Fox News Seattle published this “open letter” yesterday from some Seahawks fan named “Amanda from Tacoma” complaining about how the Patriots behaved at their parade yesterday. Apparently she thinks the Patriots were disrespectful for holding up pictures of Richard Sherman memes and “Bitch Mode” t-shirts. I swear to God, someone who claims to be a fan of the team that is notorious for being loud, brash, and obnoxious in victory, is complaining about the way another team disrespected them. It is truly one of the most hilarious, idiotic things I have ever read. I have italicized what she wrote and followed it by our bolded Turtleboy commentary…

Let me start this letter off by saying that I am not a Patriots a fan. I was rooting for the Seahawks during Superbowl 49. I was confident in my team and was just waiting for that 2ndring to fall into our hands. The Superbowl was an exciting game to say the least. Your team played well and was able to push back our defense which many teams have not been able to do.

Clearly this girl has never watched football before 2012. First of all, Super Bowl is two words. Secondly, pushing around defenses is what the Patriots do. Ever heard of us? We’ve been doing this since ought one. Your defense is good when it’s going against some chump like Colin Kaepernick, but this is a real team led by a real quarterback in New England.

Even though we fought our hardest and in those last seconds of the game it seemed as though we had the win in our grasp, you swooped in with an interception to clinch the game.

I will admit I was extremely disappointed and crushed because it really looked like the win was ours yet it just slipped right through our fingers. Even though I was upset, I walked away having a lot of respect for your team and how well you played. I felt as though we played a team that was able to give us a run for our money and that we had to work hard to keep up with. I was never a fan of your team but I gained respect for it after the Superbowl.

Shut up.

Let me move on to the point of my letter. I am not unfamiliar with the trash talking that occurs between teams in competitive sports. It’s the ugly nature of the beast and for the most part it just comes with the territory. The excitement and pressure that comes along with such a high profile and competitive job is inevitably going to bring out what I’d like to call the green-eyed monster. People will bash you when you are successful and especially when your success has become a threat to their own.

Yup. Welcome to life as a Patriots fan.

However, there is a line to this harmless fun that should not be crossed and I think your team crossed it with your behavior during your celebration parade. Flying off at the mouth during the intensity and high stress moments of a football game is one thing, but going out of your way to parade around in front of your fans holding disrespectful signs and t-shirts directed towards the opposing team is simply bad form.

Newsflash – the team that you are supposedly a “fan” of, is notorious for being professional agitator dooshnozzles. Flying off at the mouth is the only reason people know who Richard Sherman is. Remember when he came up to Brady and said “You mad bro” in 2012? Remember when he went home and tweeted a meme of it that went viral later? Remember when after beating the 49ers to get to the Super Bowl last year he called Michael Crabtree a “sorry receiver” and told him he was gonna “shut his mouth for him?”

But yea, tell me more about how Julian Edelman holding a sign of Sherman TAUNTING us during the game is in bad form. This is like something straight out of The Onion. Here’s what her “classy” team did during the Super Bowl:

1) Started a fight like the punk ass bitches they are after they realized they’d lost.

2) Backup safety Jeremy Lane said Rob Gronkowki “isn’t a very good tight end” leading up to the game.

3) The sign that Edelman was holding was a picture of Richard Sherman mocking Darrelle Revis for allowing a touchdown to Doug Baldwin, that he had nothing to do with. A play in which Baldwin used the ref as a pic intentionally. That’t not rubbing it in. It’s called irony.

richard-sherman-tom-brady-meme

4) Doug Baldwin was penalized for literally pretending to shit the football out of his anus after scoring said touchdown.

But yea, tell me more about the “lines that shouldn’t be crossed.”

The spectacle that players on your team have created not only rubs salt into an already painful wound but it tells those around you that you have no respect for any other teams or their fans. You are telling the world that it’s ok to beat someone while their down and that when you win you should throw it in people’s faces.

This is exactly what the Seahawks are all about. Rubbing salt in painful wounds and disrespecting teams they beat as much as possible. It’s why they exist. You just didn’t notice because you’re a Seattle pink hat who doesn’t really pay attention to the game or anything else. Your goal is to make noise and buy a 12th man shirt because everyone else is doing it.

I would think you would want to be spending your celebratory parade actually celebrating your Superbowl championship win instead of dwelling on the other team.

Or we could do both.

Any respect I had for your team before this incident was quickly lost when I saw your arrogant and unprofessional behavior.

No one gives a shit if you respect the Patriots. Literally no one. You don’t matter. All you are is some moron writing an “open letter” on Facebook. People who write “open letters” are the worst people on earth. It tells me that you’re not at all confident in what you’re saying so you post something on Facebook hoping it gets enough likes until it goes viral.

Am I saying that the Seahawks have been perfect in this area? Absolutely not. But I can say without a shadow of a doubt that we have never taken things to the level you have chosen to and I honestly find it despicable.

The Patriots are unprofessional now? Ummm, you realize who your starting running back is? Marshawn Lynch. The guy who literally refuses to honor his professional obligations and speak with the media. The guy whose trademark involves grabbing his penis and thrusting it towards the team he just scored on. Yea, the Seahawks have never taken it to the level that the Patriots have. They’re altar boys. Oh yea, and your coach stood and applauded what was literally the worst call in NFL history made by a bunch of scab refs a couple years back:

pete-carroll

But please, tell me more about this “professionalism” you speak of.

I would have to say that in this case, a sore winner is much worse than a sore loser. You are the Superbowl champions. Focus on that and be proud of yourselves for your hard work. You don’t need to demean other people to do that.

Shut the fuck up.

All you are doing in the process is hurting the organization you represent and losing the respect of many potential fans around the world.

Newsflash – we don’t give a shit if the rest of the world doesn’t wanna jump on our bandwagon. Bandwagons are for fake teams in fake cities like the Seahawks. All we do is win. If bandwagon fans aren’t down with that then I don’t know else we can do for them. Either way we literally thrive on the blood of butthurt fans from other teams.

When you win, win with dignity and class no matter what other teams may say and do. Be the team that everyone looks at with respect and admiration.

OK Mom.

The NFL is a great organization to be a part of and I hope that you will do it justice by acting like a team that deserves to win by not only your physical attributes and skill sets but by the quality of your character.

The NFL is literally the biggest joke going. It’s been a haven for sexual deviants, child abusers, drunks, drug addicts, steroid freaks (particularly in Seattle), and people who like to beat the shit out of their girlfriends when they talk back. But please, tell me more about how we should be honored to be a part of the NFL.

Be a team that everyone else strives to be like and not one that others see and shake their heads in disappointment. In the end, it is just a game.

Sincerely,

Amanda from Tacoma, Washington

It’s just a game? Good God. You give women everywhere a bad name. There are thousands of women who read this blog that want you to shut up because you’re reinforcing stereotypes about women and sports. Just go back to watching The Bachelor and let the real sports babes try to undo the damage that Erin Andrews has done to their reputation.

The bottom line is the Patriots already are a team that everyone else strives to be like. We win all the time. That’s what everyone wants. No one cares if you lose while pleasing Amanda’s from Tacoma. They only care if you win. That’s what we do here. Welcome to New England toots.

Screw Amanda and her hypocrisy. However, if you’re going to publicly rag on her improper use of “Super Bowl,” just know that it would be more effective if you spelled “douchenozzle” correctly. Spelling it dooshnozzle takes away the actual importance of the word and nullifies the sting of the insult. Lol Just flicking your sack Turtleboy. 🙂

    Dear Amanda,

We Patriots fans can learn a great deal from your approach to good sportsmanship. Having spoken with Mr. Kraft, Mayor Marty Walsh of Boston, and the Patriots organization – we would welcome the opportunity for you to come plan out next year’s parade for us when we go back-to-back. In addition, please feel free to offer recommendations for proper signs along the route, as well as choice of celebration hats for players such as Gronk. Again, our fan base is eager to learn about your expertise with in-game gesturing such as proper defecation of a football, as well as which players to target when starting a fight during a kneel-down. Thank you again for reaching out to us with your concern and disappointment in the greatest superbowl ever played.

    Signed,

Six states worth of Patriots faithful.

P.S. – If you don’t think we’ve been through some trying sports moments, look up 1960-2002, ’07 and ’11 Patriots, 1973-2010 Bruins, the Post-Bird Celtics, and 1919-2003 Red Sox teams (all of them). The difference is, we don’t write open letters to Yankee fans on celebration etiquette.

Baldwin and Sherman are two of the most classless, unsportsmanlike thugs to ever take the field in NFL history.

Amanda, You need to be able to take it if you dish it out. You can suck on my masshole, but as an olive branch I will place a piece of sweet hard candy in it so that you wont taste the bitterness of losing.

Guess she doesn’t remember the classy history of the Seahawks. Jerramy Stevens the rapist, serial drunk driver, woman beater who ruined Hope Solo’s career. Lamar Smith the RB who paralyzed his teammate while drunk driving. Brian Bosworth, a true pioneer of massive steroid abuse. Steve Largent, parlayed his fame from the Seahawks to vote against women’s and gay’s rights in Congress.

Next year you will hear about Seattle as a disappointment, then in 2 years you won’t hear about them at all. In 3 years it will be back to the way it was 3 years ago when no one in Seattle cared about sports.

Remember when Seattle had an NBA team that had to move to Oklahoma of all places because they literally had the worst fans in the history of the NBA!
