Masslive: A 36-year-old inmate who stabbed and punched a corrections officer then spat blood on other corrections officers claiming he had AIDS was sentenced to serve 12-to-16 years in prison Wednesday. Edwin Santiago pleaded guilty to armed assault with intent to murder, eight counts of assault and battery on a corrections officer, assault and battery on a public employee, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon in Worcester Superior Court.
Santiago ran at corrections officers inside the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction in West Boylston around 10:15 a.m. on July 11, 2012 while in the courtyard, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. Assistant District Attorney Timothy A. Westerman said in court that Santiago ran at corrections officers, Sgt. Anthony Oliveri and Officer Jesse Remillard holding a sharp, metal object in his hard.
“Mr. Santiago hit Officer Oliveri in the face and stabbed him several times,” Early’s office said in a news release. “Mr. Westerman said Mr. Santiago then spit blood and saliva on other corrections officers, claiming he had AIDS.”
Oliveri and Remillard spoke in court during the sentencing. Oliveri said he has post traumatic stress disorder and is suffering from anxiety because of the attack, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported. The sergeant wondered if he was going to die and not see his young children grow up, the newspaper reported. Westerman asked for a sentence of 29-to-30-years in prison while defense lawyer John P. Morris, asked for 10-to-12-years.
“This was a viscous attack, which easily could have resulted in death,” Early said in a statement. “Corrections officers have a dangerous and difficult job, and I thank them for their response to this attack and the work they do every day. I also want to praise the tremendous work ADA Westerman did on this case.”

So just to review. This guy is an animal. He is beyond rehabilitation. The second he gets out of prison he will kill people, because that’s just what he’s all about. The prosecutor asked for 30 years, and in the first time in the history of law and order the defendant was asking for MORE time. And what did Let Em Walk Walker do? Gave him 12 years. I mean, if you’re not gonna throw the book at a guy who is begging you to throw the book at them, then who are you ever gonna throw the book at?
Of course anyone who knows anything about this Deval Patrick-appointed hyphenated social justice warrior, knows that letting criminals get away with their crimes is what she does best. Like that chick who confessed to killing her own baby:

Or that time a jury found a man guilty of trying to rape a 19 month old baby, and she punished him with………PROBATION!!!!
Of course one of my favorite fuck ups by Let Em Walk Walker happened just last summer. In 2014 she was the judge in a murder case from 1994. Two years later when the murderer appealed his case to her again, she ruled that she fucked up and the murderers lawyers didn’t protest her fuck up, and thus the murderer’s conviction was overturned:
“In agreeing with an appeal filed by Mr. Fredette, Judge Kenton-Walker ruled that she issued improper instructions to the jury before it deliberated, and that Mr. Fredette’s lawyers, Michael S. Hussey and Paul Rudof, didn’t protest the error.”
Oh good, she’s not only ultra-lenient, she’s also ruled herself incompetent. Great. Unfortunately for the victims sister she now has to relive this pain all over again:
“No verdict or punishment will ever bring Kevin back, however, after 20 years of waiting we have finally received some closure in the form of justice,” Ms. Ramirez said. “We are heartbroken to think there is even a possibility we will have to relive that night, in the courtroom, yet again.”
This is why criminals in this state are running wild. Because our judges are out of control. It’s pretty simple really. Bad guys who are a threat to society need to be in jail. And we need politicians who will appoint judges that actually care about protecting society from bad guys.

Edwin did not ask for life, as quoted, he stated he didn’t care whether he got life. Stop with the he begged for a life sentence, cus now you’re flat out lying! So now here is the thing…. what he did is downright deplorable and very much in line with the descriptions of animal. What you don’t know is Edwin was diagnosed as delusional Schizophrenic at the age of ten. due to a POS absentee dad, and a whore of a mother, he has gone his whole life without proper care and treatment. I am not trying to downplay his actions, nor condone them.
But before you condemn this guy to level of animal , think about this… this is a young man who is very, very sick, Coupled with unloving or uncaring parents and no medical treatments for his disease. the children were never a part of the fathers family and he never even brought them to meet their grandfather. therefore the extended family had no way of helping. So yeah this kid committed a heinous crime but did he do it cus he is an animal ready to kill wherever and whenever the mood strikes or is it the actions of a mentally ill person who has never had a chance at a normal life. Probably doesn’t matter to you people, since you see what you wanna see. And TB never posts anything that would actually show compassion for those who suffer silently. Kind of like a letter of apology that was written in regards to some ill thought statements after the the Tarantino killing. he didn’t post it. MA has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, and Judges have the ability to enforce these laws. But it’s a revolving door, with a lot of the same faces. If you can’t get judges to enforce these laws and sentencing then what’s the point. People know if they get caught with a gun while selling drugs, there’s a good chance they will serve no time for it so it’s worth the risk. Start FREAKING hammering these people and they will start to realize that the bs games are over and they will actually serve time. They used to cut people’s hands/fingers off for shoplifting in Cape Verde….only have to do that once or twice and no more shoplifting.

Watched her admonish a group of witnesses in a harassment case for not working. It had nothing to do with the plaintiff or the defendent. They were just there in support. Youwould have thought if u walked in this sutton judge was trying them. She is the opposite end of give em a dinosaur sentence lemire. We can thank the governor’s council for these beauts.
Perhaps extermination is the only way to deal with this type of filth trash.
