This story is everything that is wrong with Massachusetts and the “it’s a disease” morons:

SourceDanielle Mastro, 33, of Pembroke, was arraigned Wednesday in Brockton District Court on charges of motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license. She pleaded not guilty, but was held on bail. Mastro showed little emotion during the court hearing, even resting her elbows on the ledge of the glass enclosure and casually putting her hands on her face.

Combra was driving her Chevrolet Equinox SUV north on Quincy Street at the time of the crash. She and her passenger, a 53-year-old Brockton woman, were returning to the Department of Mental Health office that is on Quincy Street. They were heading back after lunch following a morning meeting in Westboro. As Combra was stopped in the northbound lane, attempting to turn left into the office’s parking lot, she was rear-ended from behind by an Audi A6 sedan. Police say that vehicle was driven by Mastro, whose license was suspended. She was driving the car that is registered to her mother, Susan Mastro.

When Combra was hit from behind, her SUV spun out and into the southbound lane, where the impact pushed her head-on into a dump truck. The truck driver, a 41-year-old Brockton man, tried to avoid the collision, but ended up losing control and his vehicle tipped onto its side and skid across the front lawn of 164 Quincy St. The truck stopped inches from hitting the home. While Combra was laying in the road, having been ejected from her vehicle and clinging to life, police say an uninjured Mastro walked away from the scene.

“She admitted to either being texting or calling on her phone,” said Assistant District Attorney Dan Jimenez. “They asked her who she was texting or calling and she stated she was calling or texting her drug dealer. She stated she was dope sick and she was trying to buy narcotics.”

Mastro was planning to buy $50 worth of heroin from a man she was meeting on North Quincy Street, Jimenez said. She started to walk north on Quincy Street and stopped a passing vehicle so she could charge her dead cell phone to make a quick call to her dealer, the prosecutor said. Officers found her on Pinehurst Avenue, where she was evaluated by paramedics, then taken into custody for questioning. She was later arrested after an interview with Brockton detectives.

“She stated that during the day, she had approximately six nips of alcohol,” Jimenez said. “She stated that her last nip was approximately around 1:30 (p.m.). This accident happened around 2:15-2:20 in the afternoon.”

Prior to that, the prosecutor said Mastro fled from a traffic stop in Hanson and led officers on a brief chase. The Enterprise learned that an officer pulled Mastro over about 2:05 p.m. following a road rage incident in town in which she was following another vehicle too closely. After she pulled over, Mastro fled into East Bridgewater and Whitman before entering Brockton, police said. The prosecutor asked Judge Stephen Ostrach to hold Mastro on $100,000 bail and that he revoke her bail on a continuance without a finding on a resisting arrest charge in Stoughton.

Look at the fucking damage this loser caused:

Stop feeling bad for these people. They’re self-centered pieces of human garbage. They don’t have a disease. They have selfishness. The only thing that has ever mattered to them is themselves. She wanted drugs, even though drugs are illegal, so she did them anyway. She wanted to drive, even though she has a suspended license, so she drove anyway. The cops tried to pull her over in Hanson, but she didn’t wanna stop, so she ditched the cops. The innocent woman in front of her wanted to turn left, but she didn’t feel like paying attention to the road because she wanted more drugs. As the innocent woman lay dying she could’ve gotten out to help or see if she was OK, but she wanted to charge her iPhone so she could call her drug dealer.

These are not the actions of a sick individual. They are the actions of a selfish individual.

And did I mention she’s had her license suspended EIGHT FREAKING TIMES!!!???

Here’s my question – why couldn’t the cops stop her in Hanson? Or in Whitman? Or in East Bridgewater? How fast could she have possibly been going? As usual, I blame the culture created by black lives matter. It doesn’t matter that this woman is white either. The fact of the matter is that when you run from the cops, you should get shot. End of story. Don’t wanna get shot? Don’t run from the cops. But now cops can’t do that because black lives matter whined so much about cops shooting them.

She was also driving an Audi and lives in Pembroke. By all accounts her parents seem perfectly normal, and more than likely have provided everything they could for their daughter. But she chose to become trash. And all you assholes out there whining about a “disease” just enabled her. Every time she “relapsed” (as if it’s just something that happens) her enablers told her how strong she was instead of telling her what a piece of shit she is.

The only smart thing Danielle Mastro has ever done is not create a Facebook page (or has she?) because now we can’t find out everything about her. And a chick like this is the kind of chick who doesn’t know how to shut the fuck up once she gets a social media account.

It’s just infuriating because the victim seems like a wonderful human being. A true loss for society. The ultimate tragedy. She did nothing wrong, chose NOT to do drugs, and leaves behind loved ones who can’t make sense of what just happened. Meanwhile you have this dipshit sitting in court like this:

Fuck you and your fake ass disease.

The bottom line is people like this are enabled by society because we give them this crutch to use by telling them they have a disease. They don’t. They just need to cut the shit and stop doing drugs. It’s really quite simple. If there was a zombie apocalypse tomorrow and they couldn’t get any heroin they’d find a way to go on with their lives. Instead we tell them that their actions are beyond their control which makes them think that it’s OK to “relapse.” Because you’re just gonna have their back and tell them how strong they are for trying anyway. Keep telling people like this they have a disease. You’re part of the problem.

she took an innocent person’s LIFE. if anybody really cared about addiction they should be screaming for laws allowing family members and the court to commit addicts to locked treatment without the ability to sign themselves out for a minimum of six weeks and than a re-evaluation and continuance of commitment as long as necessary. a three day detox is essentially useless .it takes almost a year for most the the drugs to clear at a molecular level and for the patient to be able to think in a rational manner. the problem is that once a person reaches legal age he/she is free to destroy themselves and our society has deemed the individual to run their life as they see fit. now that this person has taken a life the state can commit them. some states are more “progressive” than others. it’s up to you on how you want the state to regulate this issue. sorry, that’s the way it is.

Turtlebrains blaming this on BLM, for not stopping and a lily white entitled female in an Audi? So before BLM, cops would have shot her dead for fleeing a traffic stop? Pathetically stupid.

So what you are saying is because this woman went to Brockton where she had to be for a meeting, it’s her fault that this waste of life bitch killed her because she was more concerned with getting drugs then driving the right way. A family just lost a loved one and your comment is well stay out of Brockton. The shitbag who killed her was from Pembroke so does that makes her better, even though she sticks needles in her arm? The woman that died did not deserve to. How you can blame the person who died is sick. Period

Real talk, I was a benzo/heroin addict for about 5 years before I got clean in 2011. I’ve stayed clean simply because I never bought into the disease concept. That mentality essentially tells the user that they’re not responsible for their shitty behavior, and that relapse is “inevitable” and beyond their control. Most NA meetings are riddled with Bulls caps, Newport 100 smoking ratchets, and they all need signatures for court, otherwise they wouldn’t be there.

My first sincere comment on this site: congratulations and good on you for kicking addiction’s ass and not being the “woe is me it’s a disease” victim, I truly applaud people like you who have the drive and discipline to kick themselves in the ass and turn themselves around. Thank you for improving my mood after reading this tragic story.

That story infuriated me. However, take pleasure (as little as it may be) in knowing that she won’t make bond and her “dope sickness” is going to kick in big time. She will be sick, miserable and sober. A trifecta of savagery for that pos.

Bring back addiction centers that are similar to prisons. MAKE THEM STAY THERE
UNTIL THEY’RE COMPLETELY OFF DRUGS. My whole neighborhood has
gotten infested by people like her, I’ve had two overdoses on my street in
the past week. Every drug addict here has been breaking into cars lately trying
to get money for drugs. I am SICK of them.

You can have them sectioned and then they go to a place like Bridgewater State prison. Not to the jail part but the detox part and they are mandated by the court to be there for a minimum of 30 days. They receive nothing to help with the detox, they are monitored by medical staff only but given nothing to help curve the withdrawal. Problem is that you have to go to court, have be a immediate family member and ask the judge to section them. Then of course they get a lawyer to defend them against your claims. Most times the judge will section the person and issue a warrant for them if they are not already in custody. Problem is that if they don’t catch that person that day the warrant expires and you must go back to court and start the process all over again the next day. Which is why it is so hard to do.

Legal corner case question. Couldn’t she also be charged with OUI because of the dope sickness, a result of being dependent on a drug, had altered her judgement and behavior in the first place? Just because the drug is not presently in your bloodstream should not affect the claim that you are indeed operating under the influence of a drug, when absent, affects your ability to safely drive. I’d like to see the Prosecutor try that charge on for size and see if he can argue for another aggravated charge.

I say this all the damn time, and they almost always get away with this type of shit by being given a choice to go to rehab or join a program. Of course they choose the rehab, leave earlier than mandated, “relapse” and the cycle continues.

Drug addicts like this sociopath are not innocent victims. They know exactly what they’re doing and they give no fucks who they hurt, as long as they get what they want. Yeah there are addicts who feel guilt about hurting their loved ones, but most of them end up getting help because of that guilt, and it also helps them stay clean. Those are few and far in between though.

This dumb junkie really pled not guilty? LOL.

“Police say that vehicle was driven by Mastro, whose license was suspended. She was driving the car that is registered to her mother, Susan Mastro.”

Her mother should be charged as an accessory.

If she claims the daughter took it w/o permission, then slap that one with stealing the car.

      • Justme
        October 5, 2017 at 7:42 am

I think alcohol is the gateway drug. Pot is the gateway to the refrigerator. When someone gets drunk their inhibitions become low and they are more likely to do things they probably never would have before. But that’s just my opinion.

      • "Gateway" is a moron
        October 5, 2017 at 9:44 am

Idiot. Pot doesn’t lead people to heroin. If you are in a circle of friends who use heroin, THAT is what makes you vulnerable to trying that drug. Blaming heroin use on cannabis itself is a fallacy. My buddies and I used to smoke cannabis often for years — not one of use ever tried heroin. The temptation never even dawned on us.

      • Mark
        October 5, 2017 at 10:09 am

Actually it’s been proven that alcohol is the biggest gate way drug not pot. I bet she started with alcohol

      • Are you f**king kidding me?
        October 5, 2017 at 11:22 am

Right. It’s the “kids doing pot” that does it. Not the doctors prescribing Vicodin that’ll kill a horse for a papercut, it’s the pot smokers and their gateway reefers.
