for their next fix. Well done.
How can you say that “most parents acted appropriately?” Where were these parents. Because I saw a gaggle of “parents” swearing at their kids to get their “mother fucking ass off that bus” before breaking in and evacuating OTHER PEOPLE’s children from said bus. Not once did I see a single parent try to intervene. Not once did I see a single parent tell the crowd to calm down and be patient. Not once did I see an individual step up to protect the bus driver. Because in the world I live in, that would be what an “appropriate” parent would do in that situation.
Was every parent there guilty? Of course not. I saw plenty of people standing around doing nothing. Congratulations. Now we’re commending people for doing nothing? That’s what we’ve come to? Being publicly praised by an elected official for NOT acting like a complete savage? That’s the only thing she had to say about this? How about saying “most of the parents acted like wild animals, while others stood around and watched in disbelief.” That’s more accurate. But hey, at least she said something, which is more than I can say for the other five school committee members and the 11 city councilors.
Like, if I’m an outsider, this whole thing makes Worcester seem like a shithole. And Worcester for the most part is NOT a shithole. We elected you people to represent us, not so you could stand in line to sniff Obama’s jock strap when he came to the Worcester Tech graduation. I wanna hear SOMEONE call the parents out on their shananigans. I wanna hear SOMEONE say that the behavior of these people is not representative of Worcester. I wanna hear SOMEONE say that the children of Worcester deserve better role models than this. Can SOMEONE please keep it real around her besides me? Why am I the only one talking about this?
And oh yea, where’s the Telegram and Gazette? I’m still waiting for the scathing article from the editorial hacks over there about this. Instead every time I open the paper it’s another article about the Common Core or pitbulls. Yet another reason why you can’t trust the mainstream media and why the people NEED the Turtleboy Sports revolution.
