Humorless Hooked On No Funics Mom Vows To Get 5 Teachers Fired For Giving Light Hearted “Award” To Her Son Because He’s Autistic And Doesn’t Get Jokes

I’ve seen a lot of dumb parent outrage on the Internet machine, but this one out of New Bedford takes the cake.

Stop the ride, I wanna get off.

It’s a satirical end of the year, light hearted “award” that teachers, who clearly care about their students, give to them as a joke. Like when teachers called you the absent minded professor if you forgot your homework. It’s a joke. Remember when jokes were still a thing? Before we let every whiny poon on the Internet complain about how outraged they are over every perceived slight that comes their way?

You tried putting my son down you know what you are putting yourself’s down.

This person reproduced. God help us.

My son is not the one lost in the crowd you are.

It was a FREAKING joke!

I am a very proud mom of having a son with autism and he is doing a very good job in school even though he struggles a lot.

The next clam who uses their kids autism to go viral on Facebook is getting cunt-punched. You want your crotch fruit to feel included? Don’t freak out over a satirical award that other kids also received, but whose parents didn’t cry about it on Facebook.

You 5 that signed this you are should not even be teaching. Your discrimination to my son will not stay like this. I will go wherever I have to and do whatever I have to so you can eat your words.

You wanna know what discrimination would’ve looked like? Them singling your kid out as the only one who didn’t get a gag gift award because he’s too stupid to understand the nuance. Instead they included him because they’re not terrible, joyless twats like you.

I want to tell Normandin Middle School teachers which are the ones who signed this that you should be embarrassed of yourself.

The only one embarrassed here is you, not only for your inability to understand what this piece of paper actually meant, but for your complete and utter desecration of the English language.

I prayed to the Gods of sanity when I saw the number of comments that most people would point this out to her. But silly me, I completely forgot how dumb and humorless the Internet has become.

Another buzzqueef chimed in about how offended she was about the award her poon polyp got.

“Most likely NOT to be able to find a paper in his over stuffed binder.”

Get it? Because Nick has lots of papers in his binder. His teachers who see him every day notice that, just like they probably have for thousands of other disorganized middle school boys. God forbid someone make light of this at the end of the school year.

Internet, I’m really disappointed with you. I thought you were better than that, and that we could hopefully sit this one out. But instead you ruined everything and you made me write this blog at midnight on a Friday. Be better Internet.

P.S. Get a job and instead of pawning your kids shit and peddling your garbage on Facebook.

Are you all really that inhumane? Would you be OK with a teacher who gives a student with cancer an award that says, “most likely to die early?“

Sometimes I find myself laughing pretty hard at those “bad news doctor” memes; so I wouldn’t necessarily be one to call it inhumane. Maybe ill-advised or inappropriate. It can be a coping mechanism for some people. I’ve also read that it’s the ones around cancer patients that tend to take the most offense when someone attempts to lighten an otherwise difficult moment with gallows humor.

If this was a joke between him and his teachers over something that really happened, her not getting the joke herself says more about her than it does about her him or his teachers.

Her losing it about this on *Facebook* alone over her concerns with her sons school is not going to help any of his teachers trust her to work *with* them in the future.

He’s on his way to high school with a tendency to “get lost in a crowd.” He needs her to start teaching him how to handle the crowd, not just make it bigger with her momma bear bullshit.

You all get upset and rant over other peoples ignorance. Yet you honestly think that laughing at an autistic child who was reinforced negatively by his teacher is a good thing? Both of the teacher’s actions and your responses are fucking despicable frankly.

You all need to get some education around autism and related issues. Because you clearly clearly are deeply fucking ignorant, much like the assholes you are constantly posting about on this page.

    Hi.

I am a father of an autistic junior high school girl. I’m originally from Mass, but live in overseas. I like to check in at Turtleboy from time to time, I like most of the stories, but not this one.

To the person who wrote this…

“My kid has “autism”! My life is harder than everyone else’s! Give me free stuff!! I’m another victim!!”

I agree on the last part of your statement about being a victim, and give me free stuff, but raising an autistic child can certainly be much harder than raising a neurotypical child.

My daughter is smart, bilingual and does well in school. Most people wouldn’t realize that she is autistic at first glance. Many people would say she is high functioning autistic, but on bad days for her, functioning normally is impossible.

But the stress and anxiety can really get to her at the start and end of the day. It alters her life that makes it hard for her to do things that we all take for granted.

How many hours in a day do you spend asking your child to get out of bed, come to the dinner table, get out of the bath tub or get out of the toilet? My daughter can easily spend over two hours in the toilet room or the shower room. Getting my daughter off to school in the morning is a full time job, and there are many days that she wants to take school off in the morning. It is impossible for my wife to work full time and be there during the day when my daughter needs it.

Most people wouldn’t make fun of kids with cancer, why is it OK to make fun of kids with autism?

How would a parent of a cancer victim feel if their child won this “award” — Most likely not to buy a comb.
    That teacher would be fired…

Those teachers who signed his award should do some self-reflecting.

People are fukn ridiculous these days. I remember in school getting awards like this. I remember also in yearbooks under your picture it would say things like this. You people get so butt hurt over the stupidest shit. As far as the my kid with autism bullsh*t.. Its old. Half of these kids that “have autism” don’t have fukn autism. You parents make your kids disabled and stupid for some sympathy and a check every month. Its sickening how many kids I see that “have autism” that are perfectly fine, get straight As, play videogames all day, do everything fine, but because they wear glasses, having a missing tooth, can’t hear out of one ear or something stupid you parents scream autism. Gtfoh. Stop sheltering your children let them be fukn kids and stop looking for attention and pity from the world. You people are fukd. When I was a kid growing up it was so different and I’m only 30. Lighten the fuk up you wack jobs

    June 17, 2019 at 1:33 pm

I see both sides this issue.

Mom is upset because she feels the award they gave her son makes it seem like the teachers are picking on the boy. I think the fact that got missed in all this is that her son previously did got lost in a crowd somewhere.

The teachers, probably very aware of the needs and mental capacity of this young boy, were careful as to what “gag award” they gave him. I am sure it not malicious in nature but rather simply a light-hearted jab that was something the boy could relate to.

It seems like every child got one of these awards and this was the teachers attempt to make every child feel included.

    Just my opinion.

    • Kelly
      June 19, 2019 at 7:29 am

The fact that he previously got lost is something that shouldn’t be mocked or made light of. That would worry any decent parent sick. And it also puts the kid unprotected in a strange environment where any predator could just snatch them.

Get over yourself and learn that just because you walk thru life with a stick up your ass and use autism as a excuse for EVERYTHING you are no different or any more special than anyone else. Would it have been better if they didn’t give an award to him at all? Nope, cause you would be bitching that he didn’t get one. Your that mom that people see and say here we go, it’s here. your kid screams and moans and disrupts everyone else but it’s all good, cause he has autism, so you smile and laugh while he annoys the living shit out of everyone, and just think the rest of the world has to smile with you and just put up with it. We all have to listen to you complain about this and that, and if anyone has anything to say in return it’s HE HAS AUTISM. If you stayed off drugs when you were pregnant maybe that wouldn’t be a issue today. You should be thankful for everything you have and get since you use his autism as your excuse for everything. You live in New Bedford.. That was a cute award. If it said most likely to shit himself, I could see you being upset. But this was just another excuse to call attention to yourself. Stop! Just stop cause it’s really getting old. Maybe you should put your special boy in a special school. You would never do that though because you would have so much less to bitch about and how would you spend your time. Your that incredible mother on Fakebook hahaha!!! And in reality your a nightmare that nobody can stomach and you are far from what you portray yourself to be. You profile pic for example, that’s not what you look like. It was wrong for this parent to vent on social media. Bringing problems to the attention of the teachers should always be first. Give the teachers a chance to explain and perhaps apologize without a public lynching.

Sorry – but IMHO, think this is in poor taste for teachers to do these type of awards for any student. They don’t really serve any kind of purpose for anyone.

“Them singling your kid out as the only one who didn’t get a gag gift award because he’s too stupid to understand the nuance.”

Most on the spectrum are not “stupid or retarded” — in fact, many are extremely intelligent and have high IQ’s. Many do not understand social cues or jokes — but they understand being laughed at and being bullied/picked on.

Autism is NOT caused by alcohol or drug abuse either — already been proven. Just like vaccines are not the cause of autism.

Not taking either side on this one. Teachers are wrong for pointless awards that serve zero purpose. The parent was wrong for social media/public vent and not speaking with teachers first.

No “chance to explain” should be needed. This has been going on for decades and this is the very first time I’ve heard about anyone having a problem with it. A lot of schools do it just so that nobody gets left out when they have class superlatives in the yearbook. It’s like a participation trophy. I can’t believe that people exist who have a problem with it. Fuck every single one of them. Way to help your kid assimilate.

So what is the cause? As far as I knew they didn’t know what caused it so how can anyone honestly say that drug or alcohol abuse has nothing to do with it. If someone who used drugs or drank while pregnant and delivered a baby who has autism or any other birth defect, It would seem to me that them using these substances had to have caused some damage. If they don’t know what causes it, they can’t rule out anything

And what about the parents that don’t do ANY drugs or drink alcohol?? What’s the cause of their kid on the spectrum?? You said: “they didn’t know what caused it so how can anyone honestly say that drug or alcohol abuse has nothing to do with it.” I guess by your logic, you could say vaccines could be a factor, too??

They don’t know what specifically causes cancer either, nor do they have any one cure. By your logic, drugs and drinking could be a factor for cancer, too??

Majority of the people do not have a true understanding of autism. Don’t get me wrong — I don’t like the parents that abuse the system and want their kid to be super special. Or the ones that want the school system to take care of everything for them. They need to step up and take more responsibility. Their parenting just sucks.

When I was at school, no-one of the 1000 kids had autism. Not one.

Now every fucker has it and uses it as a victim card. It’s just an excuse used by the parents whose kids are just a bit stupid.

Is everyone a fucking victim these days? Does no-one take responsibility for their own actions and failings? Or has everyone just got a fucking excuse so nothing is EVER their fault.

    Society is fucked.

Come take care of my son, bitch. You wouldn’t last an hour. Thank whomever you may pray to that you don’t have to deal with the issues that come with having an autistic child. No question there are parents that try to game the system for their bratty kids, and it sounds like you’d be one of them.

When you’re the low IQ moron – it’s not surprising you wouldn’t notice the others around you. And then comment on a blog outing yourself.

It’s an endless source of outrage, entertainment and utter ridiculousness. Every day they wake up looking for something inappropriate, something to be pissed at or some bandwagon to jump on. Instead of taking it to the teachers privately, she goes directly to the echo chamber that is facefuck knowing full well it’ll get all the other shitweasels cackling.

How about an award for the parents. Most likely to have a messed up kid because of drug abuse.
    Just a thought
