PFT – The Colts have announced that 4,500 unsold tickets remain in advance of Thursday’s extended deadline to sell all non-premium seats. If the tickets aren’t sold by 4:35 p.m. ET, the game will be blacked out in and around Indianapolis. The first 24-hour extension resulted from the New Year’s Day holiday. In theory, another extension is possible… Potential blackouts also are looming in Cincinnati and Green Bay. If all three games aren’t televised locally, the wild-card weekend will have more blackouts than all 17 weeks of the regular season, combined. The fans in those three cities deserve to see the games. If the NFL won’t lift the blackout policy for the postseason, then the billionaires who own the teams should buy the extra tickets… Also inevitable is a potential eruption from Mt. Irsay, who surely is dismayed at the lack of local support for his team.

How is this even possible? Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Green Bay can’t sell out a freaking playoff game? I can understand people in Cleveland refusing to go to a game on account of they suck so bad, but these teams are actually good year in and year out. Cincinnati MAYBE I could see having problems sell out their stadium since it’s pretty much the capital of Kentucky, but what’s the deal with the other two? Green freaking Bay? I thought the Cheeseheads up there were the “greatest fans in the NFL?” And Indianopolis? I know it’s a bunch of fair-weather midwesterners out there, but besides two years ago when they purposely tanked, they’ve made the playoffs every single season. They win all the time, they have one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the league, and they play INDOORS!! What the hell is wrong with the people of Indianapolis?

The Patriots make the playoffs every freaking year as well. I couldn’t even fathom not seeing that place sold out. Granted the wine and cheese crowd who sit in the red seats will be watching the game on the TV’s inside, but at least the game won’t be blacked out. Any team that can’t sell out a home playoff game is a disgrace to the NFL. Their franchises need to be confiscated and moved to somewhere where the fans will actually appreciate the sweet deliciousness that is the National Football League. Like Mexico. You know what happens when an American company doesn’t work in the states? It moves to Mexico. Problem solved.

I don’t know man…games are much more enjoyable at home…throw in the -51 degree wind chill for green bay on Sunday…I can see myself choosing to stay home.

In defense of the green bay fans, the high temp. on game day is supposed to be -6. This game is a night game so it will be even colder. I give them a pass.
